"Are you going to tell where you went to?" Zhang Liling inquired while peering Fang Bingwen's face
Staring at the man who promised he wouldn't be long before leaving the house in the morning, she couldn't help but not wait to get a response from him.
He promised to return in ti, but he ended up making in ti for the dinner he promised her. She was really very curious now hence the reason she was questioning him as soon as they placed their food order.
"Don't you want to enjoy the romantic dinner?" Fang Bingwen asked with a small smile playing at the corner of his lips.
He knew she couldn't wait, but he couldn't just go ahead and began to talk just like that even though she deserved an imdiate explanation.
He didn't want to ruin her dinner.
"What romantic dinner after you made like this?" Zhang Liling queried while pouting her lips
He dared to leave her all alone for several hours and then co ho without offering any explanation to her, how did he think she could enjoy any Romance at the mont?
It seems like he didn't know how a woman's emotion worked.
"How did I make ?" He asked, but a glare from her caused him to chuckle heartily.
"Alright, I know my wrong now. I'm sorry." He apologized and quickly explained while asking for her understanding at the sa ti.
"What I have to talk to you about is very sensitive. Wait till we get back."
"Really?" Zhang Liling probed.
"Mmmm..." He admitted with a nod.
"Fine." She said as she finally let him off.
If what they were going to talk about was very important, then she could wait till they got ho.
Who knows if she might get annoyed at the end. She would like to enjoy a peaceful dinner with him.
Seeing that she agreed, he changed the topic and chatted about the tales of the city of love as their food was served.
"Did you see yourself to be different amongst your peers when you started schooling?" Fang Bingwen asked with a curious gaze.
He wanted to know all her thoughts in growing up in Paris.
He was very curious about her life here although they had only talked about it before, but on the surface.
"I already knew who I was and where I was from because my mum made sure to educate before I started attending kindergarten. It wasn't hard I promise you."
Sending a piece of steak into her mouth, she chewed on it she continued.
"What was hard, was watching my mother struggle to feed us and send to a good school. But as I entered high school, things got better."
Recalling the past, she remained every grateful to her mother who did everything she could to give her the best.
"Everyone would think you were a princess given who your father is, and who your mother is now." Fang Bingwen said with a smile.
Anyone that saw Zhang Liling now would think she was a princess who have all her needs t before they could arise not knowing that she had witnessed a fair amount of suffering while growing up.
Yes, she was fortunate to have a mother who toiled night and day to pave the way for a good future for her. That, she was very proud of.
"I don't care what they think, but they should be careful about learning the lies they spread. I am always impatient."
"What, are you going to pick a fight with them?" He asked while staring straight into his eyes.
He looked as if he was waiting for her to say 'yes' just so he could pull her ears like a child. Fortunately, Liling was smart enough not to fall into the trap.
As they got ho from the date, Fang Bingwen was the first person to bring up the matter he had gone out to take care of as he did not want her to remind him about it.
"I went to see your Zhang family's housekeeper." He said while walking into the room, following her behind like a child.
"What?" Instantly, Zhang Liling turned her back with a shocked expression on her face. 'Housekeeper Cha?'
"Your stepmother is really sothing, sending her secretary to co and sabotage your makeup products. Tsk...tsk... What a crazy woman." He revealed while sitting on the bed and unbuttoning his shirt.
"Shi Wenqian did what?" Zhang Liling was shocked beyond asure as she stood at the sa spot, her eyes threatening to produce lasers.
She was so angry that her entire face was twisted in a frown.
Seeing that look on her face, Fang Bingwen thought it wise of him to not have taken her with him in the first place.
She would have surely caused a commotion.
"Sit next to and I will explain everything."
Though she was impatient, she ended up sitting next to him to hear the rest of the news he brought with her.
Ten minutes later, her eyes were wide in shock. "Did she really put her hands in sothing like that?" She asked in shock.
"Yes. That woman told and I don't doubt it since I found so traces a while ago. Initially, I had thought she was remotely involved but who knew she was the ring leader of that kind of group." Fang Bingwen revealed further.
The more Zhang Liling heard, the more she wanted to unhear those revelation.
"Should I be thanking God she didn't take my life?"
Thinking back to those tis she lived in the Zhang family and her stepmother was busy running a dirty and inhumane business like that, Zhang Liling felt lucky.
Truly, Shi Wenqian had the ans to kill her, but she didn't.
'Why did she let live?' Zhang Liling couldn't help but wonder.
Knowing the kind of thoughts she had in her head, Fang Bingwen replied to them.
"Shi Wenqian didn't dare to touch your life because she didn't have the guts. What do you think it would an for you to join the Zhang family and end up dying even if it was through an accident?"
