Hilla blushed. Just as she was about to say sothing, soone who was surrounded in the center caught her sight.

Julian’s sight had been following Hilla and thus he did not miss the sweetness between her and Bruce just now.

He curled his lips into a smile. He was not that friendly, but he had no intention of pretending not to know her.

After he finished chatting with a few executives surrounded, he directly walked towards them.

Seeing he walked over straightforward, Hilla blinked and suddenly felt that he was not coming for her. So she was fully at ease.

Julian then stopped in front of them. As his gaze fell on Bruce’s face, he gently raised the wine glass in his hand, "Mr. Anderson!"

"He was here for Bruce!" Hilla couldn’t help but secretly heave a sigh of relief and thought.

She had once required Julian to stay away from her or even pretend not to know her.

It was harsh, but Julian did as she required.

He had never taken the initiative to disturb or approach her on purpose.

After all this ti, the resistance and wariness she had for Julian had gradually turned into guilt.

"Mr. Jorgansen!"

Bruce and Julian raised their glasses and took a sip on the wine. Everything just looked fine and harmonious.

However, Hilla could still feel the indescribable hypocrisy between them. Even the hand that Bruce had placed on her waist seed to gradually tighten as he lowered his head and smiled.

Well ... gentlen!

Smile over all the hatred? That was under the premise that they were not her husband and ex-boyfriend!

Though Julian was only an ex.

"The Jorgansen Group has just taken over the developnt rights of the Cloud Garden in Moon City. I wonder if Mr. Anderson is interested."

All the people at this party tonight were aiming for the developnt rights of this land! And Julian had just extended the olive branch so easily!

He was so calm and gentle as if he didn’t care about it at all.

When they stood together, they looked surprisingly harmonious and handso. At

this mont, Hilla, who was standing beside Bruce, suddenly felt that she was unnecessary.

Hilla thought, "You two look perfectly match when you smile at each other!" Taking a step back subconsciously, Hilla saw Queeney who was not far away.

She was staring at the two n beside Hilla. Seen what she was thinking from her eyes, Hilla frown.

It seed that Queeney was not only interested in Bruce’s developnt rights of the eastern district of Brightbush City, but also the Cloud Garden in Moon City in Julian’s hands.

What was more, Queeney’s eyes were clearly saying that she did not want the Anderson Group to cooperate with the Jorgansen Group.

Hilla looked at Bruce before her gaze turned to Julian.

Bruce didn’t agree to Julian’s invitation on the spot. Instead, after exchanging a few polite words with Julian, he prepared to leave with Hilla.

"Mr. Anderson, do you mind if I have a word with Hilla?"

There it was! He had actually said it!

Things between them had nothing to do with her! Could they stop involving her in their business?

Hilla really wanted to cry! With her eyes on Bruce innocently all at once, she was hoping that Bruce would understand she was with him!

But Bruce did not look at her at all. Instead, she could feel that the hand on her waist clearly exerted more force.

Was he trying to kill her now? Or when they returned to bed?

Hilla couldn’t help but turned her head nervously. Before she could turn her body around, she heard Bruce’s cold voice ca up with a smile on his face, "Yes!"

Damn it!

It was overbearing and unreasonable, but she liked it!

Julian curled his lips into a faint smile. The hatred in his eyes was covered by the bright crystal light, which made it impossible to be seen clearly.

"Then let’s et another day."

Julian left as soon as he finished speaking, but Hilla was stunned.

Did he say that to Bruce or her?

Why did she feel that Julian’s words just now had a deep aning?

As Hilla kept wondering, Bruce said with his icy-cold voice, "She will not be available at any ti!"

"How daring!" Hilla was shocked.

Not long after Julian left, a charming girl walked out from the corner.

Margaret took a peep at Bruce from aside with a wine glass in her hand and let out a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, she used to be abroad and didn’t have many friends in River City. Plus she had gone to Far City soon after she returned. With makeup on today, everyone thought that she was Julian’s female companion instead of one of the Andersons.

Margaret knew it well that her identity was special. So the mont she entered the party, she hid spontaneously.

Julian frowned to look at her sneaking around like a thief.

"Where did you go?"

"I’ve always been here!"

Margaret covered her face with a wine glass as if no one could see her.

Julian looked at the unreal face under the red wine with hidden anger, "Are you a thief?"

"No!"

"Stealing sobody’s husband?"

"What?"

Margaret lost in thought,

"Mr. Jorgansen, what did you say to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson?" Margaret pretended not to hear his sarcasm and asked softly.

She thought that she just kept an eye on him in case he putting his feet in Bruce’s marriage.

Bruce had spent a lot of effort in getting married and he had not had a child even now! He was from the Anderson family no matter what, so she must protect him! Did Mr. Jorgansen want to make trouble for him? Dream on!

No, not even dreaming! Girls who hurt her brother were unforgivable! "Mrs. Anderson?"

Julian gnashed as he split out this title. He looked down at Margaret’s face reddened by the wine. Her eyes were full of charm.

Frowning, she bit her lips and looked back innocently. Julian smiled coldly and said, "This is not the right title!"

Margaret wondered, "Damn it, I know you want Hilla for a long ti!"

...

Margaret followed Julian thievishly. After greeting a few people, Julian turned around and found her disappear again.

He subconsciously frowned. Before he could pull her out, Queeney had already walked over to him with her graceful footsteps.

She did not bring along Rigel. Obviously that she wanted to say sothing that she did not want her son to know.

"Mr. Jorgansen."

