"Grandma, why are you interested in my servant?" Mr. Fang asked imdiately.
He didn't want to give ti for her imagination to run wild, because she was very good at it.
"Oh! That was your servant earlier?" The old lady's excitent died down. Her tone sounded disappointed.
"Do you think my girlfriend would address so formally?" Mr. Fang retorted.
Thinking about that, Old lady Fang believed him and let out a sigh.
"Wenwen, you need to think about dating soone even if you are not ready to settle down. When last did you et a woman outside of work? I am really concerned that you may forget how to woo a woman and treat her right." The old lady complained.
Her grandson has dated before, but the relationship never lasted. At a ti, she thought he was just playing around, but when he ca back complaining a lot about the won, more especially about how the sll, she knew he was serious.
She hoped that he would one day stop being picky and settle down with a good woman.
Mr. Fang did not agree with his old lady's concern, and imdiately defended himself. "Grandma, I don't need practice in order to treat a woman right. Being a good person cos from within, you don't have to learn it unless you were not that kind of person from the beginning."
"See you speaking like you know how to treat one right? Which woman would believe you?" The old lady chided him dotingly.
Finally a smile cracked on the cold face, as the deep voice teased, "A woman like you."
"This boy!"
The old lady couldn't help but to blush after being left helpless by his speech.
Mr. Fang truly knew how to get his old lady, and used the trick. Or maybe he was just trying to lighten the mood.
"Wenwen, don't tease this old lady. I will not force you to settle down, I will only keep reminding you. But if I don't see any progress, I will have to set up a date for you. Eat healthily!"
That was all Mr. Fang heard before the old lady hung up on him.
Sighing, he put down his phone before taking off his glasses and weaving his fingers through his hair.
He was tired and needed a break.
Soon, the final exams started, and Zhang Liling remained forever grateful to Mr. Fang for lifting the heavy burden away from her.
At the Zhang family, Zhang Renshu overheard Shi Wenqian asking Zhang Mingyu to eat healthy food and stop munching on unhealthy snacks.
He also heard her instructing the servants on the kind of diet he had to strictly follow for the period his final exams would last, and asked them to prepare them for him.
As for snacks, surely, there had to be so served to him occasionally apart from fresh fruits. And for that, she ordered healthy snacks to be made for him.
Hearing her pass this heartwarming instructions just so their son could feed properly and focus on his studies, Zhang Renshu instinctively thought about Zhang Liling, and if she was feeding properly.
Since she was not living with them, he could not tell, and had to find out by himself.
Going back to his study, he picked up his phone and dialled her contact.
At the first ring, Zhang Liling answered the call.
Zhang Renshu was used to not showing affection, so he just went on to ask if she was studying and eating properly.
Zhang Liling's response sounded dull, which made him think that she must be exhausted.
Zhang Renshu knew how smart Zhang Liling was, and how hard she works, so even if she was away from his sight and she sounded tired over the phone, he still believed that she has been studying and was just tired.
"Why not just move back ho so the servants can prepare healthy food and snacks for you, you can even go to the spa for a massage?" He asked with a frown.
Imdiately those words left his lips, a bit of the tiredness Zhang Liling was feeling, weared off.
"Dad, do you think I will be well taken care off in that house?" She asked in a strong tone.
It was as if she was asking him to check things out for himself and give her an honest response.
Zhang Renshu has never known all she had to go through while living in that house since he normally never cared.
,m Zhang Renshu remained calm for a few monts before saying, "If you don't want to co back, then remain there. I will just send you more money to order food from good places. I don't want your mother thinking that I took you from her to mistreat you at the end!"
After saying that, he advised her to continue studying hard. And not giving her the chance to speak, he ended the call.
Glancing at her phone, she put it down before moving her eyes back to her book.
Is not like she even had the energy to say anything to him.
She has been on a particular short topic for over 4 hours now, and she didn't seem to be getting anything into her head.
This was her 3rd ti of reversing the notes she made from her class lectures, but she still couldn't put anything into her head.
This was making her so tired and frustrated.
This was an example of the mont that tempted her to go and find Mr. Fang.
Not up to a minute after she put her phone down, it chid, signifying a notification on her phone as her screen lit up.
She carelessly glanced at her phone and saw it was a ssage from her bank.
She quickly picked the phone up, and opened the ssage. When she saw the content, she just smiled and put the phone back on her desk.
Her father had sent her a good amount of money, which automatically lightened her mood.
Now, she even got the courage to go and find Mr. Fang for help.
When she appeared in his study and stated the reason she ca to find him, he just glanced at her before asking her to sit, and then, went ahead to explain things to her.
To be sure that she understood, he asked her questions, before sending her away.
