The Yin Family’s old mansion was as brightly lit as daylight in the grand hall.

On the sofa, Mr. Yin sat stern-faced, his little mustache twitching with anger.

Seated beside him was Old Madam Yin, cradling Candy, who was pouting her little mouth.

The atmosphere was sowhat stagnant.

The butler, along with the servants, all stood in the corner with bated breath, heads lowered, daring not to look around.

Yin Moran finished seeing off the family doctor, pinched his tired brow, and strode into the room.

Unbuttoning the top button of his collar, he sat down on the sofa. His aura was still as cold as frost.

A servant poured him a glass of water, and he extended his slender hand to take the glass and elegantly took a sip.

The room was dead silent, the air heavy with tension.

Candy broke the silence.

Sliding down from Old Madam Yin’s lap, she toddled over to Yin Moran and called out sweetly, "Daddy."

Yin Moran looked at his daughter, carved from pink jade, and watched the concern flit across her big, dark eyes as he silently curved the corners of his mouth.

With a slender hand, he touched her soft hair and scooped her into his arms.

The little one must have been scared by tonight’s dinner party too.

At this mont, she must be worried about Lin Qian.

"Ahem, is your mother asleep?" Mr. Yin was the first to break the silence.

"Mmm, the doctor gave her a sedative. She’s asleep now, and my aunt is with her in the room,"

Yin Moran replied indifferently, as he slled the milky fragrance of his daughter.

"With things having co to this, don’t you think you owe everyone an explanation?"

Mr. Yin couldn’t contain himself and glared at Yin Moran, demanding an answer.

"Grandfather, what explanation do you want?"

Yin Moran looked back at Mr. Yin calmly, "I’ve said all that needed to be said at the banquet."

Said all that?

What had he said?

From beginning to end, he had defended Lin Qian unconditionally!

He even smashed a billion to sever the father-daughter relationship between Lin Qian and her biological father!

People outside are saying that Yin Moran has money to burn!

Mr. Yin’s chest heaved, "Boy, I don’t know what kind of person Lin Qian really is, but just because of her, such a commotion was stirred up at tonight’s banquet. I don’t approve of you continuing to associate with her. Fortunately, your relationship isn’t official yet, and your feelings for each other aren’t deep. You’d best break it off with her quickly."

With that, a throw pillow was hurled his way.

Mr. Yin frowned, smoothing down his disheveled hair, and glared at Old Madam Yin beside him.

Old Madam Yin t his gaze defiantly, "Old man, what are you rambling about? Can you bla Qianqian for what happened at the banquet? Wasn’t it all soone deliberately causing trouble?"

"Ju Fen, regardless of whether soone was stirring up trouble or not, it’s a fact that Lin Qian’s reputation has been ruined."

This ti, Mr. Yin was adamant about his view, his gaze sweeping toward Yin Moran, "You should know that the elders in our family value reputation above all else. They witnessed the whole fiasco and now have a negative impression of Lin Qian. Of course, that’s not the most important thing. The most important thing is your attitude, Moran."

"The guests today were all people of high status, how could you offend so many powerful figures publicly in the hall over Lin Qian? Do you realize how your actions today showed a disregard for the bigger picture, how sentintal you were? Your uncles and older relatives are already looking for your mistakes, and now, you’ve handed them the perfect lever."

Lin Qian’s identity was inherently sensitive, and had those photos not surfaced, he might have turned a blind eye and let his grandson handle the situation.

But now, the situation was too detrintal for his eldest grandson.

The business arena is a battlefield, and it’s not easy to be a powerful family’s head.

The greatest taboo is not understanding the overall situation, getting lost in romantic affairs.

Obviously, Yin Moran’s behavior at the banquet was not what a capable helmsman should present to the public.

Such actions would disappoint those who supported him, yet give those opponents eager to find fault sothing to seize upon.

So, at this ti, he naturally opposed his grandson’s relationship with Lin Qian.

Hearing Mr. Yin’s words, Yin Moran’s dark eyes flickered with gloom. Before he could speak, Little Candy in his arms chid in.

"Great Grandpa, don’t be angry. Those people targeted Mommy, whispering behind her back and pointing fingers at her. Daddy is an upright man, shouldn’t he protect Mommy? Just like if Great Grandma were bullied, Great Grandpa would surely stand up for her too, right?"

"That’s right, old man, you’re getting on in years and yet you’re not as sensible as our Little Candy."

Old Madam Yin chid in, tossing Mr. Yin a health ball.

Mr. Yin choked, speechless at the old and the young, unable to find his words.

Was it the sa?

Did they even grasp the focus of his argunt?

Won just are won, unable to discuss business affairs.

Old Madam Yin didn’t care about the blustering old man. She had been eager to ask a question.

"Moran, Grandma won’t ddle in the banquet incident, because I know you’re capable of handling it. But I have to ask, did you really not know Lin Qian before? Have you never slept with her? Her son looks a lot like you did at his age!"

She had watched her grandson grow up from infancy and the more she looked, the more Lin Qian’s son resembled her eldest grandson.

Rumors had said that Lin Qian climbed into an old man’s bed four years ago. Could it be possible that this old man was not so elderly figure, but her own eldest grandson?

After all, rumors are just rumors.

Hearing Old Madam Yin’s question, Yin Moran’s dark pupils stirred, and sothing flashed across his face, "Grandma, you think Zirui looks like too?"

"Yes, truly. Moran, could he possibly be your biological son? If he is, that would resolve many unnecessary troubles!"

If that Lin Zirui truly was a descendant of the Yin Family, even if Lin Qian’s reputation were tarnished, being honored through her son, she could silence the murmuring within the clan.

"However, Zirui took hair from myself and Mommy to do a test. The report showed that Mommy and I are not mother and daughter."

Candy pouted with her small mouth, her pale little fingers poking each other, her face wan.

Her eyes clearly resembled Mommy’s, so why wasn’t she her biological daughter?

Just the thought made her unhappy.

"What? You actually..."

Old Madam Yin was stunned, a flicker of surprise crossing her old eyes.

Yin Moran’s thin lips curved slightly, "Grandpa, Grandma, four years ago, Lin Qian was forced onto another’s bed by her father, Lin Hai, and gave birth to triplets. But Lin Hai sold two of the children. Candy and Zirui always thought they looked alike, so they secretly did a DNA test. However..."

"What? There’s such a thing? That Lin Hai is truly despicable. It’s indeed necessary for Lin Qian to sever her relationship with him."

Old Madam Yin listened to Yin Moran’s explanation with a look of disbelief.

Mr. Yin, too, frowned deeply, sneering at Lin Hai’s actions.

No wonder his grandson had made such a big move, spending a billion to annul the father-daughter relationship between Lin Qian and Lin Hai.

Such a man truly didn’t deserve to be a father to children.
