Gothasen Royal City.

A person lay on the carpet beside the sofa, and Warren Vance stood to one side with his eyes lightly lowered, casually wiping his fingers with a white handkerchief.

The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly oppressive, as if the air was no longer just air, but invisible killing intent.

"How could you ss this up?" After a long silence, Warren Vance spoke blandly.

Behind him, Quinn Bishop felt a chill in his heart, "Your Highness, I..."

"I don’t want to hear long-winded explanations." Warren Vance slightly raised his head and casually tossed the handkerchief into the trash can, "There won’t be a next ti."

"Yes!"

Warren Vance didn’t even glance at Kressiel lying on the ground, turned and walked past her, saying to Quinn Bishop, "Take her to Dexter. I don’t want a second person to know about this."

"Yes, rest assured, Your Highness." Quinn Bishop glanced at the unconscious Kressiel, feeling a twinge of pity.

Sotis, ddling isn’t necessarily a good thing.

...

Inside the Vaughn Clinic consultation room.

"Alright, try moving your fingers gently, no need to exert too much force, take it easy." Sherry removed the silver needles from Ann Vaughn’s hand one by one and then told her.

Ann Vaughn nodded and did as instructed.

After each acupuncture session, she could clearly feel her right hand becoming much more flexible, even if she used a bit of force, it wouldn’t feel excruciatingly painful.

Unfortunately, this relief was only temporary, and once the effects of the acupuncture wore off, it would revert to its original state.

But at least it offered a glimr of hope.

Watching Ann Vaughn struggle to move her fingers, Sherry’s eyes welled up slightly, suppressing her emotions, she said, "Didn’t you say you like reading dical books? I have many here, if you finish reading them, you can co and get more."

"That would be wonderful." Ann Vaughn’s eyes brightened a bit, and she said sowhat apologetically, "But wouldn’t that be too much trouble for you?"

"Not at all. It’s just a few books, there’s no trouble in that."

Just as Ann Vaughn was about to respond, her phone suddenly rang in her pocket.

Sherry stood up and said, "I’ll step out to get sothing, you go ahead and take that call."

"Thank you." Ann Vaughn smiled at her, took out her phone with her left hand, and swiped to answer the call.

"Annie, sothing’s wrong!" As soon as she connected, Susie Somrs’ anxious voice ca through: "Kenny was taken away by a group of bodyguards in black. I heard his dad was the one who sent them. Have you ever heard Kenny ntion this?"

Kenny’s dad?!

Ann Vaughn’s heart skipped a beat, she quickly asked, "Are you sure it’s really Kenny’s biological father? Where did they take Kenny?"

"I don’t know if it’s real or fake, but later we overheard them saying they were taking Kenny ho, seems to be at..." Susie thought for a mont and then gave an address.

Ann Vaughn imdiately morized the address, without even bothering to take the dicine on the table, she hurriedly left the Vaughn Clinic.

Half an hour later.

Ann Vaughn paid for the taxi and got out, looking towards the white villa situated in a quiet garden.

The soft golden sunset light draped over the villa and its surroundings, like an old photograph, serene and leisurely.

"Ding dong, ding dong."

Ann Vaughn walked straight to the door and pressed the doorbell on the wall.

However, after waiting for about ten minutes, there was still no response from inside.

The longer the ti passed, the more uneasy and worried Ann Vaughn felt.

Kenny had ntioned his dad was long gone, which ant the people who took him might not be his biological father.

Doesn’t that an Kenny could be in danger now?!

Thinking of this, Ann Vaughn’s eyes turned cold, she stared at the small door beside the main gate for a while, and suddenly had an idea.

Not long after, a petite figure sneaked in through the small door and began to scurry towards the villa.

The villa was eerily quiet, without any lights on or a single person in sight, the only sound in Ann Vaughn’s ears was her own footsteps.

In such a large villa, it was inexplicably a little creepy.

"Quickly find Kenny and get out of here." Ann Vaughn suppressed her fear, muttering to herself as she entered the first room on the first floor, starting her search towards upstairs from there.

Although the villa didn’t look large from the outside, the first and second floors together had more than a dozen rooms, which nearly exhausted Ann Vaughn.

"Evil capitalism!"

Ann Vaughn muttered under her breath, then pushed open one of the rooms on the third floor.

The room was dimly lit, and to avoid alerting anyone, Ann Vaughn dared not switch on the lights, she could only feel along the walls, softly calling out Kenny’s na to locate him.

"Click."

A soft sound suddenly ca from beside Ann Vaughn, and before she could react to what it was, her whole body, due to a loss of balance, fell through the door she unintentionally pushed open.

As the brightness flooded her vision, the sound of flowing water in her ears beca more distinct.

"Ouch." Ann Vaughn winced in pain, propping herself up from the slippery floor with her left hand, and just as she raised her eyes, her whole body froze.

The bathroom was enveloped in steam from the hot water, making it a misty white, so nothing was particularly clear, which only made the tall and refined silhouette under the showerhead appear like a mirage, utterly unreal.

The stream of water traced down the man’s elegant brow, across his defined facial features, dripping from his chin, all gathering onto the firm lines of his chest.

However, the wound on his left chest looked sinister and frightening, Ann Vaughn’s long lashes fluttered, and she subconsciously averted her gaze.

But the man suddenly turned slightly, and Ann Vaughn clearly saw the segnted muscles of his abdon.

Especially the slightly raised arm, the elbow’s contours smooth and aesthetically pleasing, implying a tactile sense...

Tactile sense?

Tactile sense?!

Startled by her own absurd thought, Ann Vaughn slapped her forehead hard, trying to snap herself awake.

Just then, the water stopped, making the sound of her slapping her forehead exceptionally loud.

Caught off guard, she locked eyes with the man’s deep, night-like narrow ones, a shiver ran through Ann Vaughn, her mind going completely blank.

Surprised by the petite figure kneeling dumbfoundedly on the floor, Cyrus Hawthorne’s brows imperceptibly furrowed slightly, he casually grabbed a bathrobe from the side and put it on, walking towards her.

As the mist cleared slightly, the delicate, stunned little face before him beca increasingly clear.

Cyrus Hawthorne’s eyes simred with a dark undercurrent, but it was contained neatly within.

He then squatted down in front of her, eting her gaze.

"Have you seen enough?"

Ann Vaughn’s head was still spinning, upon hearing this question, she unthinkingly replied: "Not yet, can I keep looking?"

No sooner had she spoken than Ann Vaughn realized her blunder, and eting Cyrus Hawthorne’s amused eyes, she wished she could just vanish.

What the? Still not enough? Want to pay for extra viewing??

Ann Vaughn, did you just lose your dignity, ahhh!!
