Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Extre Joy Turns to Sorrow_1

Mu Yingchen’s face had already turned icy, as pictures ca one after another on his phone, pricking at his eyes painfully. That woman, dressed like that and getting so close to that guy.

And the way that guy looked at her, anyone with eyes could tell what it ant.

A fury mixed with jealousy was boiling at the bottom of his heart, and he imdiately picked up his phone to call Mu Chuyang.

Mu Chuyang had just stuffed his phone into his pocket, preparing to pick out a swimsuit, when his phone rang.

Upon seeing that it was a call from his older brother, he quickly answered, “Big brother?”

“Hand the phone to Su Wanxia!” The voice on the phone was so cold it made Mu Chuyang’s heart tremble.

He then quickly passed the phone to Su Wanxia, who had just co off the surfboard, “Wanxia, big brother is looking for you.”

Surprised, Su Wanxia raised her eyebrows. What did he want with her now?

She took the phone and imdiately asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Co back right now, imdiately!” Mu Yingchen, filled with jealousy, commanded authoritatively.

“Why?” Su Wanxia didn’t catch the jealousy in his tone and asked confusedly, simply because she had no idea that Mu Yingchen had been steeping in vinegar for a long ti, through and through, a complete sourness emanating from him.

Hearing her ask like that, the anger in Mu Yingchen grew even more, it seed this woman was only focused on fun, with no thought of missing him at all.

“There’s an ergency, tomorrow morning at 10 you’ll be in my office,” he said before hanging up.

“Hello?” Because it was noisy at the beach, Su Wanxia called out a few more tis, not hearing Mu Yingchen speak. Checking her phone, she realized he had already hung up.

“Tomorrow morning at 10,” she muttered to herself. It had just passed 4 in the afternoon, it would take at least an hour to get to the airport from here, then another ten hours to C City, she would get ho at around six or seven in the morning. What was Mu Yingchen up to?

“What about tomorrow morning at 10?” Mu Chuyang curiously looked at Su Wanxia, while ng Can also glanced up at her.

She looked at Mu Chuyang and ng Can helplessly, “Mu Yingchen wants

to go back now, to be at the office by 10 tomorrow morning!”

“Ah!” Mu Chuyang exclaid in shock. No way, he hadn’t even enjoyed his ti at sea yet, and now they had to go back?

ng Can was also surprised, then gave an ambiguous smile, “Well then, let’s pack up and head to the airport.”

Actually, neither he nor Su Wanxia were employees of the Mu Group, so their schedules were flexible, and they didn’t need to follow Mu Yingchen’s instructions. All they had to do was make sure their own work was done well.

But now, Mu Yingchen was obviously targeting Su Wanxia, so he didn’t say much. After all, they had had enough fun, so going back was fine!

“Oh no,” Mu Chuyang sighed dejectedly, knowing that he had to return to his miserable life.

When the three of them had gathered their belongings and reached the airport, it was just past 5, just in ti to catch the 6 o’clock flight.

They arrived at C City airport a little after 6 in the morning. Su Wanxia stretched lazily, looking pitiful as she said to ng Can and Mu Chuyang, “You guys can go ho and rest, I still need to make a trip to the office.”

ng Can and Mu Chuyang both smiled knowingly without saying much, and turned to leave.

The mont he turned, ng Can’s heart gave a sudden pang, then he left without any other sign.

As long as she was happy, it was fine to let his secret feelings sink to the ocean’s depths.

Su Wanxia drove ho where Mrs. Liu had just prepared breakfast. She comnted on the good timing of her return and began to eat with relish.

Seeing her like this, both her father and mother laughed and called her a child who never grew up.

After breakfast, she took a bath, changed clothes, and ticulously dressed herself up. After all, one should always look their best in front of the person they like.

Checking the ti and seeing it was past 8, she frowned. Was it too early to head out now? But she didn’t have anything else to do anyhow.

She hesitated for quite a while, “Forget it, the earlier I go, the sooner it’s over,” she said to herself, then stood up, ready to go downstairs.

The mont she picked up her bag, she glanced at the two large bunches of flowers on the balcony unintentionally.

One pink, one blue.

The pink one was delivered sent by Jesse first thing on her birthday, 999 of them.

She couldn’t help but sigh, then her gaze fell on the single red rose among the large swath of blue flowers, staring for a while before turning to leave.

It was only 9:10 when she arrived at Mu Group. She originally planned to go to her own office first, but then she thought it would be a hassle, and if Mu Yingchen said there was sothing important, then arriving a little early wouldn’t be a problem, right? It’s not like she was late, after all.

With that thought, she paused her steps towards the public elevator, as her usual elevator didn’t seem to go to the top floor.

Then, she walked towards the private elevator. The private elevators were divided into two areas, one was exclusively for Mu Yingchen’s use, although it seed like Mu Feng and his people also used this one.

The other was for the secretaries of the top executives or leaders from other departnts of the company.

Just as Su Wanxia reached the private elevator area, the security guard greeted her enthusiastically and politely, “Miss Su, you are going to the president’s office, right?”

“Er, hehe, yes,” she didn’t understand why the security guard knew her last na Su and was being so enthusiastic.

“I’ll open the elevator for you,” he said and pressed the button for Mu Yingchen’s private elevator.

“That…” She wanted to say it wasn’t necessary, that she could use the other one.

Ding-dong—the elevator door was already open.

“Miss Su, please,” the security guard was extrely polite and respectful.

Su Wanxia suddenly had the illusion that there might be sothing wrong with his head, then she stepped into the elevator, puzzled.

In the instant before the elevator doors closed, “Miss Su, goodbye.”

Su Wanxia was instantly flustered. What was wrong with this person?

When she arrived at the president’s office area—

“Good morning, Miss Su!”

All the secretaries, including Secretary Aisha, stood up and greeted her with smiles on their faces.

But their smiles were a bit odd, making her skin crawl, and their gazes were a bit too… sothing.

She forced a laugh, “Hehe, good morning.”

“Miss Su, you’re here to see President Mu, aren’t you?” Aisha asked warmly.

“Yes,” Su Wanxia ant to say yes, she had so business.

But Aisha quickly interjected, “President Mu just went to a eting, please go inside and wait,” she wouldn’t dare to invite soone into the inner office on her own initiative, but it definitely wouldn’t be a problem for soone as special as President Mu’s favorite.

“Oh, okay,” Su Wanxia didn’t expect that coming in early would an that she missed him, so she had no choice but to go to the office and wait for him to finish the eting.

As she sat on the sofa in his office, she gradually beca nervous. The events of that night had been so sudden, she hadn’t even prepared herself on how to face him. The more she thought about it, the redder her face got, and her ears started to burn.

In the past, she had always been the one actively pursuing him, to the extent that Yan Yirou and those people couldn’t stand watching her brazenness, and she had never been embarrassed, so why now that he was taking initiative, was she suddenly feeling shy?

The more she tried to understand, the more flustered she beca, and she curled up on the sofa, her mind drifting to all sorts of chaotic thoughts.

Perhaps it was the lack of sleep on the plane; as she thought and thought, she again drifted off into a deep sleep.
