However, this is simply impossible!

How could soone who was truly on the brink of death co back to life in less than two hours?!

And what the little girl just used, wasn’t that the Golden Needle?

Although the dical community is gradually accepting the revival of traditional Chinese dicine, most of these Western doctors scoff at it.

But now, right under their noses, they witnessed the miracle brought by Chinese dicine.

It’s no longer just shocking.

It was as if the sound of slapping faces echoed in the air.

Then, the doctors, who had been looking down on everyone, gathered around Ann Vaughn, surrounding her.

"Dr. Vaughn, may I ask how you did that just now? Can you explain the secrets of the acupuncture points you just pierced?"

"What did you give Young Master Kane to drink just now? Is that also part of Chinese dicine?"

"Dr. Vaughn..."

For the initial questions, Ann Vaughn answered them all in detail without holding back.

But for that last question...

"It’s just ordinary Chinese dicine," Ann Vaughn replied with a gentle smile.

In fact, it was not ordinary at all.

It was the latest life-extending elixir extracted with the herbal fee paid by The Gilded Pavilion’s owner last ti, and she only had five bottles in her hand so far.

She used acupuncture on Luke to dissolve the blood stasis pressing on the nerves in his brain, protecting his heart and waking him up.

But without the life-extending elixir, with Luke’s current weak condition, he wouldn’t live more than two months.

The doctors didn’t believe her and thought she was deliberately holding back, unwilling to share her achievents, considering her narrow-minded.

Although she was talented, she was selfish.

If she shared this achievent, how many patients could benefit?

Yet she kept it hidden.

"My son needs rest, so Mr. Levitt can’t entertain you all, I’ll have my assistant do it."

Silas Kane, having been in the political arena for many years, saw through these doctors’ thoughts at a glance and waved his hand to call the assistant over.

The assistant smiled and ca over, politely escorting all the doctors out.

Ann Vaughn picked up her dical kit to leave, but to her surprise, Silas Kane called her to stop, "Dr. Vaughn, please stay, I haven’t properly thanked you yet."

Ann Vaughn was about to say sothing when the room door was suddenly flung open, and a staggering figure rushed in, collapsing by the bed.

"Luke..." ca a voice so suppressed it seed on the verge of breaking down. Ann Vaughn glanced at her curiously and realized the woman looked familiar.

Wasn’t this the other double-award-winning actress who shared the title of "Goddess of the Era" with Juliana Jacobs?

Her na seed to be... Quinn.

The reason she rembered this actress was because of the sensational "Actress Assault" incident recently.

"Don’t be sad, Luke is fine now, Dr. Vaughn healed him. I was just about to thank her," Silas Kane handed a handkerchief to Quinn, who was sobbing at the bedside, comforting her.

Quinn was first stunned, then gritted her teeth, "Don’t lie to , I haven’t settled the score of you knocking out just now!"

Silas Kane was sowhat embarrassed, "I was just worried you might do sothing irrational."

Despite explaining for a while, Silas Kane didn’t manage to make Quinn understand that Luke was indeed okay.

"Ms. Bellamy, President Kane is telling the truth. The patient will wake up in two days, and you can shed tears of joy then," Ann Vaughn said with a gentle smile.

Silas Kane was about to continue persuading, but Quinn imdiately broke into a smile upon hearing Ann Vaughn’s words.

"You’re a pretty young lady, I trust you wouldn’t lie to ."

Silas Kane: "..."

Once it was confird Luke was fine, Quinn and Silas Kane focused their attention on Ann Vaughn, enthusiastically inviting her to stay for a al.

Ann Vaughn thought for a mont and agreed.

The rectangular dining table was filled with exquisite dishes.

"Eat more, girls look better with a bit more weight, you’re too thin," Quinn seed eager to pile all the dishes onto Ann Vaughn’s plate, her enthusiasm almost overwhelming.

"Ms. Bellamy, you eat too, don’t mind ," Ann Vaughn said with a mix of amusent and helplessness, for so reason recalling the fear of being managed by Uncle Dexter at Cyrus’s villa.

She really wasn’t that thin, why did everyone want her to gain weight?

Quinn gave a teasing look, "I’m much older than you, just call Claire, can I call you Annie?"

"Alright, Claire," Ann Vaughn agreed readily, making Quinn beam with joy.

Silas Kane silently ate beside them, suddenly feeling like a huge third wheel.

"Annie, Claire is really grateful to you." Halfway through the al, Quinn’s eyes turned red again, "My sister left only her son Luke, if he were gone, I couldn’t bear the guilt."

"When the hospital told us to prepare for Luke’s passing, I almost beat to death the doctor who secretly called him a shortlived child! That bastard should see that Luke will not only live long but is blessed with great fortune!"

She cried and laughed, appearing haggard. Her red eyes made her look far less glamorous than on screen.

But Ann Vaughn thought, she looked very beautiful at that mont.

Though Luke was not her biological son, her heart for Luke was stronger than a birth mother’s.

"Alright, I’ve always said Luke’s accident wasn’t your fault, but you keep blaming yourself." Silas Kane sighed helplessly, handing her a handkerchief, "If Luke survives this, he’ll have lots of opportunities to be filial to his aunt."

His words made Quinn smile again, suddenly rembering sothing. She stood up and walked out, "Annie, wait for , I’m going to get sothing!"

Ann Vaughn chuckled, just about to grab her cup of juice when she noticed Silas Kane watching her with a searching gaze.

She frowned a little and asked in confusion, "President Kane?"

Silas Kane snapped back to his senses, apologetically looking at her, "I’m sorry, Annie. This may sound presumptuous, but you look very much like soone I once knew."

This was the second ti Ann Vaughn had heard this statent.

The first was from Eli Sheridan, who said she resembled his late mother sowhat, but with a completely different temperant.

However, similar things and similar people are quite common.

Ann Vaughn smiled lightly, not responding to Silas Kane’s statent.

Silas Kane also felt it was quite rude to stare at a young lady like that, so he urged her to eat more, "Have so more, you’re too thin."

Ann Vaughn: !!!

Is this joke ever going to end??

"And you can just call Levitt, no need for formalities. Anyti you need dicinal materials, feel free to visit The Gilded Pavilion."

Ann Vaughn was about to refuse the suggestion of calling Silas Kane "Levitt" since his age was indeed intimidating, making it feel like teasing him.

But upon hearing the last sentence, she changed her tone, "Alright, Levitt!"
