"Aha! Lin is right, Mr. Su, you can’t just let us all worry, after all, you have a sick body, and you can’t be willful."
Nangong Li joined in with a laugh. It didn’t sound like a big deal, but to Su Yu’an, it was inexplicably irritating.
To blurt out his illness in such a careless manner, it was as if he was reminding him that he couldn’t compare with Yin Moran, that he couldn’t provide Lin Qian with a sense of security.
His fingers unconsciously curled, Su Yu’an slightly furrowed his brow, his complexion a bit unsightly.
Beside him, Fang Tong had a heart as clear as crystal and instantly picked up on the undertones in Nangong Li’s words. She quickly grabbed the teapot and poured Su Yu’an a cup of water, her sexy red lips curling.
"Mr. Su is the kindest person I’ve ever t, as gentle as jade. How could he bear to worry everyone?"
While she spoke, she handed the cup of water to Su Yu’an, her moist eyes filled with sympathy, "Mr. Su, you’re just too well-mannered. Why bother replying with alcohol when others toast to you? We’re all acquaintances here, upright and honest gentlen; nobody would mind these minor details, right?"
Her words praised Su Yu’an, but sohow also implied a hidden insult.
Are we all bright and honest people?
Is there an underlying ssage that soone here is not a gentleman?
Nangong Li’s eyebrows raised, a flicker of interest passing through his eyes as he stared at Fang Tong.
He caught on – this woman was implying he was the ungentlemanly one.
Interesting!
Su Yu’an looked at Fang Tong with a trace of gratitude in his eyes.
He smiled and gave her a nod of acknowledgnt as he picked up his cup and looked towards Yin Moran, "Cousin, then I shall drink tea in place of wine if you don’t mind."
"I don’t mind."
Yin Moran’s deanor remained icy as he downed the wine in his glass at once.
The movent of his head slightly tilting back brought a slight chill in the air, and the man’s Adam’s apple rolling under the light looked extraordinarily attractive.
Lin Qian hesitated for a mont after watching Yin Moran finish his drink with a cold expression, but she continued to refill his glass.
Yin Moran didn’t look at her, his gaze fixed on his glass as he leaned back, stretching out his long arms over the sofa, his face expressionless yet cold.
The atmosphere grew tenser; it was clear to anyone the big Buddha was in a bad mood.
Nangong Li’s eyes narrowed slightly as he scanned the group, "Sitting around is a bit dull, why don’t we play sothing else? Maybe a ga, like ’Truth or Dare’ or sothing?"
"Tsk, such a cliché."
Fang Tong cast a glance at Nangong Li, objecting.
Nangong Li raised an eyebrow slightly, "Miss, what would you like to play?"
It seed this beauty had a bone to pick with him!
Was she standing up for Su Yu’an?
"What kind of entertainnt do you have here?"
"Here we have all sorts of entertainnt; whatever you want to play, you can play," Nangong Li said with pride.
"Ah, I see! I’ve heard that Mr. Li’s entertainnt mostly includes lowbrow attractions that are sure to catch everyone’s eye!"
Fang Tong nodded repeatedly, "However, our Mr. Su is a person of elegance, so those kinds of gas aren’t for him."
Nangong Li: "..."
Everyone else: "..."
Nobody was a fool; they all realised Fang Tong was sticking up for Su Yu’an!
Lin Qian’s gaze swept over Su Yu’an and Fang Tong, a curve appearing at the corner of her mouth.
If Su Yu’an could really end up with Fang Tong, that would put her mind at ease.
She wanted the people she liked to find happiness.
Beside her, Yin Moran’s gaze had been fixed on Lin Qian the entire ti. Seeing her bright almond eyes intently staring at the person across from her, he felt an indescribable tightness in his chest that he couldn’t dispel.
He didn’t like the way she looked at Su Yu’an.
Nor did he like her walking so close to him.
His heart was filled with discomfort!
He wanted to take her away imdiately, so that she only had eyes for him.
"Mr. Su, your studio opens tomorrow. I wonder if we could be privileged enough to witness your elegance and hear you play a piece for all of us?"
Fang Tong was still competing with Nangong Li, deliberately praising Su Yu’an.
After all, although the refined Su Yu’an might not be adept at other activities, piano playing was well within his grasp.
Su Yu’an’s gaze t the girl’s moist eyes, filled with a hint of admiring expectation, which ward his heart.
He glanced across at Lin Qian and t another pair of moist eyes.
A surge of pride welled up inside him, and Su Yu’an gave Nangong Li a nod, "Sure, Mr. Li, may I borrow your venue later?"
The piano was part of their shared mories.
He hoped it would bring back the past for her.
"Of course, of course!"
Could he say no?
Could he stoop to quarreling with a girl?
Nangong Li gave Fang Tong a deep look, took out his phone, and made a call with instructions.
After the call, they got up. Su Yu’an looked toward Lin Qian with a tender smile, then turned and strode out.
That affectionate look filled the sitting Yin Moran with an even colder aura.
His gaze swept over Lin Qian who was eagerly standing up to leave his side. Yin Moran’s expression was icy cold, and the atmosphere around him was so chilling that no one wanted to approach.
"Cough, Old Yin, you’ve got to put in so effort, can’t let Su Yu’an steal the show! He’s the epito of elegance; are you just vulgar in comparison?"
Nangong Li remarked to soone shrouded in a cold aura, referring to the three won walking ahead like a dazzling scene.
Yin Moran’s deep, waveless eyes curled into a sneer, "Effort? Ridiculous, why should I vie for attention over a woman? Let her do as she likes!"
Nangong Li: "..."
Such tsundere behavior, don’t deny your true feelings!
The jealousy you’re emitting could suffocate a cow!
"Fine, fine, you’re high and mighty, you don’t need to please won, they’ll throw themselves at you! Then just sit here and drink, while I go see how your cousin flaunts his elegance and how this piano prince will charm Lin!"
Nangong Li deliberately provoked the tsundere man as he got up and walked briskly towards the door.
On the sofa, Yin Moran’s dark eyes churned with turbulent waves.
He picked up a wine glass from the table and emptied it in one gulp.
He slamd the glass back onto the table and stood up, his long legs encased in black suit pants took large strides out the door.
Play the elegant sort?
Wasn’t he once a Literary Youth as well?
On the first-floor stage, the passionate music stopped, and the dazzling lights dimd.
Then, a soft yellow spotlight shone on a corner of the stage, illuminating the man seated at the piano.
Dressed in a fitting suit, he looked as graceful as jade and as modest as a gentleman.
The lodious sound of music began as his hands touched the keys, his nimble fingers starting to play.
The piano music flowed like clouds across the sky, mingling with the man’s gentle and pleasant voice, resonating throughout the venue.
The guests fell silent, listening in stillness to this rare piano accompanint, murmuring their admiration.
