Ann Vaughn’s steps ca to an imdiate halt as she felt a chill run down her spine, thinking she had bumped into sothing supernatural.

But when she looked again towards the row of clothing racks in the store, the silhouette that had borne an uncanny resemblance to her, even matching her style, was nowhere to be seen!

Could she have just imagined it?

Ann Vaughn hesitated, peering through the glass of the shop window for a while, when suddenly, soone tapped her lightly on the shoulder from behind.

She whipped around to see Quinn, wearing sunglasses, smiling and asking, "Annie, why didn’t you let your sister know you were here? I almost missed you because I saw soone who looked like you."

"Sister Quinn." Ann Vaughn pressed a smile onto her red lips, "I didn’t want to disturb you at work."

"What’s the disturbance? Co on, I’ll take you inside." Quinn draped an arm over Ann Vaughn’s shoulder, leading her towards the film city.

Just at that mont, inside the fashion store.

Two won walked out of the fitting room, looking toward the place by the window just monts ago. The woman in the white dress wore a sullen expression.

"Slap—"

The sound of a resounding slap landed on the face of the woman in the white dress, as another woman stood in front of her with a cold look.

"Don’t show that expression; her face would never show such emotions. Haven’t I taught you long enough to rember?"

Her tone was cold and disdainful, almost ruthlessly so.

The woman in the white dress dared not offer any resistance, biting down the humiliation and assuming a calm deanor, saying flatly, "Sorry, I lost my composure."

"That’s more like it." The woman eyed her coldly. "I’m giving you a final ten days. If you make another mistake, I won’t hesitate to switch to another pawn."

"Okay." The woman on the left said faintly, her fingers at her side clenching tightly, almost digging into her palm.

Just endure a little longer.

She couldn’t let go of this chance to turn the tables!

...

In the film city.

Quinn took Ann Vaughn around the movie set, saying as they went, "This film is about to wrap up today. Before the end of the holiday, I’ll be able to spend good ti with Luke."

"Luke is really lucky to have such a great aunt like you." Ann Vaughn accompanied her into the makeup room, smiling as she spoke.

Others might not dare to say this to Quinn, as she lived in Silas Kane’s house because of Luke, often becoming the subject of gossip.

Even though there was nothing between her and Silas Kane.

Such comnts were usually snide remarks that ended with, "When are you going to marry Silas and beco Luke’s mom?"

But since it was Ann Vaughn, Luke’s lifesaver, who said this, Quinn felt quite comfortable.

"Teacher Bellamy, your costu is ironed and ready. I’ve hung it here for you." The wardrobe team said as they hung the clothes on the rack.

"Alright, thank you for your hard work." Quinn nodded, recalling the discussions she had with Silas Kane the last ti and hesitantly asked, "Annie, I noticed you really resemble soone I used to know."

"If you two stood together, people would believe you’re mother and daughter."

Ann Vaughn was taken aback, her bright eyes filled with a bit of curiosity, "Silas said the sa thing the last ti... Who is this person?"

"She’s soone who has passed away. Let show you her picture." Quinn said as she reached for her personal phone in the drawer.

She intended to show a photo of Shuhua Vaughn to pique Ann Vaughn’s curiosity and suspicion, making future discussions flow more naturally.

But Quinn accidentally opened a ssage from Silas, furrowing her brow upon reading the content.

Found her?

"Sister Quinn?" Ann Vaughn called out when she noticed Quinn staring at her phone in thought.

"Ah?" Quinn snapped back and apologized with a bit of regret, "Sorry, I’ve changed phones several tis and no longer have her picture."

Ann Vaughn could relate to that, as she often printed photos she took of Kenny to keep in albums.

Since Kenny’s birth, she’s gathered three whole albums.

"No worries, I’m not very curious," Ann Vaughn shrugged nonchalantly, though her mind drifted back to the woman she saw at the fashion store.

She couldn’t shake off the feeling that it wasn’t just a trick of her eyes.

Once Quinn entered the set to start filming, Ann Vaughn sat on her chair, sipping her hot drink while watching with great interest.

There was no denying that Quinn’s acting skills and beauty were remarkable in the entire entertainnt industry.

Suddenly, soone sat down beside her.

Ann Vaughn didn’t shift her gaze from the focused Quinn until she heard a knock on the table beside her, prompting her to look over.

"Yes, can I help you?"

The young man, dressed in a gray and white period costu, was the kind of looks that young won currently favored—sunny and handso.

With his hand resting casually on the table between the seats, his eyes seed to beam directly at Ann Vaughn.

"Do you know the difference between you and a monkey?"

What?

Ann Vaughn nearly choked on her drink, looking at the young man with perplexity.

The biggest difference being support and jungle roles??

Unexpectedly, the young man grasped her wrist gently, casting an affectionate gaze with his bright eyes, "One lives in the mountains, the other resides in my heart."

Ann Vaughn: ???

Upon hearing this, Ann nearly threw her hot drink in the young man’s face out of frustration.

She shook off his hand, frowning lightly, "Do you know the difference between you and a pig?"

"What?"

"Pigs can be eaten, you can only be scolded."

"..."

The young man caught onto her implication, but his grin persisted. "Don’t be like that, little sister. I haven’t seen you before. Are you a rookie? In this industry, you should respect your seniors, understand?"

"Who’s your little sister?" Ann Vaughn’s pretty face turned frosty, her slender fingers tightening around her hot drink cup.

Were it not for the concern it might trouble Quinn, she would have silenced him already.

"You don’t get it, sister. Every newcor in this circle goes through this. Wouldn’t it be better to follow an elder brother than to be picked by so random guy? The brother would at least treat you well... Ah!"

Before the young man could finish his proposition, a cup of ice water poured down on him, making him almost jump up in shock. "Who? Who did this?!"

"." The deep, cold voice cut through, and Ann Vaughn snapped her head up to see Cyrus Hawthorne, who had appeared unnoticed.

With one hand in his pocket, he looked at the young man as if seeing soone destined for doom, his tone icy, "Mark Joyce, go get the director."

"Who do you think you are?" The young man’s eyes were blurred with ice water, preventing him from clearly seeing the man confronting him.
