Seraphina Redgrave frowned, knowing that Ethan Sterling had misunderstood the previous events.

"Ethan?"

Leo Lynch looked at Ethan Sterling, who suddenly appeared here, with a surprised expression.

"Weren’t you just holding hands?" Ethan reclined against the back of his seat, speaking slowly, "Why let go now?"

"He and I are just classmates attending the sa school."

Seraphina spoke coldly, even hugging the box to create distance between herself and Leo.

"Really?"

Ethan sat in the driver’s seat, licking his molars, leant forward, and looked at Seraphina. "If he were to die under my wheels, would you be sad?"

After saying this, his eyes were filled with bloodlust. The next second, he drove his car straight towards Leo.

Leo was shocked and imdiately ran to the left.

Ethan did not turn the wheel, instead crashing straight into the wall, the car grazing Leo’s clothes.

"Bang!"

Another loud crash, the car was completely wrecked.

In a panic, Leo fell to the ground, shards of broken glass piercing his hand as he propped himself up, his hand covered in blood.

Ethan didn’t look at Leo, who was slumped on the ground, but turned to Seraphina, only to see her standing in place, motionless, not even glancing at Leo.

"Don’t you think it’s a bit late to pretend?"

There was a mocking smile in Ethan’s gaze.

They had already decided to run together, but pretending not to know each other, who was he fooling?

"We weren’t running together, you’re overthinking."

Seraphina spoke without any useless words.

Ethan sat in the driver’s seat, looking into Seraphina’s pure, clean eyes filled with candor, the corners of his lips curved, yet his gaze was icy.

"Seraphina." Ethan’s voice was hoarse, as if sulking with Seraphina, "I’m jealous."

Ethan looked at Seraphina, "You need to make it up to ."

Had Ethan taken the wrong dication again?

Seraphina stood in place, looking at Ethan in the car, as if she could see the chill turning almost tangible.

She thought it over, tossing the box into the back seat of the sports car, then calmly spoke, "Head back to Hibiscus Garden."

Satisfaction flickered in Ethan’s eyes.

Seraphina walked around the back of the car to get into the passenger seat, Leo finally stood up, bloodied and shocked, he opened his mouth, "Seraphina Redgrave?"

Why was she leaving with Ethan?

What was she to Ethan?

Seraphina stood in place, her gaze toward Leo gradually tinted with impatience, "What’s your problem?"

At that mont, she wondered if Leo clashed with her destiny, thinking about finding the master who had once read Mia’s fortune to ask how to change her fate.

Three years ago, she had barely escaped, only to be sent back to the den by a phone call from Leo; this ti, when she had finally eased relations with Ethan, he popped up to cause trouble.

Though he didn’t act unintentionally, if she really died, turned into a furious ghost, she wouldn’t know whether she should bla him.

After hearing these words, Leo looked at Seraphina, completely confused.

What did she an?

Seraphina didn’t want to waste words on Leo, opened the car door, and buckled her seatbelt, "Is this car roadworthy?"

As soon as she asked, Ethan hit the gas, with a drift, the car sped out through the sa hole it had crashed through earlier.

Fast as if it would fly.

Leo stood behind the car, dumbfounded.

In Hibiscus Garden, roses in the garden were blown by the wind into waves.

Hibiscus Garden was eerily quiet, Nathan Ayers and the bodyguards stood waiting for Ethan and Seraphina to return.

A major event seed bound to happen today.

A gray sports car suddenly drove in, dust swirling, no one dared move, gritting their teeth to stay put.

Ethan opened the driver’s door and entered the house.

On the way, Ethan had almost floored the gas pedal, Seraphina clutching the seatbelt tightly to avoid being thrown out. Now she sat in the car, calming the physiological response of nausea, before exiting the vehicle.

Granny Coleman rushed over beside Nathan Ayers, looking at Seraphina, tears about to fall, "Miss, Special Assistant Ayers said you intended to run, I was caught on the way ho, weren’t you going to Sovereign College?"

How was she dragged back by Young Master Sterling?

But seeing Young Master Sterling’s state upon entering, could it be the lady was really caught while escaping?

Seraphina patted Granny Coleman’s shoulder, telling her not to worry, following Ethan into the villa.

The living room had a wheelchair prepared for her by Nanny Lynch earlier.

Before the wheelchair was a complete set of acupuncture tools, a dagger, and a hamr, as if intending to torture her for information.

"Go over there."

Ethan turned to Seraphina, his eyes devoid of emotion.

"Where to?"

Seraphina looked at Ethan.

"In the wheelchair."

Ethan spoke coldly, grabbing Seraphina, not caring for her willingness, directly pressing her into the wheelchair.

He stood still, fingers pressing Seraphina’s shoulder, slowly bowing his head, looking into her eyes, speaking word by word, "Really think my affection for you has no limit, daring to run off with another man, from now on you’ll sit in this wheelchair and never think of running again."

He treated Seraphina so well it was almost anything she desired, yet now she was challenging his authority.

"From now on, you won’t need these legs anymore."

He watched Seraphina, tenderly uttering the most savage words.

Seraphina’s arm was almost crushed by his grip, she endured the pain, staring into Ethan’s icy eyes, "I wasn’t trying to run."

"Heh."

Ethan didn’t listen at all, he sat on the empty coffee table, pulling the wheelchair in front, looked at her and said, "Don’t be afraid, it’ll hurt just a bit but will be over soon."

After saying this, Ethan lowered his head, rolled up Seraphina’s pant leg, as if handling a precious art piece, every movent elegant to the extre until her beautiful legs were exposed.

Ethan gripped Seraphina’s fair calf.

Seraphina looked at the hand resting on her calf, a continuous heat radiating from it. She looked up at Ethan sitting in front of her, his eyes chilling enough to freeze soone.

Ethan wasn’t rely scaring her.

She had broken Mia’s leg before, now her own leg was dood, could it be that the prophecy wasn’t nonsense, and she and Mia truly shared interconnected fates?

Ethan held Seraphina’s calf, then turned to the tools beside, picking up a tal tool of an odd shape, examining it slowly, speaking, "Do you know what this is?"

Seeing Seraphina not answer, Ethan spoke to himself, "This is called bone-breaking pliers."

"Place your calf here, then gradually tighten, rotating the adjacent switch bit by bit, your leg bones won’t bear the pressure, suddenly cracking. Then, turn the lower switch, causing the pliers to tighten around your injury more severely, ultimately your leg bones will completely break, until you can’t stand anymore."
