Chapter 247: Chapter 247 That Woman was Hit by My Orders_1
“Mom, soone is taking care of her in the hospital, so I won’t go, but I’ll have soone look into who hit her. After all, she’s living with the Mu Family and working at Mu Group. We definitely need to find out if it’s related to us–”
Mu Yingchen solemnly said to his mother.
Upon hearing her daddy’s words, Shanshan suddenly beca uneasy. She was really worried at this mont—what if her daddy traced it back to her? Would he still praise her for being a sweet girl then?
“Shanshan, why aren’t you eating? Hurry up and eat. These are all your favorites,” Mu’s mother said gently as she noticed Shanshan had stopped eating.
Shanshan giggled, “Grandma, I’m a bit full–”
Mu’s mother instantly smiled knowingly, “Hehe, then have so soup. You shouldn’t eat too much, or it’s not good for your stomach.”
“Okay,” Shanshan nodded.
This dinner was the most harmonious the Mu Family had ever had at their dining table, filled with continuous laughter and joy throughout the al, unlike the usual dead silence where only the clinking of chopsticks and plates could be heard.
After dinner, Mu Yingchen let Shanshan stay with Grandma Mu and Grandpa Mu for a while before standing up from the sofa.
“Grandpa, mom, Shanshan and I need to step out for a bit.”
As soon as he spoke, both elders looked at him tensely.
“Where are you taking my granddaughter?”
“Where are you taking my great-granddaughter?”
Mu’s mother and Grandpa Mu almost spoke at the sa ti.
Mu Yingchen let out a chuckle, “I’m taking her out to run so errands.”
“Why do you need to take her with you when you’re running errands?” Mu’s mother was not pleased.
Mu Yingchen instantly felt a headache, “Mom, Shanshan will ultimately have to go find her mommy.”
At that statent, both Grandpa Mu and Mu’s mother’s hearts beca entangled.
“I don’t want to, Shanshan is your child; she should stay with you.”
“Mom–” Mu Yingchen raised his voice slightly.
It seed that in the last few days, he couldn’t suppress his irritation no matter how hard he tried.
“We can’t be so selfish. She raised Shanshan all by herself, and these past years, we didn’t even know Shanshan existed. How can you say such things?”
Looking at Mu Yingchen sowhat crestfallen, Mu’s mother said, “But you can’t just not let
see my granddaughter, can you?”
“Yes, you can’t keep
from seeing my great-granddaughter either,” Grandpa Mu couldn’t help but echo.
Watching his mother and grandfather go back and forth, Mu Yingchen was helplessly rubbing his forehead.
“Great-grandpa, Grandma, I’ll co back to see you,” Shanshan chipped in.
The two of them grew even more worried when they heard the little girl’s words.
Coming back to see them—they wondered when she would actually co back.
“Don’t worry. I too want Shanshan to stay by my side. In a couple of days, I’ll bring her back to see you,” Mu Yingchen reassured them in a softer voice.
“Really?” they asked in unison.
“Really!”
“Alright then.”
“Okay, then I’ll take her away first–”
“Shanshan, co here, give grandma a kiss,” Mu’s mother said as she picked up Shanshan and planted a kiss on her little face.
“And you too, great-grandpa, co on,” the old Mr. Mu joined in.
Snuggled in Mu’s mother’s embrace, Shanshan giggled and then hugged old Mr. Mu’s neck, kissing him on the face.
“Alright, Shanshan, let’s go,” Mu Yingchen spoke up.
“Okay, good–”
After saying goodbye to the reluctantly departing old Mr. Mu and Mu’s mother, she was promptly scooped up by Mu Yingchen and stuffed into the car.
The mont the car door closed, Shanshan still heard Mu’s mother’s voice: “Yingchen, you must bring my precious granddaughter back in a couple of days.”
She couldn’t help but crack a smile. Mommy said grandma was strict and tough to deal with, but she didn’t really find her strict, nor particularly hard to deal with.
If her daddy and mommy could hear her inner thoughts, they’d surely say she’d been bought off, the little minx.
Sitting in the car, Shanshan kept twisting her little head around to look at Mu Yingchen, who was focused on driving.
She looked at him for a while, then again after a while, that hesitant and conflicted deanor made Mu Yingchen unable to ignore it any longer.
“What’s wrong, Shanshan? Is there sothing you want to tell daddy?” Mu Yingchen couldn’t help but chuckle. This little one was so adorable; she clearly had sothing to say to him, yet she kept her mouth shut, unwilling to speak.
Shanshan blinked her eyes, sowhat sheepishly, then looked at Mu Yingchen, giggled twice, and said softly, “Daddy, I have to tell you sothing, and you have to promise not to get angry, okay?”
Mu Yingchen raised an eyebrow. Asking him not to get angry—had this little minx done sothing wrong?
“Uh-huh,” he nodded without hesitation and then perked up his ears to listen to what she had to say.
“That woman—it was
who had her beaten up,” Shanshan said, lacking confidence as she hung her head and blurted out this statent to Mu Yingchen.
Mu Yingchen’s brows shot up in surprise. That woman was beaten up at her behest?
When he heard her words, he imdiately replaced “that woman” with the na “Bai Yudie.”
Bai Yudie was beaten up by soone this little minx sent?
He shook his head helplessly; how old was this little one and she was already learning to teach soone a lesson?
“Who did you have do it?” he asked out of curiosity. Could it be Su Ran, that guy?
Shanshan imdiately shook her little head, “I t her downstairs when I went to find you. She was telling reporters bad things about mommy, and I got so mad, I had soone give her a beating.”
As she spoke, she raised her little hands, “But I promise, I only had her beaten into a pig’s head, I didn’t let them hit her too hard–”
Mu Yingchen hadn’t been following the news, so he wasn’t sure if Shanshan’s story was true or fabricated, or if Bai Yudie really had the gall to badmouth his woman in front of the reporters.
But his daughter had already had her beaten up, so what’s done was done. He could only consider Bai Yudie unlucky–
Seeing Mu Yingchen staring ahead silently, Shanshan thought he was truly angry and her little face imdiately turned sorrowful, “Daddy, are you really angry? I just couldn’t stand her saying you and mommy were a thing of the past, that’s why I hit her. Please don’t be mad at , okay?”
Mu Yingchen didn’t actually bla her, but who knew the little minx would think he was angry and spill so much.
He narrowed his eyes; that Bai Yudie actually said that he and Wanwan were a thing of the past. Damn it, she was the one who was going to beco a thing of the past!
He had felt a bit of sympathy for her before, but after hearing Shanshan’s words, he felt none. It served her right! Always showing off—if she really beca Mrs. Mu, she would surely brag and show off in front of others every day, wouldn’t she?
No man could stand a woman like that!
“Shanshan, daddy isn’t angry with you, but as a girl, you can’t be so violent in the future, okay? If there’s anything, you can tell daddy, alright?”
Mu Yingchen’s gentle voice instantly made Shanshan break into a happy smile.
“Okay–”
