Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Give Her a Hand_1

Wen Lingya’s complexion turned white in an instant. She knew that if Su Wanxia went to inform President Mu about her actions, her life would have no further connection with Mu Group.

“What do you want?” she asked through clenched teeth in a low voice.

“The matter could be considered significant or insignificant. In any case, whatever you did today is moot; it has no impact on ,” Su Wanxia said calmly, sitting in a chair nearby.

“Is it really that important whose proposal we use? Moreover, this project was originally assigned to ng Can, you, and

to complete together. Why do you always need to compete?”

Listening to Su Wanxia’s words, Wen Lingya gripped her hands tighter.

“It might not be important to you, but it is to !”

Wen Lingya’s chest heaved as if she was struggling to control her emotions.

“I study diligently every day, racking my brains over the proposal, never resting for a mont, just hoping for my proposal to be recognized.”

“I know I am not as good as you, with neither the reputation nor the experience. But I’ve been working hard, persistently striving to perfect this proposal. So why? Why does no one take a serious look at my work, offer

so appreciation, or encouragent?”

“In the end, they dismissed the proposal I had labored over for months as worthless!”

At that mont, Wen Lingya was extrely emotional, her words laden with a mix of complaint and reproach.

“And you? Whatever you do is always perfect!”

“They all favor you just because of your ambiguous relationship with President Mu!”

“It’s not fair!”

“So you took the proposal I had prepared, just to replace it with your own that you had ready, didn’t you?” Su Wanxia asked with an indifferent tone.

“But you didn’t anticipate that I would actually make it to the eting room in ti, with the complete proposal in hand, so you couldn’t use the material you had prepared in advance, could you?”

Wen Lingya’s eyes flickered with surprise.

“Have you ever considered what would happen if I hadn’t made it and your proposal wasn’t approved? What would the consequences be?”

“It would make them question the choice of Mu Group, and it could bring substantial losses to our own company.”

“If we were to investigate, could you bear the responsibility for all of that? Have you ever thought about these questions?”

Even though Su Wanxia didn’t speak harshly, every word made Wen Lingya’s heart tremble.

She hadn’t considered any of it; she just thought that if Su Wanxia didn’t show up, her proposal would be accepted, and she would beco the lead designer of the project, her fa skyrocketing to beco a well-known designer both dostically and internationally.

But now, considering the issues Su Wanxia raised, she felt a chill of fear.

“Should I call you naive, or should I call you ignorant?” Any vestige of anger in Su Wanxia’s heart suddenly vanished. She knew all too well the effort it took to succeed and the hardships one must endure to get there—after all, she had also climbed her way up from being an insignificant designer.

Therefore, she could understand what Wen Lingya was saying.

But since she had put in the effort, she should persevere, never seeking shortcuts and always staying grounded, because after all, pie won’t just fall from the sky.

As a designer, if you don’t get recognition from others, it’s simply because you haven’t done well enough.

So you can only keep working hard and keep persevering to achieve what you want, or perhaps even results beyond your wildest dreams.

Wen Lingya sat dejectedly in her swivel chair, looking at Su Wanxia with a lackluster gaze and a self-mocking laugh. “Since you know everything, there’s nothing more I can say.”

“I don’t need to report you to President Mu; I’ll leave on my own.”

President Mu cherished her so much that he would doubtlessly expel her from Mu Group without a second thought.

She wouldn’t wait for that to happen; she would leave on her own.

“I don’t recall saying that I was going to report you,” Su Wanxia suddenly spoke.

Wen Lingya’s eyes paused, her gaze on Su Wanxia tinged with suspicion.

“And I never said you had to leave,” remarked Su Wanxia, her expression indifferent.

“So what do you want?”

Su Wanxia slightly curved the corners of her lips and then slowly stood up, walking over to Wen Lingya’s desk.

Wen Lingya’s heart was suspended in midair, her eyes fixed intently on Su Wanxia.

With a slap, Su Wanxia tossed the docunt she was holding in front of Wen Lingya.

“Take a close look at this, if there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask

and Can.”

Wen Lingya picked up the docunt with a nervous heart.

Upon gently flipping it open, she was instantly stunned.

Then, she looked up incredulously at the calm-faced Su Wanxia.

“Why?”

“Don’t ask why, just show us how capable you are.”

Having said that, Su Wanxia turned and walked towards the door.

“Su Wanxia!” Wen Lingya abruptly stood up.

Su Wanxia turned around, her gaze indifferent.

“Maybe you don’t know, but sotis, you all are so similar.” That kind of arrogance, that kind of indifferent nonchalance.

“Us? Who?” Su Wanxia was sowhat puzzled.

“Heh, it’s nothing, but, I won’t be grateful to you,” Wen Lingya said with a self-mocking laugh.

“I never expected your gratitude,” Su Wanxia replied nonchalantly, spreading her hands before turning and walking away.

Wen Lingya stood still, staring at her retreating figure, lost in thought.

After leaving Wen Lingya’s office, Su Wanxia saw ng Can standing at her office door with his arms crossed.

She raised an eyebrow and then slowly walked towards him.

“What’s the big designer doing standing here?”

“What were you doing with her?” asked ng Can with a curious expression.

“Since when are you so gossipy?” Su Wanxia said, exasperated.

“Heh, can’t help it, just curious.”

“Let’s go inside and talk,” Su Wanxia said as she walked into ng Can’s office.

“So, does your tardiness today have anything to do with her?” ng Can probed tentatively.

Su Wanxia raised her eyebrows and watched him nod emphatically.

“Can, I’ve just realized that you’re simply a living Zhuge Liang.”

“Heh, you really flatter .”

“Do I?”

“Alright, let’s hear it.”

Then Su Wanxia recounted the whole incident to ng Can.

Listening, ng Can shook his head repeatedly.

“So you’re saying, you had no intention of exposing her and even gave her the docunt on how to modify the plan?”

“Yeah,” Su Wanxia nodded.

“Because I think, she’s just blinded by her competitive spirit. In the end, she is also striving for her dream. Although we haven’t had much interaction with her over these few months, we’ve all seen her efforts. Plus, she only lacks understanding in certain areas, so if she can recognize and correct her flaws in ti, she might well beco a very good designer.”

ng Can stroked his chin and nodded slightly, “You’re right, we’ve all co up step by step. If you can give her a hand, who knows, you might even add a powerful asset to our dostic design circle.”

Su Wanxia looked at him sowhat amused: “Are you indirectly complinting ?”

“Um, I guess so!”

“Ha, then should I act even happier?”

“Heh, you…”
