The next ti Zhang Liling woke up, it was due to her stomach growling. She was hungry.
As she helped herself to sit up on the bed, she could no longer feel her heartbeats in her head anymore.
"The headache is gone!" She smiled in satisfaction before her gaze slowly ca to rest on her body again after feeling a little discomfort.
She was still in the dress from last night, and her breasts hurt from being held in a bra and tight dress for so many hours.
That discomfort was what brought so important questions back to her head.
'How did I co back last night? How did I get into my room last night?'
Different questions were running through her remind until her train of thoughts were pulled back by the ringing from her phone.
She had to co back to reality to figure out where her phone was, and that was when she traced the sound to the table.
The plate and glass of water was still there, but she ignored them and went for her pink handbag to take out her phone.
Pulling her phone from her bag, she glanced at the screen and smiled before going back to her bed to sit.
"Tungi?" She called out as soon as she answered the call.
A sigh of relief left Tungi's lips as soon as she heard Zhang Liling's voice. She has been worried about her safety since last night. "Liling, are you fine?"
"Why wouldn't I be fine?" Zhang Liling asked with a smile, and then rembered that she was with Tungi last night, and so she must know who took her back ho.
But more than that, she was more worried about exposing the fact that she worked for Mr. Fang and was living in his house.
Surely, Tungi wouldn't have taken her back to Mr. Fang's villa last night, would she?
"I'm glad that you are fine. I felt so guilty for letting a stranger take you away last night without following," Tungi let out another sigh of relief as she dried her wet hair with a towel, using one hand.
"A stranger! What stranger are you talking about?" Zhang Liling asked imdiately finding the right opportunity to know about the person that took her back ho.
Tungi frowned and hurriedly replied, "Your Dr. Li took you away. Wait! Are you just waking up? Don't you rember what happened last night? Are you alright, did he do anything to you?"
As soon as Zhang Liling heard 'Dr. Li' the remaining questions from Tungi, faded into the background.
Now that she has found out who took her ho, the mories from last night started flooding into her head. But a few of them were blurry.
She could rember being helped into the car by soone. Later, she woke up to argue with Chuanli about drinking alcohol. Also, Bolin was in the car, and he was the one driving.
They took her back ho and she saw Mr. Fang standing outside with a glare directed at her. She could rember him being angry, and then she running towards his direction to embrace him.
Zhang Liling gasped in shock and quickly stopped her mories there.
"What?! Did I hug Mr. Fang last night?!" She asked with widened eyes while pointing a finger to herself.
She still looked out of it with what she rembered. Suddenly, she heard Tungi's loud voice calling for her from the other end of the phone.
"Zhang Liling are you there?!"
It was just now she realised that she was still on a call with Tungi. Having no desire whatsoever to continue having a conversation with her because of the shock she just experienced, she called it quits.
"Tungi, I will speak to you later!" She said urgently and ended the call directly before dropping her phone on the bed.
Zhang Liling didn't dare to breathe now as she thought back to what other dreadful things she did last night.
Mr. Fang asked her not to drink last night, but she did that. She was asked to get back ho by 9 pm, but she made Chuanli and Bolin co bring her back in her drunken state.
Not just that, she dared to hug Mr. Fang in front of them. What other things did I do last night?!
Zhang Liling didn't dare to search her mories as she went ahead to cry and scold herself, while pulling her hair and kicking her legs in the process.
She was only a few monts away from losing her mind.
"Mr. Fang is not going to forgive this!" She cried out and slowly dropped her back on the bed while looking up at the POP.
She was feeling so guilty, like she had committed the worst cri ever. Now, she would have to face Mr. Fang and get punished.
"I an, I committed such atrocities last night, and I was still given hangover pills and soup..."
Zhang Liling was trying to understand the aning of that action until a voice spoke in her head, "Mr. Fang wants you to recover quickly so he can punish you!"
She ended up crying out again as she let her thoughts go back to the mories of last night. Since she was going to be punished, it wouldn't change anything, so she had better see what other outrageous cris she committed.
Slowly letting her train of thoughts go back to last night, she could see Chuanli trying to pull her away from Mr. Fang's embrace but she refused to leave and instead, clung tightly to his body.
The more she recalled, the more she accepted that she deserved to be killed.
"Zhang Liling who gave birth to you?!" She questioned her origins while crying in her head. She just knew that no one could save her now.
Dr. Li had said he would help her get Mr. Fang's heart only if she stopped causing trouble and now, it looked like she would never get that opportunity again.
'Liling look what you madness has landed you into!' She scolded herself.
"Hope I didn't kiss Mr. Fang this ti around, otherwise, he would not leave my body intact after killing ?!"
Thinking this far, she didn't dare to go back into her mories again. And for the rest of the day, she stayed in her room, refusing to co out.
It was during lunch ti when she couldn't take the hunger that the housekeeper ca to check up on her.
"Miss Zhang, are you not feeling well? You skipped breakfast and now it's almost past lunch. You also haven't done anything today. Let remind you that Mr. Fang will not tolerate you slacking off."
Hearing Mr. Fang's na, Zhang Liling sprang up from her bed and asked imdiately, "Ms. Chu, did Mr. Fang ask for ?"
The housekeeper's brows knitted in a frown. "Why would Mr. Fang ask about you? He is already so busy in his study, but if you don't co out soon, he would surely rember you!"
