Not only did Cyrus Hawthorne’s recovery speed far exceed their expectations, but the series of complications expected from a triple infection did not manifest in him.

It was simply astonishing.

Cyrus maintained a calm deanor, casually buttoning his shirt as his narrow eyes glanced at the joyful Ann Vaughn, his thin lips curving into a slight smile.

"So happy?" he asked softly.

Ann’s eyes seed to glisten with tiny starlights, sparkling, but she denied it with her lips: "I’m happy for you."

Cyrus raised an eyebrow, gently pinching her delicate cheek with a long finger, and said in a hoarse voice, "Again, you say one thing and an another."

"...Hmph." Ann puffed her cheeks, not denying it.

As the pink bubbles seed ready to fill the entire room, so experts couldn’t help but blush.

Even more than when they had seen Ann feed Cyrus dicine.

At this mont, the experts recalled sothing they had privately complained about, unable to contain their excitent, they interrupted the two: "Miss Vaughn, what exactly did you put in the herbal soup you gave Mr. Hawthorne? How could it have such a miraculous effect!"

Initially, there had been an intense debate among them about whether to give Cyrus traditional Chinese dicine or Western dicine.

However, Ann was not influenced by their opinions and persisted with her treatnt thod.

Before seeing results, the experts were all proud and naturally reluctant to easily believe that traditional Chinese dicine could be this effective.

But now...

The experts only regretted not consulting Ann more when she was preparing the dicine.

Ann then recited the prescription to them.

Hearing that the ingredients were quite ordinary herbs, but the usage was rather mysterious, the experts couldn’t help but ponder, "So of these herbs are contradictory, and if the proportions to counteract them are not well controlled... You truly have remarkable courage."

The female researcher on the right teased with a smile, "It’s not just remarkable courage, there are a few extrely bitter herbs in the mix besides coptis, just slling it would be unbearable for you, yet Miss Vaughn fed it to President Hawthorne."

Ann: !!!

Cyrus’s thin lips curved slightly, looking at Ann’s face that turned red instantly, his gaze deepened, "How did she feed it?"

Hearing this, Ann imdiately panicked, "Wait, it’s not—"

Before she finished speaking, the female researcher, unable to contain her excitent at finally witnessing so romance, exclaid in a decayed voice, "She fed it to him like a kiss!!"

Ann’s outstretched hand froze mid-air, her cheeks so hot they could almost fry an egg.

The experts looked at the female researcher as if they were looking at a fearless warrior, full of pity.

Shipping the CP right in front of the parties involved, aren’t you afraid of getting reprimanded!

Not even considering that these two are already divorced, how could their relationship be as sweet as they are pretending?!

Watching Ann withdrawing further and further away, shy like an ostrich unwilling to lift her head, a rare pampering look surfaced in Cyrus’s eyes.

"Everyone, leave."

"Please get so rest, we’ll leave now!" The experts said, covering the female researcher’s mouth who still wanted to speak, taking her out of this terrifying place.

Female researcher: Even if you bury and seal my mouth, I will shout with a decayed voice—

They are real!!

Unfortunately, she couldn’t shout, and as the ward door closed, the atmosphere inside the room quieted.

Ann hung her head, shuffling to the foot of the bed, but a pair of long arms enveloped her waist and pulled her forward, returning her to the starting point.

Seeing her white, delicate ears under her black hair turning so red they seed like they could bleed, Cyrus pulled her into his lap.

"Aren’t you hungry? I’ll go make you sothing to eat!" Ann hurriedly tried to break free from his hold.

"Not in the mood for anything else." Cyrus lowered his gaze, his eyes deep and profound, his tone aningful, "Today I’ll let you off, but I’ll take so interest."

Ann: ???

Did she accidentally incur a debt again??

Ann butted Cyrus’s chin with her head, fiercely yet gently using her hand to push his fingers away, "What are you talking about! What are you saying in broad daylight!"

She wasn’t strong, but when angry, she was like a little hamster, adorably fierce, completely non-threatening.

Cyrus took her soft little hand into his palm, their fingers interlacing perfectly, a sudden joy lighting up his dark narrow eyes, "So it was you all along..."

"What’s ?" Ann asked, puzzled, looking up at him.

Cyrus didn’t answer her, his smile unwavering.

When he was about to fall into darkness, sink into the abyss, with no hope of revival.

It turns out it was these hands that always held him tightly, never letting go...

When lunch was brought up, the herbal dicine Cyrus needed to drink was also freshly prepared and delivered.

But after finishing the light lunch, Cyrus did not imdiately drink the dicine, his narrow eyes fixed on Ann who was cleaning up the table.

"...What’s wrong?" Ann suddenly felt a bad premonition.

Supporting his chin with one hand, Cyrus responded with a soft hum, "Just wondering when you’ll feed the dicine."

Ann: !!!

Can’t they get over this issue?!!
