Since Tungi started her internship at Zhang corp, she has been sending money back ho to her parents who wouldn't let her be.
She already wasn't getting paid enough to live a comfortable life, and they were already squeezing the little one she could save, out of her hands.
"Maybe it's ti to set so rules to them." Zhang Liling suggested.
"Every month, you give almost 50% of your earnings to them, leaving 60-65% for your bills which is not right. At this day and age, it is not right to be without savings as anything could happen at any ti." She advised with her gaze resting on her face.
"I really have to start hardening my heart. I know that my parents did their best to raise and pay my school fees, but that doesn't call for this. It's not like I'm undergoing so kind of punishnt."
A soft sigh escaped Tungi's lips. She was tired, but what could she do.
"It's not bad to support family, but using your money to give your brother a comfortable life while you sweat for it, it's not right. You haven't even risen, and they are already dragging you down."
Zhang Liling seed annoyed with the whole family problems Tungi was shouldering.
If her money was only used to support her brother's education, they would have been better, but to use her family to get him everything he wanted, was inhumane.
Sotis, Zhang Liling wished that their lives could be exchanged, so she could teach her family a very big lesson if Tungi didn't have the kind of heart to do that.
What were friends for? Of course it was for situations like this.
"Liling, I'd rather I enjoyed the rest of my al. Thoughts about my family is provoking." Tungi confessed with a slight frown as she poked her steak with the fork.
Realizing that she had ruined a bit part of their al with an uncomfortable topic, Zhang Liling hurriedly apologized by pouring her so wine.
"Tell , is there any new relationship on the way?" She probed with a playful smirk playing at the corners of her lips as she hinted at sothing.
Staring at her, Tungi erupted in laughter. "Hahahaha..."
"What are you laughing, I asked a question." Zhang Liling said as she poured so wine into her glass before putting the bottle down.
"You are funny. Do I look like I have the ti to date? Liling, I do not. I am barely survivng with my job plus the stress from my family."
Waving her thumb finger in front of her, she added, "I can't afford to be in any relationship at the mont. There is no longer space in my head to tolerate another stress."
But Liling did not agree with her.
"You need a little romance to ease the stress accumulated from work and family."
Staring at her with amused expression on her face, Tungi asked, "And when this romantic relationship starts stressing , what will I rely on?"
Picking up her wine glass to take a few sips from it, Zhang Liling replied while giving her a side glance.
"Friendship. You can rely on when that ti cos." She said, giving her the idea of their relationship.
It was just a reminder that she didn't have any excuse to not date.of a ti ca when she was feeling stressed from her Family, work, and boyfriend, she could always co to her to get relieved.
Tungi laughed over her statent, and was tempted to toy with her by asking 'What if I had a problem with you as well?' but she refrained for doing so.
But as the smile on her face relaxed, she suddenly thought of sothing as her eyes squinted.
"Liling, this one you are talking about having a boyfriend, do you have one?" She voiced her thoughts without warning.
Instantly, Zhang Liling's lips curved upwards, as the corners of her eyes wrinkled.
Her lips parted slightly, and unable to hide her happiness at the thought of Mr. Fang being her boyfriend, she picked up her wine glass to hide w bit if her joy.
"What made you think so?" She asked, feinging ignorance while at the sa ti, not denying her thoughts.
'What made think so? Your expressions and gestures says everything.'
Ignoring her question, Tungi said with a knowing smile, "Liling, you have a boyfriend?"
At her question, Zhang Liling put down her glass as a smirk spread across her face. Still, she refused to give a response, allowing her to guess the answer herself.
Understanding that she was right with her guess, Tungi began to pester her for answers.
"Liling, you are really dating?"
"Since when?"
"Who is your boyfriend?"
"Where is he from?"
"Is he handso?"
"Is he rich?"
"Who else knows about this?"
No matter how many questions cane flooding from her lips, Zhang Liling refused to give an answer, except for two particular question which she felt would divert her attention to another thought.
To the questions, 'Is he rich? Is he handso ' Zhang Liling replied.
"My boyfriend is rich, and he is so handso. Don't worry, you will testify to it once I officially introduce you to him."
"And when will that be?" Tungi asked impatiently as she drumd her palms on the table thrice.
She could tell that her good friend didn't want to divulge any more information concerning the man she was dating, and that only made her insides to cringe.
So since she couldn't get so important information to her man now, she could only ask for the day she would be able to know more about him.
"Calm down, I will tell you soon. Maybe in a few days in the least." Zhang Liling said with a suggestive smile that annoyed Tungi.
"Damm!" The latter exclaid as she slamd her palms on the table in annoyance.
Fortunately, the guests that were a little startled that turned their heads in their direction, glanced back to their table a fe monts later.
"I feel like tearing you apart at the mont." Tungi confessed as she imdiately picked up her wine glass and downed the remaining content into her mouth.
