In Chu Yelin’s car, Lin Qian sat in the back seat with the two brothers.

The car moved forward along the road, but the atmosphere inside the cramped space wasn’t lively.

Chu Ziyang glanced at Chu Yelin in the driver’s seat, then at Lin Qian, whose mind was clearly elsewhere. His little mouth twitched, "Daddy, have you and Mommy been discharged from the hospital?"

Earlier, Mr. Yin’s expression didn’t seem right, and Mommy’s eyes were red—sothing must have happened between them.

Since the kidnapping incident last ti, Mommy and Mr. Yin have been at odds, but she wasn’t as despondent as she is today.

He could tell that in Mommy’s heart, Mr. Yin weighed more heavily than Daddy.

But right now, Mommy left Mr. Yin behind and left with Daddy instead.

Sothing definitely seed off.

A pang of guilt lingered in his heart. He should’ve been happy seeing Mommy and Daddy together, but for so reason, the feeling in his heart wasn’t quite right.

Because this so-called happiness was built on deceit—he felt sorry for Mr. Yin.

"Yes, your Mommy and I have been discharged from the hospital."

In the driver’s seat, Chu Yelin glanced at the rearview mirror, curling his lips slightly in an expression of satisfaction.

Since Lin Qian and Yin Moran had hit a rough patch, she was bound to accept him and live together with the boys moving forward, wasn’t she?

"Mommy, what’s wrong? Did sothing happen?"

Lin Zirui, sitting next to Lin Qian, grabbed her hand, his little face filled with concern as he asked.

Mommy was crying.

Earlier, she told them it was because she was emotional about being discharged from the hospital, but he instinctively felt that wasn’t the real reason.

Mommy must have had a falling out with Mr. Yin!

And not just any falling out—sothing big!

Hearing this, Lin Qian’s gaze fell on the little guy’s face. Seeing his features resemble Yin Moran’s faintly, for reasons unknown, her eyes suddenly reddened.

She opened her mouth, trying to say sothing, but nothing ca out.

"Zirui, Ziyang, your Mommy isn’t in a good mood today because she’s decided to break up with Yin Moran."

Chu Yelin, who was driving, glanced at the rearview mirror. Seeing Lin Qian remain silent, his dark eyes flickered and he spoke up.

He wanted to take the opportunity to push her into making a decision.

With all the drama between Yin Moran and Qiao Xiya, Lin Qian should be cutting ties with Yin Moran completely.

Chu Yelin’s words made both brothers freeze in shock.

Lin Zirui’s little face tightened as he suddenly raised his head, "Mommy, is it true? Are you really planning to break up with Mr. Yin?"

Why would Mommy suddenly decide this?

Was it because Daddy had saved her, prompting her to make this decision?

If that was the reason, he couldn’t accept it!

Lin Qian’s hand unconsciously clenched. Her gaze t the little guy’s dark eyes, and she opened her mouth, unsure of what to say.

Break up!

Was she really going to break up with Yin Moran?

Her emotions were chaotic; she hadn’t even thought through things clearly yet.

But if she didn’t break up with him, could they still continue as if nothing had ever happened?

No, it was impossible!

"Mommy, say sothing! Is Daddy’s claim true? Are you breaking up with Mr. Yin because he saved you?"

Beside him, Chu Ziyang’s little face showed complex emotions. Like his brother, he anxiously looked at Lin Qian, struggling to voice the thoughts they both shared.

A vague feeling of guilt surfaced. Why wasn’t he as thrilled as he thought he would be upon hearing this news?

"Of course that’s not the reason."

From the driver’s seat, Chu Yelin scanned the two little figures in the rearview mirror, his smile faltering slightly.

"Your Mommy made the decision because she’s seen Yin Moran’s true colors. He’s nothing but a scumbag—one eye on what’s in his plate and the other on what’s in the pot. Last night, reporters spotted him spending the night with Qiao Xiya at a club in Yun City. The two of them..."

"Enough!"

Lin Qian suddenly interjected, cutting off Chu Yelin’s words.

Her beautiful apricot-shaped eyes shimred with tears as she tried to suppress the emotions surging within her. She reached out to pull the two boys sitting on either side of her into her arms.

"Zirui, Ziyang, Mommy isn’t sad. From now on, I’ll be happy simply watching the two of you grow up safely."

She no longer wanted to waste ti on romantic pursuits with n.

Just give her so ti—she would sort out her emotions.

Hearing Chu Yelin and Lin Qian’s exchange, the brothers stared in stunned surprise.

The two siblings exchanged a look, their identical frowns expressing their shared bewildernt.

At this mont, both of them were thinking about the sa question.

Had Yin Moran really gotten tangled up with Qiao Xiya again?

Could it just be a misunderstanding?

Particularly Lin Zirui, as he recalled Yin Moran’s dignified, arrogant face—it was hard to believe he’d willingly abandon their Mommy.

However, seeing Mommy’s current condition made it hard not to believe that this ti, the situation between Yin Moran and Qiao Xiya wasn’t a trivial squabble.

It must’ve escalated so significantly that it completely crushed Mommy’s spirit!

Lin Zirui’s gaze shifted from Chu Ziyang to Lin Qian as he looked up at her, "Mommy, don’t be sad. My brother and I will always be here for you."

Though he didn’t quite understand everything yet, his priority for now was to comfort Mommy.

Lin Qian lowered her gaze, her eyes eting the little boy’s dark, bright ones. Her heart ward, but her nose tingled with incoming tears again.

She quickly regained control of her emotions, raising a hand to gently pat the boy’s head. She curled her lips slightly into a soft smile, nodding.

Honestly, she was too much like Lin Daiyu right now! It’s just a breakup with a man—hadn’t she gone through one before?

It wasn’t a big deal!

Besides, unlike four years ago, she now had two well-behaved, thoughtful sons by her side. She should count her blessings!

"Mommy, Zirui’s right. Don’t be sad—you’ve got us here with you."

Beside them, Chu Ziyang’s guilt had slowly faded away.

So Mommy was breaking up with Mr. Yin because of his issues, not because he had lied!

Well, that was reassuring!

Chu Ziyang visibly relaxed, savoring the sensation of Lin Qian’s slender hand brushing over his soft hair. His dark eyes twinkled as he added, "But Mommy, going forward, I might spend even more ti with you since Brother has been selected by the National Research Institute. He’ll soon be leaving ho to begin a long-term, fully imrsive learning program there!"

What fantastic news!

This wasn’t just a proud mont for his brother, but it was sothing that filled him personally with joy, too.

Mommy had spent the past four years mostly focused on his brother. Now he’d have her all to himself!

Was it bad that he felt a little giddy about this?

Chu Ziyang secretly basked in his own delight.

"What?! Zirui, is this true? Did you really get selected by the National Research Institute?"

Lin Qian’s gloomy mood instantly lifted, replaced by surprise and excitent.

While she felt it was to be expected, hearing the news confird thrilled her beyond words.

Her son was truly remarkable!

"Yes, Mommy, I got selected, but I’m still deciding whether to go."

Lin Zirui wrinkled his little nose, looking conflicted.

The National Research Institute was a place of prestige and allure for him.

Though his excitent overwheld him, the thought of leaving Mommy behind made him hesitate.

But what could he do if he didn’t want to leave her?
