It seed to be a special night. Hilla asked Margaret to take care of Halle. She sat at the table and looked at the scene outside the window.
At night, the sky of the city was magical. It was not as dark as the countryside and always had a glimr of light, which seed to attract those who were lost in the dark.
Dressed in a silk veil, Hilla looked out of the window and felt the breeze on her face.
Being caressed by the breeze was so comfortable. Hilla smiled and got up to open the glass door.
The wind poured in. The room instantly beca cool.
Hilla leaned her head against the bed and stared at the Apple of the Eye in her arms, the only thing she had kept.
Fortunately, she wasn’t so stupid and didn’t throw everything away.
The wind fluttered the white wheat curtain.
Hilla felt the wind blowing on her body, and the heat on her body was taken away.
She smiled and closed her eyes to sleep.
The living was still alive. They had to move on.
She suddenly felt empty without the first half of her life.
Early in the morning, there was a layer of cold air at the airport.
The sky was not bright yet. There was no sign of the sunrise.
At the landing field of the Anderson family, a private plane landed. The man who ca down from it was tall and straight. He looked calm and steady.
The subordinates waiting outside lowered their heads, staring fixedly at their toes as Bruce in a pair of high hand-made leather shoes walked past them step by step.
They were so nervous that every step seed to be stepping on their hearts.
Jas followed closely behind and quickly told the assistant the multinational order of hundreds of millions of dollars that Bruce had just signed with Robert Hoover.
Jas needed to give them assignnts over there as soon as possible. Then, he took the file that the assistant had collected and walked towards Bruce, who was sitting in the car.
"Bruce, according to your request, we have investigated the current situation of the Holt’s mansion. Rudi had asked the Demolition team to tear down it last afternoon. Hilla was at present and left late last night."
Jas looked at Bruce carefully. "Rudi gets part of the demolition rights from the Key Group, so..."
You should not target the Holt’s mansion. It was clear that Rudi wanted to make trouble for Hilla.
What was in Rudi’s mind? Such provocation was the sa as slapping Bruce’s face? What’s more, his target was Hilla, Bruce’s treasure.
It was impossible that Bruce could forgive him.
Bruce flipped through the file and threw it to Jas. He asked, "Where is Rudi?"
Jas lowered his voice and said in a formal manner, "Last night, he recruited three young models. They are at Island Hotel now, not far from the Holt’s mansion."
Bruce sneered and Jas was scared. Every ti Bruce sneered, Jas felt that soone was going to be in trouble.
Rudi said in a cold voice, "He’s in a good mood."
Jas thought that Rudi must be very happy since he had just done a blow to Bruce and bullied Hilla.
"Drag him to the Mourning Garden."
Drag...
Jas was stunned as he pondered the aning of this word.
It was a place that the Andersons would visit every year to worship their ancestors. But usually, few people went there. Bruce ordered to take Rudi to the cetery. To see a ghost?
Bruce was ruthless!
Jas quickly replied, "Yes." Then he called and arranged people to drag Rudi to the Mourning Garden.
The house had been cleaned in advance.
It was resplendent, and the crystal chandelier above was shining with a burning light.
Bruce leaned lazily against the sofa. He was wearing a white suit. The buttons on his collar and cuffs were open. He looked strong and sexy.
A mont ago, he looked like an elite. But now, he seed dissipated and unrestrained.
Rudi touched the red dart in his hand. It had a sharp tip with a dim light. He was silent and pointed it to the huge human turntable. Rudi had been dragged over and tied on it.
"What do you want to do? Who are you? I am the young master of the Anderson family. If you let go now, I can spare you."
Rudi, who had been tied to the board, twisted his body and found that his waist seed to have been wrapped in tape. It was very quiet and he could only hear the
sound of footsteps.
His head was covered by a hood and he couldn’t catch his breath. He wanted to curse and beg for rcy. But he could only keep shouting.
"I am Rudi Anderson. Do you know the Anderson family in River City? It is not good for you to catch . If you dare to hurt ..."
Before he finished speaking, he heard sothing brushing against his face.
And it was fixed on the hood.
It almost scared him to kneel on the ground. Fortunately, he was tied up.
"Who ... who are you? Don’t hurt . If you want money, the Andersons have a lot of money. I can give you the shares of the Anderson Group. You can have countless money in the future."
Jas shook his head. Rudi, you even wanted to sell out the shares of the Anderson Group. You had touched both of Rudi’s bottom lines. You were toast.
Jas looked at Bruce, who was in a rage now.
Bruce let out a sinister cold snort.
Rudi was startled and said nervously, "Who? You..." It sounded familiar.
"Since you want to give the shares, we’ll satisfy you." Bruce’s voice was cold. It sounded like a devil from hell, as if he could kill others easily.
"Bruce!"
Rudi quivered. When he realized that it was Bruce, he shouted angrily, "You are so despicable. How dare you kidnap ? I will tell Master Anderson to take back your power."
"Do it once you can leave here."
Rudi said indifferently. Then, soone ca over with an equity transfer agreent.
The hood had been removed. The strong light made him narrow his eyes. It took him a long ti to see clearly the man sitting on the sofa. Bruce looked like a king.
