Sotis, he even felt that Seraphina Redgrave knew about his family’s financial situation and was purposely giving him money.

Previously, when his father was admitted to the ergency room, he took on so many odd jobs but still couldn’t gather enough money for the treatnt.

Coincidentally, Seraphina said she needed his help, and the money she offered was just enough for his father’s treatnt. And this ti, could the money also be just enough for his father’s recuperation costs?

Ronan Yates felt not only admiration but also gratitude towards Seraphina Redgrave.

He’s now Seraphina’s most loyal follower, the kind who never questions her commands!

Unaware of Ronan’s jumbled thoughts, Seraphina Redgrave picked up her phone and began to call Ethan Sterling.

It wasn’t until the call was about to be automatically disconnected that soone on the other end picked up.

Ethan Sterling’s magnetic voice ca through with a chuckle, "I knew you missed ."

Seraphina Redgrave was speechless.

Wasn’t it you who requested this?

She sighed softly, looking out the window into the distance, "What are you doing?"

"Making a living," he replied.

Ethan Sterling chuckled, "And you? Neglecting your studies just to think of ?"

Tch.

Speechless.

Seraphina Redgrave pinched the bridge of her nose, struggling to find a topic, "I’m not, by the way, my earlier painting got so results. The teachers all thought it was quite good. Would you like to see it?"

"You want to see it?" Ethan Sterling’s smile deepened.

It wasn’t exactly that, but Seraphina really didn’t know what topic to use to continue the conversation with Ethan Sterling.

In the past, the place where they talked the most was the bed in Hibiscus Garden.

"Alright, take a picture and send it over." Ethan Sterling agreed reluctantly, then added, "Don’t hang up the phone."

"Okay."

Seraphina Redgrave put the call on speaker, then switched the phone screen to the hopage and sent her painting over.

There was no sound from the other end of the line for a long ti.

It took so long that Seraphina Redgrave thought Ethan Sterling had hung up, but then his voice ca through, "Why are you working so hard in the Law School when your art is good enough to gain you worldwide fa?"

Ethan Sterling wasn’t joking; he was serious.

Being appreciated always brings happiness, and Seraphina Redgrave smiled faintly, "But I don’t want to rely solely on art to make a living."

"I get it; you want to rely on to make a living," Ethan Sterling remarked.

Holding her phone, Seraphina Redgrave could almost imagine Ethan Sterling’s arrogant deanor.

"Alright then, since you’re so impressive, as your man, I have to do sothing too," Ethan Sterling said.

Seraphina Redgrave heard Ethan Sterling seemingly making a call to Nathan Ayers, saying, "Nathan, push all the plans for tonight. I’m taking Seraphina Redgrave shopping."

"That’s not necessary," Seraphina Redgrave hastily refused.

"You don’t like the shopping malls here?" Ethan Sterling’s thought process was not sothing most people could understand.

"Let’s just go to Apex Plaza," she quickly changed her mind, fearing Ethan Sterling would arrange for her to shop in outer space next.

Seraphina Redgrave only managed to hang up the call after Ethan Sterling’s long-winded chatter.

After entirely hanging up, Seraphina finally caught her breath and checked the ti, realizing that more than an hour had passed, and a whole class session was over.

What was this, a lovebird’s endless phone conversation?

Seraphina Redgrave couldn’t help but shudder.

His train of thought was truly peculiar; by the end of the call, she almost felt like she was hopelessly in love with Ethan Sterling.

Putting down her phone, Seraphina Redgrave looked up and found herself wandering aimlessly while chatting and ended up near the little grove.

Just as she was about to leave, she noticed a slender figure standing not far away, holding a book as if waiting for her.

It was Selena Quinn.

"Were you calling Ethan Sterling?"

Selena Quinn approached her, with a smile that lacked the softness and grandeur of before, instead carrying an oddly artificial air.

Her voice was soft and frail, as if it could dissipate at any mont.

"Are you following , Student Quinn? Do you enjoy eavesdropping on others’ private matters?"

Seraphina Redgrave laughed mockingly.

Knowing Selena had co specifically for her, Seraphina didn’t imdiately turn to leave. Instead, she walked to the edge of the grove and sat on a stone bench, popping a strawberry candy into her mouth.

Selena stood in front of Seraphina without sitting, holding her book tightly, her eyes reddened, staring at Seraphina, "Sylvia, haven’t I treated you well? Why would you do this to ?"

"What did I do?"

Seraphina’s eyes were bright with a clear smile.

"I know you dislike the Elite Society’s rules and those wealthy second-generation heirs, but my intention to befriend you was genuine. I invited you to the Sterling Family’s banquet because I wanted you to join the Elite Society."

Selena choked out her words, "But how could you intentionally provoke everyone with those words and even secretly record and play them back at the Monday eting? How am I supposed to face them now? I’m truly upset."

By now, Selena seed even more distraught, her eyes rimd with redness.

"And then?"

Enjoying the sweet taste on her tongue, Seraphina shrugged indifferently, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back to class."

With that, she got up to leave.

But before taking two steps, Selena started coughing again, her voice filled with sorrow, "Caleb was right, I should never have considered you a friend. You’re not worth it."

Hearing that, Seraphina turned back, looking at Selena, "Who said I wanted to be your friend?"

Was she overthinking?

"So you never considered a friend at all," Selena’s voice sounded even more heartbroken, "I really didn’t expect you to be like this. Serena Lowell only made a small mistake; you could’ve talked to her, or told a teacher, but you purposefully set her up for failure and exposed her in front of the whole school, leaving her no choice but to drop out. Do you know how much effort it takes to get into Sovereign College?"

Seraphina stood there, a sneering smile on her face.

"I treated you so well, even going as far as to ask those Elite Society seniors to help you enter the society, yet you did this to behind my back!"

Selena’s voice grew weaker and weaker.

Listening up to this point, Seraphina promptly crushed the strawberry candy in her mouth and swallowed the shards.

She smiled and walked closer to Selena, eyes filled with deep amusent but also an air of seeing through everything, "Treat well? Yes, if you hadn’t treated well, how would I have had the chance to take down Serena Lowell?"

Hearing this, Selena’s expression changed, "What are you saying?"

Looking at Seraphina’s eyes, Selena instinctively felt a pang of guilt, stepping back a couple of paces and leaning against a tree.

"Who told Serena Lowell I was on the rooftop?"

Seraphina stood in front of Selena, her clear eyes fixed on her, speaking each word distinctly, "I know exactly what you told Serena Lowell after leaving the rooftop."

That’s why she was certain that even if she exposed Serena Lowell, Selena had the ability to make her work disappear.

That’s why she pretended not to know, waiting patiently until now.

Selena leaned against the tree, her eyes trembling slightly, "When did I ever do such a thing? What nonsense are you spouting!"
