The poor little guy has always been filled with the idea by Walt from next door, who doesn’t like school, that "kindergarten" is as scary as prison, where once you go in, you can’t get out, won’t have enough to eat, won’t be warm enough, and will get hit.

Listening to this, Annie almost couldn’t hold back her laughter. Even her own baby has sothing to be afraid of!

"Kenny, kindergarten is a place to learn. There are many kids just like you there. If you don’t go to kindergarten, it would be such a sha," Annie coaxed.

Kenny’s soft little cheeks scrunched up in reluctance.

Going to kindergarten wasn’t part of his plan. If he wished, he could easily obtain certificates from top academies; he didn’t want to waste his ti on such things.

After all, this place is his territory. What if Mommy accidentally runs into him and he isn’t aware...

"Mommy, Mommy~" Kenny clung to Annie’s neck and started whining.

Annie almost softened and said he didn’t have to go to kindergarten, but Kenny was already the right age to go.

"If Kenny goes to kindergarten like a good boy, Mommy will tell you an extra story every night, okay?"

"..." Kenny looked at Annie’s rare determined expression and sighed inwardly, having no choice but to compromise, "Two stories."

With him around, no one could think of harming Mommy anymore!

"What a good boy Kenny is!"

With that agreent, Annie quickly took Kenny to complete enrollnt procedures, bought a small backpack and stationery, and arranged for kindergarten to start.

On the day Kenny was supposed to go to kindergarten, Annie even stuffed so snacks into his small backpack, saying it would help him make friends.

Kenny was a bit helpless; why was his mommy more nervous than him?

After watching Kenny being led into kindergarten by the principal, Annie finally returned to the car and drove to Frostfall Road.

Her studio was almost set up, and Sutton Jennings had helped with the licensing, which ca through yesterday.

Although it wasn’t the bustling scene of her old clinic, Annie was quite content with it for now.

Villa No. 28, Frostfall Road.

Annie parked the car and walked towards the villa.

The patient had already given instructions in advance, allowing Annie to pass unobstructed all the way to the third floor.

"Dr. Vaughn, our master is playing chess with a friend; he instructed us to let you in directly once you arrive." The servant opened the bedroom door and invited Annie in.

As soon as the door opened, a strong sll of dicine filled the air, a mix of Western dicine and Chinese dicine dregs, lingering for quite so ti.

Annie remained unfazed and walked into the bedroom, seeing an elderly man in poor spirits sitting on the bed. The chessboard was placed on the table, yet another person was nowhere to be seen.

"Old sir." Annie walked over and greeted.

"Are you Doctor Aquarelle?" the elder stroked his greying beard and looked at Annie with a scrutinizing gaze, "I didn’t expect the legendary Divine Doctor who can bring the dead back to life to be so young."

Annie smiled amiably, "Old sir, that’s highly exaggerated by outsiders. I’ve already read the post you sent a month ago; allow to take your pulse first."

Indeed, it was a month ago.

Besides researching virus antidotes—this secret identity couldn’t be revealed—Annie used the identity of "Aquarelle" to heal and treat patients.

Coincidentally, most of the people she treated were quite prestigious. After rejecting high rewards multiple tis, they began promoting her instead.

Thus, the influence of "Aquarelle," though not as significant as the international shock she stirred, was still undeniable.

Annie placed her fingers on the elderly man’s withered wrist to examine closely.

After a mont, Annie withdrew her hand and said to him, "Old sir, there is actually no significant problem with your body; predominantly, it’s due to excess anger."

"Oh? How so?"

"There is a saying: anger harms the liver; joy harms the heart; worry harms the lungs; sadness harms the spleen; fear harms the kidneys. You shouldn’t underestimate the impact of these issues, especially considering you donated a third of your liver when you were young, correct?"

Unexpectedly, Annie had rely placed and removed her hands, and she had discovered the matter of his past liver donation.

The elder’s gaze at Annie imdiately turned inscrutable, with no trace of disbelief left, "Dr. Vaughn, do you think my illness can be cured?"

"It’s not difficult. I will prescribe you so dicine. First, take it for half a month and try to avoid anger. You’ll recover soon." Annie nodded and went to the table to write a prescription.

The old man’s illness wasn’t exactly severe but should be handled seriously, hence Annie prescribed a larger quantity.

"Please take it on schedule, and I wish you a quick recovery," Annie reminded before leaving.

The old man nodded with a smile, assuring her.

Yet what Annie didn’t know was that as soon as she left, another person imdiately returned to the room, sat by the bedside, and resud arranging the chess table.

"I saw you watching for a while there; why didn’t you co out?" questioned the elder, glancing at his friend puzzlingly.

"Seeing that girl made feel uneasy," Elder Saxon hesitated with a chess piece, sounding rather troubled, "Four years ago, she saved my life, it’s an enormous favor."

"If I continue hiding everything from her, I’d be disrespecting the favor of saving my life. Better not et, to avoid being caught in anyway."

Hearing this, the elder frowned, "If what you’re hiding from that girl is sothing good, I certainly would speak against you. But if you’re hiding it for her own good, perhaps keeping it hidden is a form of fulfillnt."

"Let’s hope that’s the case."

Initially, Annie was worried Kenny would not adapt to kindergarten life, yet unexpectedly, the little guy adjusted quite well—

The snacks she packed were all eaten; looks like he made quite a few friends.

Kenny saw his mom’s delighted expression and didn’t have the heart to tell her that he used the snacks to win over kids.

Annie’s studio has gradually gotten on track; the patients she attended to were all who sent posts before, under the na of "Aquarelle."

Once these patients were healed, naturally, the studio’s reputation would stabilize.

In the blink of an eye, the date Annie marked in red on the calendar approached.

After finishing a bowl of dicinal congee, Annie waited for Kenny to bath, then slipped downstairs into Susie’s car.

"Hey girl, although thinking this way is quite unethical, I can’t help getting excited knowing you’re going to stick it to the most powerful man in S Country for free; what should I do?"

From initial disbelief, Susie had now begun teasing.

Annie’s lips twitched at the corner, rembering she hadn’t had ice cream for days, adding to her languor.

"Though saying it like that isn’t wrong, you better lose that mischievous grin." Then, Annie leaned back, "Susie, what’s the story between you and Silas?"

Susie’s smile froze montarily, and her voice dropped, "Nothing much; he’s getting engaged to Leona Chambers next month, there’s no possibility for us anymore."
