Yin Moran drove the mother and her two children to the kindergarten.
Along the way, the atmosphere inside the car was hardly enthusiastic.
Yin Moran’s lips were tightly pursed as he watched the three in the back seat, his eyes deeply fixed.
He knew that marrying Lin Qian would not be a smooth process.
He just hoped these two little ones wouldn’t add more trouble.
Upon arriving at the kindergarten, Lin Qian took the two little ones inside.
Watching the backs of the two brothers, Lin Qian sighed silently in her heart.
She understood what they were thinking!
What should she do now?
Upon getting back into the car, she t the man’s profound gaze.
Lin Qian straightened her hair beside her ear and gave him a forced smile.
Yin Moran’s warm large hand held her small one, his dark eyes deep as ink.
"Qianqian, rember what I said, don’t push away and don’t listen to your sons," he said firmly, his magnetic voice carrying an intimidating force that instinctively made one want to submit.
Lin Qian pursed her lips, her smile deepening.
Changing the subject, she said, "Alright, let’s hurry back to the hospital! Today is the last day for routine examinations, I have to enter the isolation room tonight, don’t I? I’m a bit nervous!"
Once all her tests ca back normal, she and Candy would start the matching process for the transplant.
She took his advice and tried not to overthink things, just kept moving forward.
"Don’t worry, the surgery for you and Candy will be perford by the hospital’s most authoritative hematologist. There won’t be any problems."
"Mmm, I know! I’m not worried about the surgery, I’m just worried about my two sons."
Lin Qian paused, "I can’t watch over them every day, I’m afraid Chu Yelin will take the opportunity to take them away."
Yin Moran had arranged for the best physicians for her and Candy; the surgery was bound to succeed.
But she couldn’t personally pick up and drop off the little ones these few days, and she really feared Chu Yelin would do sothing.
"Rest assured, I will have soone watch them, Chu Yelin won’t get the chance to take the kids away."
Yin Moran’s dark eyes held a firm resolve.
He wasn’t worried Chu Yelin would take the children away.
Not yet.
He could tell that Chu Yelin wanted to use the children to make Lin Qian choose between him and himself.
So he wouldn’t push Lin Qian to extres unless absolutely necessary.
What he truly worried about was Lin Qian, afraid that her concern for the children would leave her indecisive.
As the car drove on, Lin Qian looked out the window with a mind full of mories from the morning’s news.
Feeling uneasy, she took out her phone and called Su Yu’an.
This ti, the call went through.
Lin Qian breathed a sigh of relief, waiting for the call to connect.
After a few rings, it was finally picked up.
"Hello?"
The voice of Su Yu’an sounded muffled, and it was noisy on his end.
Lin Qian hastily asked, "Yu’an, I saw the news this morning. What’s going on, why were you with Gu Yan?"
On hearing this, Su Yu’an fell silent for a mont on the other end, "Qianqian, there’s a bit of a situation on my end... as for the news... give so ti to calm down before we talk about it."
Hearing this, Lin Qian did not press further.
"Alright, if you’re busy with sothing, go ahead. Yu’an, if you need any help, don’t hesitate to tell ."
"Okay, I know, I’ll hang up now."
After the call ended, Lin Qian bit her lip and looked at her phone screen, her brow still furrowed.
She really didn’t know what was going on.
Why would Su Yu’an be seen entering a hotel with Gu Yan?
Her instincts told her sothing was off.
The image of Fang Tong crossed her mind.
This person caught an early flight; why hasn’t she sent a ssage by now?
Lin Qian opened Fang Tong’s contact and called her.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed is turned off."
Fang Tong’s phone was off?
Was she on a plane?
Why didn’t she say anything before leaving?
Lin Qian pouted her lips and put away her phone.
Yin Moran, watching Lin Qian from the front seat, felt a flash of displeasure cross his face.
"Qianqian, don’t concern yourself with other n, do you hear?"
She was thinking about Su Yu’an early in the morning.
Could her mind not occupy itself with just one man?
Lin Qian was startled and turned to look at him, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
This man, could he be any more overbearing!
An alleyway in isolation.
A man wearing a duckbill cap hurried along.
He wrapped his coat tightly around him, frequently glancing back in panic.
Several n in black were checking around the area, obviously pursuing him.
At the corner, he hurriedly hid in a pile of rubbish, curling up and holding his breath.
The footsteps of the n drew near, then faded again, and after a mont of silence, the man cautiously peered out and stood up from the rubbish.
A square-jawed face, around fifty years old, the man was none other than Wang Jianguo who had fled the hospital.
Seeing that his pursuers had gone, he took a deep breath, lowered his cap, and prepared to leave.
However, the shadowy figure of a person ahead made him pause, looking up to discover two n in black.
His face instantly changed.
"You..."
Hadn’t the n in black just passed by?
Why were there still so left behind?
The n in black said nothing, rely stepping aside as if making way for their master to arrive.
Wang Jianguo was on edge, following a ray of sunlight to look ahead, just as a man erged from the shadows.
A long body, handso features.
He approached Wang Jianguo, with a smirk on his lips, "Wang Jianguo, Yin Moran’s n are looking for you... you can’t escape."
Wang Jianguo gulped, eyeing the newcor warily, "How do you know? Who are you? What do you want?"
"Who I am doesn’t matter. What matters is that I can help you!"
"Help ? How?"
"Just listen to ."
...
Three days later, everything was ready.
Yin Moran watched as Lin Qian and Candy were wheeled into the operating room, his handso face filled with solemnity.
The two won he cherished most were about to undergo surgery.
His fingers were a little cold, his heart inexplicably twisted.
A pat on his shoulder made Yin Moran frown and turn to look at the newcor.
Nangong Li, seeing Yin Moran’s unsettled expression, unconsciously withdrew his hand from his shoulder, trying to reassure him, "Old Yin, don’t be nervous, they’ll be fine."
It was rare to see his old friend, always composed even if the sky were falling, so agitated.
He genuinely seed to be worried!
"Yes, my grandson, don’t be too anxious. Lin Qian and the little one will surely leave the hospital safe and sound."
Old Madam Yin was helped over by Yin Qinglan, also offering words of comfort to him.
Yin Moran nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over everyone present. Without saying a word, he just kept watching the red indicator light, silently praying in his heart.
Four hours later, the indicator light finally turned off.
A doctor erged from the room.
Yin Moran’s spirit lifted, and he strode forward.
"Doctor, are they..."
"Rest assured, the surgery was very successful."
The surgery was a success!
The stone that had been weighing on Yin Moran’s heart finally dropped.
