She shook her head, clearly tasting the beer in her breath.

"Let’s go star-gazing!" She turned back with a tipsy smile, "Hao Ren, thank you, it’s the first ti soone has watched the stars with ."

She was smiling, but the corners of her eyes felt sore. Was she smiling too hard?

Hao Ren also smiled, watching as a small brick almost tripped her, "Careful!" he reached out to steady her.

But his wrist was seized by soone, with considerable force. He looked up at the person, who was already fuming.

At the sa ti, Tu Hengsha unsurprisingly stepped on the brick. Already unsteady on her feet, she fell back but didn’t hit the ground. Instead, she leaned against a firm wall of flesh, instantly finding her balance.

The two n’s hands briefly clashed in the air before separating, and Tu Hengsha felt a sudden tightness around her waist as she was held by an arm.

"Did you fall?" soone asked her.

Feeling dizzy, she unclasped the hand from her waist, "Hao Ren, I’m heading ho now. Good night."

"Alright, don’t forget to set your alarm for tomorrow’s trip," Hao Ren smiled.

"I got it!" she waved and walked into the school alone.

The two n stood at the school gate in the dark, confronting each other in silence, like firecrackers waiting to be lit, ready to explode with a single spark.

Suddenly, Hao Ren chuckled, "Off with Little Sha tomorrow morning, high-speed train at nine-thirty. Want to co see us off?"

Su Ronggui kept a stern face, unable to muster a smile. His gaze was so sharp it seed like it could pierce Hao Ren. "You took her drinking? She has a history of asthma! You took her drinking?!"

"..." Hao Ren was montarily stunned.

Su Ronggui, with his face livid, looked down and typed a long string of words on his phone before sending it.

Hao Ren’s phone buzzed.

"Stars and the moon, visible but untouchable! A person must live practically and well!" Su Ronggui threw down a line and left with a gloomy face.

Hao Ren stood there and took out his phone, finding a string of unfamiliar terms in a ssage from Su Ronggui.

He hurried into the school, and ahead, Tu Hengsha hadn’t gone far, her slight figure swaying a bit under the dim streetlight.

"Little Sha!" he shouted.

Tu Hengsha turned around.

"Are you okay?"

She smiled and waved, "I’m fine! You should head back! I’m almost ho!"

Her ho wasn’t far, just in the family quarters. Hao Ren watched her until she entered the building, estimating that she’d already gone inside, and then he called her.

On the other end, Tu Hengsha laughed lightly, "I’m ho already!"

"That’s good." He breathed a sigh of relief.

"You should head ho, good night! We have to get up early tomorrow!"

"Alright, good night!" He stood in place for a while before finally turning to leave.

In the early morning, Shu Hui fussed as she packed, "Off on a work trip again! Can’t you tell your boss not to send you anymore? How can anyone be at ease with your health?"

"I’m fine! There’s no danger this ti... it’s just a eting!" Tu Hengsha hurriedly ate her breakfast, choking on the "Aunt Shu" boiled egg and suddenly recalled a few conversations, "Don’t you eat egg yolks at ho either?"

"No! My mom doesn’t indulge my bad habits!"

"Shouldn’t indulge your bad habits!"

"Sister Qian, don’t boil the eggs in plain water tomorrow, make stead fluffy eggs!"

She paused, picked up the cup, took a few big gulps of water to swallow down the egg yolk and those conversations from her mind.

Shu Hui handed her a bag of items, "Saying it’s not dangerous, who knows what special situation you might encounter? Be sure to be careful, don’t go where you shouldn’t, avoid what you shouldn’t eat, and don’t forget to take all these dicines this ti!"

"Okay! Mom, don’t worry! I’ll take care of myself!" she promised sincerely, putting the dicine into her backpack.

"How can I not worry!" Shu Hui’s face was full of concern.

Tu Hengsha smiled, "Mom, you take care of yourself too. It’s autumn now, chillier in the mornings and evenings, don’t catch a cold, don’t work too hard, take it easy where you can!"

"What are you saying? As a teacher, how can I take it easy? How would that do justice to my conscience? To the trust parents place when they leave their children with ? How can you, as a journalist, promote such lax working attitudes?" Shu Hui was about to start her lecture.

Tu Hengsha stuck out her tongue, "Mom, I just feel bad for you! You’re starting classes again! Alright, alright, I’m rushing out, I’m leaving! You just stay ho and take it easy!"

Shu Hui finally smiled, "You take it easy yourself!"

"Mm-hmm! Bye, Mom, I’ll be back soon to spend Mid-Autumn Festival with you!" She hugged Shu Hui and gave her a forceful kiss on the cheek.

Shu Hui felt amused and helpless by the kiss, "Go on, don’t be late."

With a nine-thirty train, Tu Hengsha had to go to the press office first to pick up the equipnt.

Arriving at the press office early, there were only a few voices on the editorial platform, probably only a few people had arrived.

As she approached, she could hear the discussions inside more clearly.

"What’s the fuss between Su Rongxing and Tu Hengsha about yesterday’s Su Ronggui dispute? Is there so gossip among these three?"

"Of course there is! Hasn’t Su Rongxing always been Su Ronggui’s treasure? Suddenly, Tu Hengsha cos in to steal the love, and what man doesn’t like a bit of novelty!"

"Exactly! I bet there’s definitely sothing fishy between Su Ronggui and Tu Hengsha!"

"Didn’t see that coming, Su Ronggui always cos off as a serious guy, and he’s playing tricks like this?"

"Serious? Who told you that serious n don’t fool around? This is called seriously fooling around."

"What are you talking about? Why didn’t I see them fight? Who won?"

"You left early yesterday! Of course, Su Rongxing won! When Su Rongxing told Su Ronggui to stay, he didn’t move! Didn’t you see how heartbroken Tu Hengsha looked when she left!"

"If it were , I’d choose Su Rongxing too! Although he has a temper, he’s never gotten angry at Su Ronggui! Spoiled her! And his family background is good! Su Ronggui is just a stepson of the Su family, already a bit awkward, but marrying into the Su family would make him a legitimate mber! What does Tu Hengsha have to compete with?"

She stood at the door, unable to summon the courage to step in. Did she really look upset yesterday? She couldn’t rember, and if she did, that would be too embarrassing...

"Why aren’t you going in? If you don’t grab the equipnt, you won’t make it!" a voice beside her chid in.

It was Chen Qi.

The chatter inside abruptly stopped.

"Oh." She steadied her breath, walked in nonchalantly, pretending she hadn’t heard anything.

The few who had been gossiping were dumbstruck, hurriedly lowering their heads to mind their own business.

She kept her gaze straight ahead, only taking the equipnt and carrying it out with large strides.

A place of gossip.

She was still afraid, still shaful, so she walked quickly as if escaping the press office would also an escaping the rumors. Yet, while rushing with her head down, she almost collided with soone when exiting the office building.

The person caught her.
