Ann Vaughn glanced at the cast list, and her eyes suddenly froze.
It wasn’t because her na was indeed on it, but because of a na she had no recollection of—
Hugo Sullivan.
The mont she saw this na, a chill ran up Ann Vaughn’s spine, and the back of her head tingled slightly. For so reason, a sense of fear crept up from the bottom of her heart.
"Just like the scenes in my dreams."
"No wonder you’re my favorite... Muse."
A nearly eerie voice echoed in Ann Vaughn’s mind, instantly causing a sharp pain in her brain.
Seeing Ann Vaughn’s complexion change, Reese Lynch asked worriedly, "What’s wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"
"No..." Ann Vaughn’s small face turned a bit pale as she withdrew her gaze from the cast list and smiled at Reese Lynch, "I was just wondering what kind of person this screenwriter is."
"Screenwriter Sullivan is quite talented. This ti ’Phoenix Rising’ had a box office explosion, and his value is going to rise even more... It’s such a pity, though, talents seem to die young," the assistant sighed.
Ann Vaughn said nothing, the fear enveloping her heart slowly dissipating.
Not long after Reese went to rest, Ann Vaughn and the assistant left the hospital room.
"By the way, there’s sothing I worry about telling Reese now, as it might stimulate her and affect her recovery," Ann Vaughn stopped and told the assistant, "You’re close to Reese, so I hope you can keep an eye out for her."
Hearing this beginning, the assistant’s heart tensed, hurriedly asking, "What are you talking about?"
Ann Vaughn recounted seeing Jude Halloway with another woman recently, looking rather intimate, to the assistant.
"Jude Halloway saw just now, and if he’s afraid I’ll tell Reese about this and erases the traces of his infidelity, then Reese will be at a disadvantage in a divorce case," Ann Vaughn added.
The assistant stomped in anger, "Damn bastard! All talk about working hard for Miss Lynch and the child, but cheating behind her back! Why hasn’t lightning struck him yet?"
"Now’s not the ti to be angry; fighting for Reese to get divorce assets and child custody is the most crucial thing," Ann Vaughn calmly reminded her.
"Yes, yes, I’ll imdiately find a private detective, won’t give the bastard any chance to turn the tables!" The assistant nodded seriously, "And thank you, Miss Vaughn, for telling this, it’s all thanks to you."
"It’s nothing. I’m leaving now."
After bidding farewell to the assistant, Ann Vaughn took the elevator down to visit Susie Somrs.
But she saw two n outside Susie’s hospital room, one in a wheelchair, the other standing behind him, neither entering nor leaving.
She didn’t know what they were waiting for.
Ann Vaughn walked over, curiously asking, "Are you friends of Susie Somrs?"
Julian Master Moore turned around, eting Ann Vaughn’s unfamiliar and puzzled gaze, surprised yet warmly saying, "Miss Vaughn, long ti no see."
"You know ?" Ann Vaughn’s heart skipped a beat, instinctively asking.
This question raised Julian Master Moore’s surprise even more, "Is there sothing wrong with your mory?"
Ann Vaughn remained silent, pursing her lips and looking at him warily.
"You don’t need to be so defensive, I won’t harm you." Julian Master Moore smiled gently, different from Warren Vance’s feigned gentleness mixed with coldness.
His gentleness seed to seep into his bones, making people feel very comfortable.
Ann Vaughn looked at his wheelchair, thinking of what Susie had ntioned before, suddenly realizing.
"You’re Julian Master Moore?"
"Did Susie ntion ?" Julian Master Moore’s hand on the wheelchair armrest tightened slightly.
Ann Vaughn nodded, "More than once. The one who is a bigger jerk than bean curd dregs, heartless and unfeeling, destined to be struck down heartbreaker."
Her tone was chilling, even Sean Sloan couldn’t help but widen his eyes; Miss Somrs was really... how could she speak of him like that?
Julian Master Moore smiled helplessly, "I doubt her original words were this gentle."
Oh, how.
Ann Vaughn raised her delicate brow; this man really understood Susie well.
"I don’t know how you found this place, but Susie doesn’t want to see you, so please leave."
If he couldn’t take responsibility for Susie, what was he doing here, just to upset her?
"Miss Vaughn, could you let us see..."
Sean Sloan tried to say sothing, but Julian Master Moore interrupted him.
"Please don’t tell Susie I was here," Julian Master Moore said warmly, with no hint of temper, "Sean, let’s go."
Sean Sloan sighed and had no choice but to push Julian Master Moore away, muttering, "Sir, won’t you feel at ease if you don’t see Miss Somrs with your own eyes?"
"With Miss Vaughn by her side, it’s alright," Julian Master Moore smiled faintly, "She’s always been very proud that her best friend is the owner of Vaughn Clinic."
When soone insults her, she just retorts.
But when soone insults Ann Vaughn, she gets physical.
That’s how biased and protective Susie is.
Hearing their conversation, Ann Vaughn, who was about to enter the hospital room, froze montarily, then quickly caught up to stop them.
"What did you an by what you just said, who’s the owner of Vaughn Clinic?!"
"It’s you, Miss Vaughn, how could you forget even this?" Sean Sloan said bluntly.
Hearing this answer, Ann Vaughn’s mind went blank for a few seconds.
From the mont she realized she was Aquarelle Vaughn, she had already suspected.
Sherry being so good to her was one clue.
The second was the dical books she borrowed from Vaughn Clinic, which all served as reminders that she once belonged there.
She just never dared to be certain.
"I know an excellent psychologist, if you need, you can find him at this address," Julian Master Moore handed over a business card to Ann Vaughn.
Amidst her chaotic thoughts, Ann Vaughn absentmindedly accepted the card, "...Thank you."
"You’re welco; I’ll leave Susie to you."
After Julian Master Moore and Sean Sloan left, Ann Vaughn leaned against the wall to calm down before lowering her eyes to look at the card.
Echo Lynch.
The address is... Temple of the Clear Heart??
Ann Vaughn was montarily stunned, whose psychological consulting room is set up in a temple??
After leaving the hospital, Ann Vaughn went straight to Vaughn Clinic.
Who knew that Josiah Keaton’s car would be parked at the back door of the clinic, attempting another ambush.
Ann Vaughn had no choice but to go to the front door, feeling relieved when she saw there weren’t many custors inside, and then walked in.
As soon as she entered, the employees discussing the Lockwood Family gathered excitedly, looking at her.
"Boss!!"
"Oh my gosh, was Caleb’s mouth blessed? We were just talking about the boss, and the boss really ca back!"
"Boss, we missed you so much! We thought you were going to settle abroad and wouldn’t co back!"
Although she had no mory of them, Ann Vaughn still smiled and agreed with them, then went to the lounge to find Sherry.
