'Why would Mr. Fang want to fire when I didn't do anything wrong?' This was the thought that was going through Zhang Liling's mind as she climbed up the stairs with a heavy heart.

Tears were already streaming down her eyes as she could not accept this injustice.

The last she rembered, she has been on her best behaviour apart from sleeping in the living room and watching TV late at night, but that wasn't enough to get her fired. So why would he want to fire her?

She refused to accept it. She felt betrayed by his actions.

She was going to find him, ask him what she did wrong before pleading with him.

How could she allow soone else to take her place when their relationship was progressing? At least he had showed signs of being accepting to her, so why would he want to change his mind now?

It would be very difficult to start a new and a different relationship with him if she leaves here without making a strong impact in his heart.

It would be a waste if she doesn't accomplish anything aningful, so she must do everything to not let him fire her, even if it ant kissing his feet.

With a bitter heart and with tears stained on her cheeks, she arrived in front of the door blocking them and turned the handle before pushing it open.

With her thoughts in disarray, she didn't think that he might be on call, eting, or working on an important plan when she barged in.

Also, she forgot the basic etiquette everyone should know, and that was knocking before entering a private space.

Opening the door, she stepped in and shut it behind her while calling out to him tearfully, "Mr. Fang!"

It was when she called out to him while staring at him with her blurry sight that she noticed the phone placed on his ear, but it was too late to regret.

Mr. Fang was too shocked to be displeased. Normally, he would have frowned and then go on to scold her for being rude and lacking in manners. But this ti around, things were different.

Initially he frowned, but when he glanced at her and saw the tears in her eyes, his annoyance turned to shock.

"Bingwen, who is that?" Old lady Fang who heard Zhang Liling's voice from the other end, asked in concern.

Mr. Fang finally reacted after hearing her voice. "Grandma, I will call you back." He said and directly ended the call to stop her from asking anymore questions, so he can face the woman he barged into his study in tears.

Putting his phone on his desk, he shifted his gaze to Zhang Liling and asked with furrowed brows, while wondering what must have happened to her, "What is it?"

Seeing that she had all his attention now, she stepped forward and only stopped when she was standing in front of his desk.

"Mr. Fang, why do you want to fire when I didn't do anything wrong? I know that I am not perfect, and stayed up last night and had to be woekn up by you for sleeping in the living room yesterday, but my offense doesn't require to be fired..."

While she was blabbering and shedding more tears, the frown on his face spread further.

'Who says I want to fire her?'

'Did she drink again? But I can't sniff any alcohol sll from her?'

'Did she hear sothing?'

'Where did get this idea from?'

Zhang Liling misunderstood the frown on his face and really thought that he was angry with her, and dropped her knees on the floor.

"Mr. Fang I'm really sorry, please don't fire ! If there is anything I'm not doing right, please tell one more ti. Is it the rules? I will morize them, but please don't fire !"

Mr. Fang felt an incoming headache. Now he was sure that Zhang Liling must have heard sothing sowhere, but misunderstood it completely.

Sohow, an idea ca to him and he asked her when he managed to get an opportunity when she paused in-between her speech, "Is Bolin here?"

'So, it's true?' That was all Zhang Liling thought after she nodded in response.

'That explains it' Mr. Fang thought.

Without warning, she broke out in another tears while sitting her butts on the floor.

She thought that it was really true that she was getting fired.

"Why are you crying? Why are you sitting on the floor?! Stand up and talk to properly! What nonsense have you been thinking about?!"

Mr. Fang was annoyed with her actions and couldn't help scolding her.

How could she be wasting his ti by wailing after misunderstanding the situation? He really wanted to sit her down and ask how she manages to get such ridiculous ideas from her head.

Zhang Liling felt more heartache when he scolded her. She didn't think that he has ever scolded her like that before. This was so painful.

Helping herself up, she wiped the tears from her eyes and just stood there with her gaze on him.

Seeing the state she was in, he felt helpless and could no longer allow her to continue misunderstanding the situation.

"Who told you that I was going to fire you?" He asked in a composed manner.

This question was like a bomb thrown into Zhang Liling's head, that reset her mories and thoughts.

Did anyone tell her that she was getting fired?

Thinking about it, no one told her that she was getting fired. But what does it an for soone else to take over your job?

Was she going to be assigned another job instead since it looked like from Mr. Fang's question that she wasn't going to be fired?

Did she misunderstand the whole situation?

Looking at her stand there with her teary gaze and refusing to say anything, Mr. Fang exhaled and pinched the space between his brows.

'This girl...'

Fixing a scrutinizing gaze on her, he asked, "Miss Zhang, who gave you the idea that I was going to fire you? Who told you that?"

Zhang Liling fiddled with her fingers and refused to et his scrutinizing gaze.

"I...I... I saw Mr. Bolin an...and an older wo..woman. I... I asked t..the butler about it, an...and he told the woman wa...was the new ho...houseke...keeper."
