Tu Hengsha ran around reporting news all day, and by the ti she finished, it was already evening. She then rushed to submit her article, working overti with Hao Ren for several hours. When she left the newspaper office, yawning, it was almost midnight.

Su Ronggui’s car was parked conspicuously in the newspaper office’s parking lot at this late hour, its headlights flickering, clearly indicating soone was inside.

Could it be that Su Rongyu was in there playing gas as if the world outside didn’t matter?

She waved goodbye to Hao Ren and walked closer to see, only to find that the person inside was not Su Rongyu but Mr. Su himself, naturally not gaming but instead sleeping like a log...

She knocked on the window, and the person inside woke up groggily.

"What on earth are you doing here? Exhausted like this! Why didn’t you go upstairs to wait?" she asked him after getting in the car.

He beca a bit more awake, "It’s nothing, I haven’t been here long."

"Honestly, you didn’t have to co to pick up! And you certainly didn’t need to trouble Su Rongyu! I can make it ho by myself!" Coming to pick her up despite being so tired, was he deliberately trying to make her feel guilty? Besides, that matter was already over; she didn’t believe anyone would dare to ss with her again.

"I promised to take you ho tonight!" He massaged his temples, feeling fully awake now, and then started the car.

"..." Only then did she rember that he did agree to accompany her ho to face the scolding, but it seed he still wasn’t planning on telling her what he’d been busy with these past days.

She was also quite tired herself, yawned, and didn’t ask much.

She originally didn’t want him to go ho with her, but he insisted on escorting her upstairs. Once inside, as expected, Shu Hui was glaring at them intently like a tiger ready to pounce.

Tu Hengsha panicked imdiately and called out, "Mom."

"Where were you last night?" Shu Hui’s gaze seed sharp enough to bore holes through the pair, especially towards Su Ronggui, as if saying: Do you dare to co to my doorstep?

"At my house." "Working overti!"

Both spoke in unison, but their answers were vastly different.

Shu Hui looked at them like they were mischievous students, with an air of seeing through their lies imdiately.

Tu Hengsha closed her eyes with a look of hopelessness. You’d think Mr. Su, usually so clever, would have a mutual understanding with her at a ti like this. Why was he being so honest?

"Tu Hengsha, you say it!"

The tone was just like when reprimanding a mischievous student! Tu Hengsha was used to it and could only answer quietly, "At... his... house... working overti..." It was sort of overti, wasn’t it? She’d spent the whole night writing calligraphy...

Shu Hui wasn’t buying her story and only asked, "Do you rember the usual rule?"

"..." Tu Hengsha looked distressed. Not again! Wasn’t she already too old for the usual rule? "I rember..."

"Then go." Shu Hui turned to Su Ronggui, not looking too pleased, "Sa for you."

"What’s the usual rule?" Su Ronggui whispered to Tu Hengsha.

Tu Hengsha sulked, "Write a reflection! Two thousand words!" Mr. Su, really! If he hadn’t insisted on escorting her upstairs, he would have been the only one punished, and she could have passed off these two thousand words for him to write. But now, could she bear to make him suffer through writing four thousand words?

Su Ronggui was still bewildered. Throughout his life, he was excellent and hassle-free, and had never written a reflection!

Shu Hui began to give an eviction notice. Ever since the last ti she caught him in Tu Hengsha’s room engaging in "inappropriate behavior," she hadn’t given him a good face. "Go back! Don’t co to the house without a completed reflection!"

As soon as Su Ronggui tried to gather himself, Shu Hui stood up and moved the chair.

Recalling the previous scenario vividly, Tu Hengsha scread, "Run!" and pushed Su Ronggui out while blocking the door herself, protecting him like a mother hen.

Shu Hui didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but she forced herself to keep a straight face and slapped Tu Hengsha on the shoulder, "If I wanted to hit him, can you stop ?"

Tu Hengsha straightened up, very stubborn, "With here, how can I let you hit him?"

Shu Hui was so angry that she slamd the door, almost hitting the person outside, "How could I have given birth to such a shaless daughter! Were the values I taught you eaten by dogs?"

Tu Hengsha anxiously shouted, "Are you alright? Did the door hit your face?"

"No, it didn’t! How about you?" ca the reply from outside.

"I’m fine! You go now!" she sighed in relief and complained to Shu Hui, "Mom! If you hit him, don’t hit the face! That face is to be seen by others! And it’s so handso too! If you injure it, how is he supposed to make a living?"

Shu Hui blew up further, "Really, you’re way too shallow! I’ve told you countless tis, you can’t only see the face when assessing a person! Do you support him just because he’s good-looking? A daughter as disappointing as you really drives mad..."

Not to ntion the harsh scolding from Shu Hui, after which Tu Hengsha went back to her room and started pondering her reflection. This wasn’t much of a challenge for her, but she was concerned about Mr. Su, so she made a call to ask what he was doing. It turned out he was sitting in the car on Baidu, searching how to write a reflection, as he’d never written one in his whole life...

Well, she had forgotten that Mr. Su was an exemplary student since childhood...

Then, she decided to take full responsibility and cover Mr. Su’s 2000-word part as well!

Originally, Su Ronggui felt sowhat guilty because text work was supposed to be his responsibility.

"Oh, co on!" Tu Hengsha imdiately exclaid, "You’re a top reporter, wouldn’t it be a waste to write a reflection? I’m too experienced with this stuff, and I have a drawer full of drafts. I’ll just piece a few sections together, and it’ll be done!"

What Tu Hengsha didn’t realize was that even the closest people should have a little secret between them. By exposing everything, it was like digging a hole for herself, leading to even larger pitfalls awaiting her in her future life.

For the next few days, she was busy, even taking a long trip with Hao Ren. When she returned, it had suddenly turned cold, and by the ti she arrived back at the station in the evening, standing in the wind made her shiver.

Upon exiting, Hao Ren offered his jacket to her, which she adamantly refused. Why should she be the exception to the cold because she’s a girl? Just then, a cheerful voice called out, "Second sister-in-law!"

Su Rongyu’s beaming face appeared in front of her, holding a down jacket, "Second brother knew you’d be cold, so he asked to bring it for you!"

"Alright, the warm brand! I’ll leave now then! Bye-bye!" Hao Ren wisely waved goodbye to her.

Su Rongyu cheerfully draped the jacket over her, urging, "Let’s go, let’s go, we’ve got good food at ho, just waiting for you!"

Tu Hengsha smiled, "Where’s your second brother?" If he was at ho, why was it him coming to fetch her?

"He must be busy, I don’t know. I just follow orders and complete my tasks! Hehe." Su Rongyu chatted with her all the way ho, even inquiring, "Second sister-in-law, why haven’t you been hanging out with Fan Yue? Next ti we have a al at ho, we should invite Fan Yue to join!"

Tu Hengsha paused, "Everyone... is busy, I guess."

Su Rongyu nodded in agreent, "True."

Su Rongyu drove her to the small courtyard. After getting out of the car, he led, and she followed, both entering the yard together.

As he took one step in, he suddenly yelped, turned around, and covered Tu Hengsha’s eyes, "Go, go, go! Second sister-in-law, let’s go eat out..."

"..." What kind of stunt was he pulling? She forcefully removed his hand and looked inside, only to see amidst the windy yard, Su Ronggui had two people in his arms—a big one and a little one, Chen Qi and her son...
