"Gugu..." Grandma called him softly.

He gently stroked Grandma’s hand, "Grandma, I rember when I was little, you told many stories from the alley. How about I tell you a story today? Are you tired? Do you want to listen?"

Tears welled up in Grandma’s eyes, "You child..."

"Shall I start then?" He was a journalist, had traveled many places over the years, and had seen various customs and cultures. He chose so interesting ones to tell Grandma. When he talked about the walking marriage customs in Yunnan, Grandma laughed happily, "Did you make that up to fool ?"

"Really! Grandma! Take care of your health, and later on, I’ll take you out to see the world!"

"Okay! Okay..." Grandma laughed, but tears fell from her eyes.

He gently wiped them away for her.

The night gradually quieted down. Amid his soft words, Grandma fell asleep with a smile at so unknown ti. He tucked the quilt around Grandma, adjusted the air conditioning, and sat by the bed, taking out his phone.

Eleven o’clock.

His thumb stroked the phone screen, gently rubbing it for quite a while before putting the phone down.

He paced lightly in the hospital room. Outside, the night was deeply dark with faint light. After a few steps, he picked up the phone again. Two minutes past eleven.

He unlocked it, found a contact, and sent a ssage: Are you asleep?

Then he stood by the window, waiting with the phone in hand.

The phone seed to vibrate. He glanced down, just a push notification...

He tossed the phone onto the sofa.

The illuminated screen flashed a ssage.

He stepped over. Soone replied with two words: Asleep.

...

He hesitated for a mont, then also typed two words: Sleep tight.

Tu Hengsha had just gotten into bed. Seeing the reply, she wondered if he had sothing to say, so she replied: Did Mr. Su have sothing to discuss?

Over there, he had put his phone down but saw the ssage again.

Sothing to discuss?

He sat down, leaned on the sofa, stretched out his legs in rare leisure and laziness, and slowly typed one word at a ti: I’m at the hospital. Afraid of oversleeping, wake up in the morning.

Tu Hengsha was slightly startled. Mr. Su’s ability to live on his own is that poor? Can’t even wake himself up? But, on two occasions when accompanying him on assignnts, it didn’t seem so? Besides, there’s an alarm clock!

She hadn’t had ti to reply when another ssage from him arrived: I moved out of the Su family’s house, will live with Grandma from now on.

She was a bit surprised, but happy for Grandma, and quickly agreed.

Ronggui saw the two-word reply: Oh, okay.

??? Oh? Okay?

Tu Hengsha yawned, set her phone alarm, put the phone down, and fell asleep quickly.

She had no worries, slept soundly through the night, and was woken up by the alarm the next day, still groggy, rembered to call Mr. Su.

"Hello?" A low male voice ca from the other end.

"Hmm..." The person was awake, mission accomplished! She hung up the phone and went back to sleep.

"..." Listening to the beeping sound in his ear, Ronggui wondered if soone really called. This waking thod seed a bit too casual?

The second ti she fell asleep, Tu Hengsha was finally woken up by Mom. The house was filled with the aroma of egg pancakes. She sniffed, rembering a question, "Mom, do you think a pampered boy would be able to take care of a patient? Can he take care of himself?"

Shu Hui, quite sensitive, asked, "What kind of boy did you et?"
