Chapter 8 A Small Wound Is Not Fatal

It?could be said that it was Lan Xiao’s stupidity that had ruined Wen Muchu’s life. She had no idea about the things that he had experienced or the kind of suffering he had gone through during all those years in his previous life.

As she thought of this, the guilt in her heart made her eyes water. She looked up at Wen Muchu pitifully and said, “Well, can you? If you don’t want to pick up, I can co and pick you up...”

She didn’t expect anything else from him. She just hoped that he would give her a chance to make it up to him.

Wen Muchu turned his head and looked around.

“Lou Yucheng is not here. You don’t have to act anymore...”

A trace of anger flickered in Lan Xiao’s chest and she glared at him.

However, Wen Muchu frowned slightly and subconsciously placed his hand over his stomach.

Lan Xiao’s heart trembled. She rushed forward and held his arm.

“What’s wrong?”

She lowered her eyes and glanced at the part of his stomach that was covered with his hand. To her shock, his slender fingertips were stained with blood. Her heart beat wildly with fear.

“Damn it! I forgot that you were injured. Why didn’t you remind ? If you lose too much blood, you will die unjustly again!”

“Again? What do you an?” Wen Muchu asked, raising his eyebrows.

Lan Xiao realized that she had accidentally let the truth slip out of her mouth, so she laughed awkwardly and said, “Nothing. I’m so worried that I’m blabbering. Anyway... why is your body so hot? Do you have a fever?”

Wen Muchu shook his head and tried to push her away. “I’m fine...”

Lan Xiao glared at him and said angrily, “You have to go to the hospital. What if your wound becos inflad or infected?”

Wen Muchu frowned. Although his wound was bleeding, it didn’t look like he was in pain. He calmly tore a strip of cloth from his shirt and tied it around his waist to stop the bleeding.

Lan Xiao looked at him worriedly and asked, “Is that really enough? I think we should go to the hospital.”

Wen Muchu looked at her with his deep eyes and replied indifferently,

“I’m really fine. A small wound is not fatal. Let’s go. I’ll walk you ho.”

Lan Xiao wanted to beat him up. Even in a situation like this, he was stubborn and wanted to put on a brave face...

Wen Muchu began walking, but after a few steps, he realized that she hadn’t moved at all. He turned back and asked,

“Aren’t you coming? You almost got raped once. Do you want to relive that experience again? Or do you want to leave you here?”

Lan Xiao clenched her fists. Her palms itched.

Since she couldn’t change his mind, she just lowered her head and slowly followed him step by step.

“Thank you so much, Wen Muchu...”

If it weren’t for him, she might have been raped. In her previous life, he had also saved her, but she had sent him to prison.

Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but scold herself in her heart for how cruel she had been to him.

“What happened tonight is not a simple matter. It’s obvious that it was a planned incident, so be careful. Don’t trust Lou Yucheng too much...” Wen Muchu was about to say sothing more, but he stopped himself.

Lan Xiao’s eyes darkened. She nodded obediently and said, “Don’t worry. I know what to do.”

The two of them walked for twenty minutes before they arrived near the house of the Lan family.

After casting a cold glance at her and saying “take care,” Wen Muchu turned around and began walking away.

Watching his arrogant receding back made Lan Xiao grind her teeth. Suddenly, her mind went blank, and she lost all sense of reason. Without thinking, she rushed up and hugged him tightly from behind.

“Wen Muchu, you should take care of yourself too. I was so stupid that I couldn’t tell who was actually good to and who was the real villain. From now on, I won’t be duped again...” she said word by word in a hoarse voice.
