Zhang Liling didn't say a word without Mr. Fang's approval. She also managed to remain calm and allowed his scrutinizing gaze to fall on her despite her uneasiness.
Who knew what his verdict was going to be?
When Bolin and Chunali felt, they were coming to the end of their patience, Mr. Fang's deep baritone voice rang out.
"Have you by any chance done a housekeeping job before?"
There was another level of silence after that question was asked. There were only sounds of hushed breathing in the space.
Bolin and Chuanli didn't know what Mr. Fang was up to, especially Chuanli. He knew that Mr. Fang was aware of the fact that Zhang Liling must have lied about being a housekeeper on her resu, so what was his intention by purposely asking that question?
Zhang Liling fiddled with her fingers and slowly t Mr. Fang's gaze. She was conflicted about telling the truth or not.
If she had been reduced to a servant in the Zhang family while living with them, she would have boldly said she had done the job of a housekeeper, but that wasn't the case as the state of bullying didn't degrade to that level.
Guessing that he might already know so things, she decided against lying, and her hunch was right because Chuanli gave her a kind reminder.
"Miss Zhang, don't keep Mr. Fang waiting, just tell him the truth."
Mr. Fang and Bolin shot a glance at him, and he closed his mouth. They both knew he was giving her a hint because if she dared to lie, she would be driven away that very night.
Zhang Liling didn't see the silent communication that happened amongst the 3 n in the room because, at one point, she had moved her gaze to the floor.
Slowly exhaling, she gathered courage and shifted her gaze back to Mr. Fang who seed to be about to lose the last shred of patience he had.
She has decided to say the truth not minding if she would be eventually fired. Lying had more dire consequences, hence she chose the truth.
"No, Mr. Fang. But I have the knowledge now."
Yes, she hasn't done the job of a housekeeper, but she had the knowledge after studying on the internet all day.
Bolin and Chuanli released a deep sigh of relief for her sake without knowing. It looks like they were worried about her.
Mr. Fang nodded and leaned back in his seat in a relaxed manner. His gaze seed less tense now, which ant he was a bit satisfied.
"Why did you co here to be my housekeeper when you have zero experience?"
Bolin and Chuanli shifted their gazes from Mr. Fang to Zhang Liling, as they were curiously waiting for her answer.
Imdiately Zhang Liling heard that question, her eyes beca teary and tears were already threatening to drop from her eyes, but she tried to compose herself.
The n in the room didn't know what she was getting at, and could only watch her patiently.
"Mr. Fang, I told you that I needed your help as I'm too young to die. My stepmother and her children bully , and my father doesn't pay attention to .
My mother doesn't live in country S, she stays in Paris, and the earliest I can reunite with her will be after my graduation. Please, Mr. Fang, let stay here and work as your housekeeper."
'Just give 2 months to win over your favor.' Zhang Liling thought in her heart.
If Mr. Fang would allow her to stay at his place for the next 2 months, she would have to work with that duration to make him fall for her or win over him, so she could stay a bit longer.
Chuanli felt a little pity for her and nodded. "You are indeed too young to die."
Bolin seed to have only a little bit of grudge left toward her, but he hasn't completely forgiven her because she used tricks to find her way in.
Mr. Fang was unmoved by her touching story. He had a lot of questions for her, but he couldn't bear losing another minute on her matter, as he had already lost 2 hours.
"You said you are being bullied by your stepmother and neglected by your father, I will confirm this. For now, go on with your work here."
Zhang Liling beca a little excited, but it died down with his next statent.

"Give her the detailed rules to follow."
Bolin quickly reacted to that instruction. "Sir, she has the contract, and she has read the rules written there."
Mr. Fang glared daggers at him and said while pointing a finger at Zhang Liling who had a bit smile on her face,
"Does she look trustworthy to you? I asked for water to take my drugs, and she brought a bottle of chilled water. Apart from studying and having good grades, I don't think there is any other thing she is good at."
'I have good looks, and I am also good at falling in love with you.' Zhang Liling shalessly thought to herself.
Glancing at the bottle of slightly chilled water on his desk, Bolin saw the droplets of water surrounding it and shifted a powerless gaze to Zhang Liling as he indeed felt that she still had a lot to learn.
"Miss Zhang please co with ."
If he was going to personally install the rules into her head, then it shouldn't be in Mr. Fang's study.
Zhang Liling bowed slightly and thanked Mr. Fang for giving her life another chance before turning to follow Bolin out with a hidden full blooming happiness in her heart when Chuanli stopped her.
"Miss Zhang, I have a form for you to fill, and I would be needing an audience with you soon."
Mr. Fang knew what he was up to and glared daggers at him, but he pretended not to feel that strong gaze and walked to the printing machine not too far from his desk to print sothing from his phone.
