Thinking of this, Ann Vaughn didn’t even have the mood to cook. She collapsed on the sofa, picked up the dical book she hadn’t finished reading yesterday, and continued reading.

About an hour later, Ann Vaughn suddenly heard the doorbell.

She tossed the book aside, slipped on her shoes, and quickly ran to open the door.

No one was outside, only a tray on the ground with a white food jar on it, surrounded by several small dishes.

Underneath one of the plates was a note, which Ann picked up and read.

[Thank you for the cake.]

Upon seeing this, Ann couldn’t help but smile. This neighbor seems to have a personality that dislikes owing favors.

After so thought, she picked up the tray and turned back inside the house.

...

First Hospital.

"You’re so busy with work and still take the ti to accompany for the check-up. It makes a bit embarrassed."

The woman in a champagne-colored suit gave Julian Master Moore a coy smile and then took over Sean Sloan’s job of pushing his wheelchair towards the elevator.

Julian Master Moore smiled warmly, "It’s what I should do."

"You’re a qualified fiancé, and I believe you’ll be a good dad in the future too." The woman winked at him, her smile becoming even more alluring.

Susie Somrs was standing in a corner they hadn’t noticed. She didn’t turn away until those figures disappeared at the elevator entrance.

She looked up at the clinic they had co out of; the words "Obstetrics and Gynecology" painfully pierced her eyes.

A good dad in the future?

Unconsciously, Susie placed her hand on her lower abdon, her eyes dazed, her face as pale as the wall.

So Letitia Chambers is pregnant... No wonder Uncle was so eager to get engaged to her.

If he didn’t truly like her, how could he give Letitia Chambers full status and face in front of so many family mbers?

If he likes Letitia Chambers so much, then why did he have to be with her...

Susie’s fingers tightened suddenly, pulling a bitter smile at the corner of her lips.

Who on earth has she offended?

Or was she just naturally incompatible with people nad Chambers?

One, Leona Chambers, ended her seven-year-long secret crush.

Another, Letitia Chambers, snuffed out her budding affection, which had barely sprouted.

What a farce.

On the other side.

In the elevator, Letitia Chambers pressed the button for the floor, frowning as she recalled the familiar figure she had just glimpsed.

That person just now... Why did she seem so much like Susie Somrs?

But what was she doing in the Obstetrics and Gynecology departnt if she had no business there?

"Letitia." Julian Master Moore quietly watched the numbers rising in the elevator, then suddenly spoke up.

Letitia Chambers snapped out of her thoughts, responding softly, "What’s wrong?"

"About pretending to be my fiancée, please don’t ntion it to anyone. I’ll compensate you accordingly afterward."

"Of course," Letitia Chambers said with a smile, "I won’t tell anyone about our matter."

Julian Master Moore nodded slightly, "Thank you."

...

Initially, Ann Vaughn thought it was a problem with her phone, as every ti she tried to retrieve soone’s information, the interface showed an error.

But after attempting to look up a few renowned individuals dostically, she easily found detailed information, such as how many tis they’d cheated, how many failed marriages they had, whether the children were theirs, and so on.

Isn’t this absurd?

Just as Ann Vaughn felt puzzled, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower abdon, followed by a familiar warm flow.

She quickly got up from her computer, rummaged through her drawers to find a small pad, and went to the restroom with it.

After returning from the restroom, Ann felt utterly miserable, cold sweat beading on her forehead, and curled up in pain.

Back at her computer, she shakily typed a line.

She initially just wanted to find so painkillers that wouldn’t have side effects, but instead, the screen was filled with links for nstrual pain patches.

Ann Vaughn furrowed her brows and tried to close the webpage, but her mouse slipped, and she accidentally clicked into one of those links.

[I absolutely love Imperial Glory’s nstrual pain patch! It’s simply a godsend! I’ll be loyal to President Vaughn forever!]

President Vaughn?

Ann Vaughn’s attention was caught by these words. Ignoring the pain in her lower abdon, she continued to scroll.

—The nstrual patches are indeed effective. But my household is a loyal fan of aromatherapy balls. We can’t do without them now; whether at ho or outside, we always keep so on hand.

—The person above sounds like a salesperson. By the way, when is Imperial Glory launching new products? It’s been a few months, is yunanan lost on the Gothasen trip?? Does she rember she has a company?

—I was about to scold you for using Pinyin, but turns out I can’t type out yunanan’s three characters either.

—President Vaughn’s first-ever movie is about to premiere. You can buy products anyti, but you can’t miss President Vaughn’s debut, ladies!!

—I suspect you’re being suggestive, and I have evidence.

...

Reaching the end of the post, Ann Vaughn scrolled back up to the top comnts.

yunanan?

Isn’t that the Pinyin for her na?

Ann Vaughn’s heart was filled with a mix of surprise and confusion. She quickly exited that page and typed "Imperial Glory" into the search bar.

A lot of information appeared, but none related to "yunanan" being ntioned in the post.

Moreover, when Ann Vaughn tried to find that post again, she discovered it had already been deleted.

"Coincidence?" Ann Vaughn frowned, her lips pressed slightly together, quickly dismissing that thought.

There aren’t many nas with the sa Pinyin, and since the netizen ntioned Gothasen, it’s even more unlikely to be a coincidence.

Ann Vaughn leaned on the computer, her hands clutching her abdon tightly, trying to alleviate the gnawing sensation.

Just then, the doorbell rang again.

Feeling weak all over, Ann Vaughn didn’t even want to move a finger, but with the doorbell ringing incessantly, she had no choice but to suppress her discomfort and get up to answer the door.

She finally understood the hardship of the little rmaid walking.

Every step felt like treading on the tip of a knife, her heart felt on the verge of collapse.

Opening the door, the light from outside flashed across Ann Vaughn’s eyes. She squinted, her head suddenly spinning, and her body collapsed uncontrollably.

Before fainting, Ann Vaughn had only one thought—

Why hadn’t she ordered those nstrual pain patches ntioned in the post?

...

It felt as if an entire century had passed.

Ann Vaughn, still half-conscious, heard so sounds near her ears, trying hard to discern them, but it was all a blur.

"Wah wah, Daddy, can Kenny think about his mistakes only after Mommy wakes up, okay?" A slightly whiny childish voice ca from the corner of the room.

Kenny twisted his chubby hands, standing pitifully in a corner, casting woeful glances at his daddy from ti to ti.

Cyrus Hawthorne sat calmly at the bedside, using a handkerchief to wipe the sweat off Ann Vaughn’s forehead, without lifting his gaze at the remark.

"Who allowed you to give your mommy ice cream?"