...
Rudi sighed with relief when he saw Bruce. He felt reassured and said, "Bruce, what are you doing? Let go of ! If you hurt , Master Anderson..."
A dart ca over.
A dull sound was followed by a hoarse roar. The dart was shot into Rudi’s flesh. Rudi was in great pain.
Bruce had two darts in his hand. They were not long but could make Rudi twist in pain.
Bruce looked down. He was arrogant, unrestrained, and casual. He looked calm and gentle from appearance. He said, "What if I hurt you?"
Rudi was covered in a cold sweat because of the sudden dart on his thigh. He took a deep breath and said, "Bruce, we are a family."
"Family? When?"
Bruce raised his eyes. His deep and dark eyes were so scary.
Rudi was frightened. He realized that Bruce was infuriated now.
Bruce was a gentleman in front of others. He was decisive in business. And he used to show a little rcy to Rudi.
The past half a year had made Rudi forget that Bruce was a fierce lion.
The lion had awakened. But Rudi still wanted to break his teeth.
When Bruce was unconscious, Rudi didn’t make it. Now Bruce was awake. Bruce treated him friendly before, which made Rudi forget the consequence of angering the lion.
"We’re family. We’ve always been family. Bruce, let go. I’m sorry..." Rudi replied with trembling legs.
The room was filled with the bodyguards of the Anderson family, but no one helped him.
They only listened to the order of Bruce, who had always taken charge of the Anderson family.
"Sign the agreent."
Bruce said indifferently. Then a person ca forward with the agreent and stuffed a pen into Rudi’s hand.
Jas put on a long face and said, "Please sign it."
Rudi shook his head. He couldn’t sign it. As long as he signed, he would have nothing in the Anderson Group. He was nothing without shares.
"Bruce, give another chance. I’m sorry. I will change myself. I promise to listen to you in the future."
If he didn’t beg for rcy, Bruce would kill him here.
They were at the Mourning Garden where the Andersons ca every year. Lucas was Tyree’s illegitimate son, so Rudi was not qualified to co here. For people like Rudi, they would never co here if they couldn’t seize the power from Bruce, even when they died.
Rudi ca here last year with Tyree as a grandson of the Anderson Group when Bruce was unconscious and might be a vegetable that would never wake up.
Rudi had thought that he was going to take place of Bruce. Things were out of his expectation now.
"Rudi, you should sign the agreent."
Bruce was indifferent to Rudi’s words. Jas had to urge Rudi to sign it.
Rudi threw away the pen and shook his head, "I won’t sign it. The shares were given by Master Anderson. No one can take them away. Bruce, forgive . I won’t go against you. I only want the annual profit, even if you ask to leave the company."
As long as he had the shares, he would get more money as it developed better. The shares were as important as his life. He couldn’t sign the agreent.
No matter how he guaranteed, Bruce, who was sitting on the sofa, remained silent and didn’t respond.
Jas urged Rudi anxiously. He thought, "Rudi, just listen to us. It will be better if you sign it. If Bruce gives you more darts, you will be hurt more seriously."
Jas thought in his mind. But Rudi still tried to beg for rcy. If Bruce got annoyed, Rudi would end up worse.
"What’s more, I will apologize to Hilla personally. I will kneel in front of her." Rudi suddenly thought of what he had done yesterday.
Yesterday, he felt proud to take revenge on Hilla and Bruce. But he didn’t expect the consequence.
When Rudi ntioned Hilla, Bruce seed to have reactions.
However, this reaction was not what Rudi had imagined. Bruce’s eyes beca colder and more vicious.
Jas noticed it and quickly said, "Sorry, Rudi."
He asked soone to seal Rudi’s mouth. Finally, the seal was found in his underwear pocket.
Jas took the seal with a handkerchief in disgust and stamped on the agreent.
Then he gave it to Rudi respectfully and said, "Rudi has signed the agreent. His
attitude is very good. He will record the video."
With his mouth sealed, Rudi, who couldn’t make a sound, shook his head. "I won’t record any videos for you. Jas, you lackey. I don’t agree with it at all."
Rudi nodded and glanced at his watch. It was six in the morning. It was a perfect ti for him to buy Hilla’s favorite foods for breakfast.
"If he doesn’t record, give him all the darts on the plate."
After saying that, his palm landed heavily on Jas’s shoulder. He said seriously, "Be accurate."
Jas nodded.
He never played the darts before, but he could have a try.
Bruce stood up and left alone. Jas took a dart and spun it in his hand. He pointed at Rudi and said, "This is my first ti playing darts. If my skills are not good, forgive ."
Then a dart flew out. Rudi rolled his eyes in horror and fainted.
Jas looked at the dart above Rudi’s head and sighed, "Not as good as Bruce."
The morning sunlight shone into the house. The room was tranquil and peaceful.
Bruce opened the door and stepped in quietly. The cool air inside made him frown.
The body on the bed was curled up in the quilt. Hilla lay in a corner like a little pitiful abandoned girl.
Bruce closed the window and got on the bed carefully. Then he stretched out his arms and pulled Hilla into his arms.