Queeney chuckled, bringing all of Julian’s attention to herself.

Without the Richards Group, Queeney was still a beautiful and elegant lady.

However, a noble lady without strong support was less charming.

She had to attend such kind of business party that she rarely got involved in previously. The woman who had always been dignified and elegant beside her husband had to take the initiative to greet people with a smile today.

In front of these businessn, her smile was so calm and flattering that even she did not expect it to be.

She used to think that she wouldn’t adapt to the vanity fair. So she tried to be attractive eye candy at ho in order not to let n lose interest in her.

It was till today did she discovered that going after fa and money, which she had previously disdained, was sothing that she could actually get into her stride and not even feeling the slightest discomfort.

Even Queeney herself was amazed that she was actually good at this and even felt a bit of pleasure.

"Mrs. Richards."

Julian looked back at her and heard Queeney cut to another point after a few false exchanges, "I heard that the reason for Mr. Jorgansen to co to River City this ti is to find a partner for the developnt of the Cloud Garden in Moon City."

Behind the faint smile was Queeney’s question that she was most concerned about.

Julian kept quiet as he knew clearly that from the mont he entered this party, everyone’s goal was actually the sa. What the people around him wanted was obvious.

However, the manpower and material resources needed for developing the Cloud Garden were not affordable by ordinary companies. Although so of them were jealous, they wouldn’t overrate their abilities to ask for that.

"I wonder if you have already selected a perfect candidate from this party."

In face of Queeney’s direct question, Julian still maintained a distant but gentlemanly smile on his face. His smile was soft but contained so certain sense of distance.

Such a person was the hardest to approach.

Shaking the liquid in the cup, Julian’s gaze fell on a sneaky figure not far away. His lips curled into a faint smile, "It seems that after the cocktail party, Mrs. Richards will give an answer."

Queeney was dumbfounded as she did not expect Julian to play push-and-pull with her.

As one of the four major families in River City, the Richards were weaker than the Andersons and the Fentons. But with their current value, they could do this project.

Even if they couldn’t do it, they could contract it out. Although they had to share part of it with others, the profit of the Cloud Garden project was still considerable.

She now suspected that Julian and Bruce might have co to an agreent in private just now.

"Would you consider the Richards family?"

Queeney twitched her lips into a smile. Since Julian had not made it public, there were still possibilities that she could get it.

No matter what he had said to Bruce, now that she had directly asked for that, Julian should say yes for the sake of the Richards family. Even if he was unwilling, he could not...

"I won’t consider it."

He was rejecting the Richards family!

Queeney stood on the spot in shock. She thought that with her quick move, Julian would give it to the Richards Group. After all, he could give it to anyone for all the four major families of River City could do this project.

Since the Richards family was the first one in the line, he had no reason to refuse them.

But he did, and there was no room for negotiation.

The humble expression on his smiling face just made Queeney grit her teeth in hatred.

Her husband, Mr. Richards, did not personally co forward, but Julian’s direct refusal was also not taking the Richards seriously.

"Mr. Jorgansen ... is straightforward."

Julian smiled, "I have always been like this in terms of business. Thank you for your praise, Mrs. Richards."

"How about taking it into further consideration?"

Queeney had her teeth gritted and the smile on her face went frigid.

Insight of the girl that was about to flee again, he chuckled and said in a low voice,

"Excuse ."

Then he left without even the slightest glance.

Queeney was simply beyond surprised. It was said that the head of the Jorgansen Group that was newly appointed two years ago was a cold and decisive handso elite.

It now appeared that he was more than unfathomable.

On the other side, being caught red-handed, Margaret had to follow Julian to the break room. Wearing an impatient face, she lowered her head and complained silently that she had not t all her friends at the party.

"Have you seen Margaret?"

Hilla had been with Bruce all along. While Margaret said that she would also attend the party.

Now that she was here, Margaret vanished without a trace. Hilla couldn’t help but wondered if there were too many people here, or she was deliberately hiding.

"Yes."

Bruce retracted his gaze from the corridor nearby and said indifferently.

"You do? Where is she?"

Having her eyes searched everywhere, Hilla still found nothing.

Bruce held her waist and said with his calm expression unchanged, "She left."

"She left? With her boss? Why didn’t she say hello to ?"

Hilla frowned subconsciously as she wanted to know who the boss was and whether Margaret could rely on him or not, though she said that she was having a good life in Far City.

The Anderson family did not seem to have spent much effort on her. While in fact, they were the most attentive to Margaret.

Seeing that Bruce was calm and did not look worried, Hilla felt relieved. It seed that Margaret’s boss and company were trustworthy.

"Forget it, let’s go. She’s going on a business trip. Maybe she has to go out with her boss to socialize."

Hilla murmured. Bruce smiled with satisfaction when he saw how considerate Hilla was.

"I want to take a rest."

Hilla raised her head and said. Hearing this, Bruce took her to the seat aside and then he lted into the crowds again.

As soon as she sat down, soone appeared in front of Hilla. The next second, she saw a cup of water.

"Take it. You have been drinking wine all night."

The man said in a clear voice. Raised her head and saw Rigel in a suit, Hilla was a little embarrassed.

"Rigel." When she opened her mouth, she realized that sothing was wrong and imdiately changed her words. "Mr. Richards."

People usually called him by this na these days, but when he heard her call him that, he only felt it unreal.

It was as if they were even further away as if sothing was impossible! Thinking of this, he found it hard to breathe and thus he subconsciously clenched his hands!
