When did Su Ronggui and Su Rongxing get behind them? How much of her conversation with Hao Ren had they overheard? Hao Ren had really ssed things up for her!
Hao Ren scratched his nose, not expecting them to appear suddenly. He was sure it was just him and Tu Hengsha a mont ago. "Hehe, what a coincidence!"
Nobody reacted...
Su Ronggui remained expressionless, while Su Rongxing looked at Tu Hengsha with a vague smile.
"Um... Haha... I have sothing to do, so I’ll leave... you guys chat..." Hao Ren stirred up the trouble but quickly vanished, leaving Tu Hengsha behind to face the simring gaze of the siblings.
Tu Hengsha ntally skinned Hao Ren a thousand tis over, unable even to muster a foolish grin, laly explaining, "Um... It’s a misunderstanding... actually it was Hao Ren who..."
Before she could finish, the two big words "Do not believe" were plainly written on Su Ronggui and Su Rongxing’s faces.
She pouted, "Whatever, believe it or not, but I didn’t an it that way!" In a place where explaining was just covering up, she could only comfort herself with the saying, "A clear conscience fears no accusation."
After self-soothing, she quickly fled the scene, albeit awkwardly, but turned with her head held high, despite Su Rongxing’s indifferent comnt behind her, "Took dumplings to my brother after going out for an interview with him once! Wants to marry into my family after interviewing my dad once! The world’s full of shaless people, but she’s a first..."
She walked quickly, only hearing the first part of Su Rongxing’s sentence, but that was enough to make her feel utterly embarrassed. Could she bla anyone else? Wasn’t it all because of the trouble caused by Hao Ren, who always did the wrong things!
Su Rongxing, while speaking, quietly observed Su Ronggui. Seeing him remain with a flat expression, she felt relieved, deciding it was just a small photographer’s wishful thinking. She laughed satirically, "Su Ronggui, I think you should reciprocate and give the little photographer a return gift."
Su Ronggui, understanding her aning, felt no inclination to respond and pretended not to hear.
"You should give her a mirror! Let her take a good look at herself!" Su Rongxing took a small makeup mirror from her bag, looked at herself, and touched up her lipstick.
"Alright, let’s go. We’re going to be late!" Su Ronggui, unchanged in expression, headed towards the editorial platform.
Tu Hengsha and Hao Ren had been out gathering news all day, and she spent the entire day grumbling at Hao Ren. Aware of his mistake, Hao Ren worked diligently, even helping her carry equipnt on the way back, but none of that could quell Tu Hengsha’s anger.
"What can we do about it then?" Hao Ren asked cheekily, "How about issuing a statent saying I was just talking nonsense that day?" He finished and quickly clasped his hands in a plea for rcy before Tu Hengsha could explode.
"Hao Ren, that joke is not funny at all!" She couldn’t express her inner annoyance to anyone. She had approached Xiao Xu with gratitude in her heart, yet things went contrary to her wishes. Now people misinterpret her intentions toward Xiao Xu. Will people see her as a disaster waiting to happen in the future?
The two awkwardly returned to the press office.
At the entrance to the editorial platform open floor, Tu Hengsha almost lost her courage to go in, hesitating for a long ti, telling herself internally, "Are you going to never go in?"
Finally, she braced herself to enter, not daring to look around, and went straight to her desk, plopping down into her seat. Instantly, a cool dampness seeped through her pants...
Her first reaction was to check her nstruation schedule, but she quickly realized sothing was off, imdiately standing up and reaching out to touch. Her hand ca away red!! Looking at the chair, there was a thin layer of sothing that looked like tomato sauce sared on it. She had been so distracted and rushed when entering that she hadn’t noticed it!
