Ann Vaughn shook her head slightly, "Just call my na. Early-stage breast cancer can be cured through surgery, so you don’t have to worry too much."

Upon hearing this, Juliana Jacobs was more than just shocked.

She initially thought Ann Vaughn only noticed that she was ill, but didn’t expect her to identify the exact illness.

If she hadn’t received the physical examination report recently, she might have suspected Ann Vaughn of colluding with her attending doctor!

Moreover, Juliana Jacobs rembered that Ann Vaughn had previously appeared on a popular traditional Chinese dicine show. She was from the Western dicine faction and thus had little regard for Chinese dicine. However, she’s now changed her mind.

"If it weren’t for your kind reminder, I probably wouldn’t know there’s a big hidden ailnt in my body." Juliana Jacobs sincerely thanked Ann Vaughn, "I truly can’t imagine, if sothing happens to , what would happen to my daughter..."

"I rember you wanted to terminate your contract with Imperial Entertainnt, seemingly because of your daughter?" Ann Vaughn asked with a bit of curiosity.

From the conversation she heard last ti in Cyrus Hawthorne’s office, Juliana Jacobs’ daughter should be suffering from a serious illness.

ntioning this, Juliana Jacobs’ beautiful face darkened a bit. Although she didn’t want to say too much, Ann Vaughn had helped her greatly; thus, she had nothing to hide.

Juliana Jacobs’ daughter’s health had been deteriorating for over a year, with mysterious bruises occasionally appearing on her body.

However, the exam results were mostly similar; aside from so nutritional deficiencies, there was nothing abnormal.

Juliana Jacobs relaxed after hearing from the doctor that there was no issue, and with her busy filming schedule, she left her daughter with the nanny.

Until two months ago, when she returned ho after wrapping up filming, she saw her daughter’s condition worsen, banging her head against the wall, and realized how serious the illness was.

"I took my daughter to foreign hospitals for check-ups, but still couldn’t find anything." Juliana Jacobs trembled slightly, covering her eyes in despair.

Ann Vaughn listened to Juliana Jacobs’ description, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowing.

This symptom seed less like an illness, and more like... a curse.

She remained silent for a long ti. After Juliana Jacobs cald down, she looked up to see Ann Vaughn in a mont of realization, which made her heart race.

"Cyrus... Annie, did you discover sothing?"

As soon as the words left her mouth, Juliana Jacobs felt sowhat hopeless. How could Ann Vaughn figure sothing out just from a few words without even seeing her daughter?

Unexpectedly, Ann Vaughn nodded, "Yes, but the specific issue needs to examine your daughter to be certain."

Hope imdiately ignited in Juliana Jacobs’ eyes as she held Ann Vaughn’s hand, pleading, "Annie, I’m begging you to save my daughter. She’s still young, and I’m really out of options..."

"Don’t worry, Miss Giles, I want to help you too, just..." Ann Vaughn glanced with so difficulty at the clear floor-to-ceiling windows outside the living room, "I can’t leave this estate."

"Don’t worry about that, leave it to !"

Half an hour later, Ann Vaughn was in Juliana Jacobs’ car, smoothly leaving the private estate.

Even Ann Vaughn hadn’t anticipated that Juliana Jacobs would make such a sacrifice just to persuade Cyrus Hawthorne to let her leave the estate for a day.

She was willing to sign a lifelong contract with Imperial Entertainnt, just to secure this one day.

Ann Vaughn suddenly felt a tinge of envy towards Sharon Jacobs, for she had a good mother.

But—

What was Cyrus Hawthorne’s reason for not agreeing to Juliana Jacobs’ contract termination?

She didn’t think that Cyrus Hawthorne, owning half of S Country’s wealth, would make such a decision solely for the benefits Juliana Jacobs could bring.

There must be another reason.

Lost in thought, they arrived at Juliana Jacobs’ house.

It was a sweet European-style villa, with a small garden outside, but the flowers had all wilted, seemingly left unattended for a long ti.

"My daughter fell in love with this place at first sight. She personally cared for the gardenias planted here, ever since..." Juliana Jacobs led Ann Vaughn into the house, leaving the latter part unsaid.

But Ann Vaughn understood; since her daughter fell ill, those flowers had been neglected.

Upstairs, Ann Vaughn saw Juliana Jacobs’ daughter, Sharon, in a princess-thed room.

"Stagnation in the ridian causing bloating, poor circulation in the Governor Vessel..." Ann Vaughn took Sharon’s pulse, then lifted her clothes to examine the bruises, pressing them with her fingers.

The unconscious Sharon furrowed her brows slightly.

"It’s indeed a curse."

"A curse?" Juliana Jacobs was shocked. Having spent many years in the entertainnt industry, she heard of such things, but never imagined her daughter wasn’t sick but cursed!

These curses are easily imposed but extracting them is as difficult as climbing a mountain.

Right then, Juliana Jacobs felt her heart tighten with pain.

Ann Vaughn withdrew her hand, nodding, "The curse has been dormant in her body for too long. If delayed further, it would be hopeless. Luckily, there’s still a glimr of hope, though it might be troubleso."

"I need so herbs, please get them as soon as possible." As she spoke, Ann Vaughn recited a list of herbs.

Upon hearing, Juliana Jacobs knew her daughter could be saved and hurriedly went out to call her ex-husband to imdiately gather these items.

Upon returning to the room, Juliana Jacobs saw Ann Vaughn draw out dozens of Golden Needles from her sleeve. Then a phantom flashed before her eyes, and all the Golden Needles were inserted into several major acupuncture points on Sharon’s body.

Juliana Jacobs watched in shock.

The long needles pierced into the body, if anything went wrong...

However, given the circumstances, she could only trust Ann Vaughn. As she said, her daughter’s condition could only lead to death if further delayed. So why not let her try?

Ann Vaughn was unaware of Juliana Jacobs’ thoughts, fully concentrating on performing acupuncture on Sharon. This wasn’t her first encounter with a cursed patient, but the curse on Sharon was evidently more challenging.

Fine sweat appeared on Ann Vaughn’s forehead, her stamina waning, yet her spiritual power remained intensely focused.

Then, she spotted a small swelling beneath Sharon’s collarbone, imdiately piercing it with her only Golden Needle left, deftly maneuvering it, then swiftly directing it into a prepared cup.

"It’s done." Ann Vaughn glanced at the dead curse insect in the cup, gently exhaling.

At that mont, Sharon’s initially pale face gradually regained so color, and her previously pained expression disappeared.

Juliana Jacobs watched in sheer joy, just as she was about to ask sothing, her ex-husband hurriedly arrived with the herbs, "Juliana, why did you urgently need these herbs?"
