Tu Hengsha’s eyes darted as he pointed to the tree above, shouting, "Watch out for the water!" After saying this, he kicked the tree hard and took off running.
He instinctively ducked, covering his head with his hands, but he saw her turn back towards him from a distance, making a funny face and shouting, "Who’s the real fool?"
He was stunned in place, with the sun having baked everything all day, how could there be water droplets left on the tree?

From an unknown spot in the grass, the sound of crickets reached him, and he beca entranced.
Tu Hengsha jogged back to the clinic, surprised to see a female college student drinking porridge, "Where did you get hot water?"

"It was your friend who just brought it over, both the water and the porridge. They all had so, and this is yours." The girl pointed to the remaining bowl of porridge.

She lifted her porridge and ran out to the corridor, looking down to see him still standing under the tree on the playground.
"Hey! Xiao Xu!" she shouted.
He looked up from beneath the tree, watching her from afar, but sohow she felt like she clearly saw the light in his eyes, akin to the moonlight at that mont.
"What are you waiting for? Waiting for water droplets?" She recalled how he had dodged the droplets earlier, finding it rather cute, a rare sight of him being silly.
He continued to silently watch her, not saying a word.
What did this an? She pondered for a while, pointing to the playground, "Want to co down?"
Unexpectedly, he nodded.
She was slightly surprised, but she took a sip of porridge, the warm and mushy feeling spreading from her tongue down to her stomach, extrely comfortable, then raised the bowl, "But I don’t want to go down!"
He stood there, sowhat bewildered.
Tu Hengsha suddenly felt a satisfying sense of revenge, holding her bowl, looking at him, drinking in big gulps, occasionally raising the bowl towards him. Even Tu Hengsha herself felt that her current expression perfectly fit the phrase "a petty person who got their way."
During their standoff, his phone vibrated, and he glanced at the caller ID before answering. A soft girl’s voice ca from the other end, "I finally got through! It wasn’t easy!"
"My phone died earlier; I charged it in the car later." He turned away.
"I was worried you had no signal there! How are you now?"
"All good." He gazed at the crescent moon and said softly.
"That’s good! When can you co back? It’s really scary! I heard soone sacrificed themselves!" The girl’s voice turned coquettishly gentle.
"I still can’t make it back. The rain’s stopped, and the water level’s slowly receding, nothing dangerous, but the road out of town is still flooded, can’t get through."
"Co back soon! I have a surprise for you!"
"Yeah, I’ll be back once I finish my work."
