Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud Chapter 81: Maeve Lane × Julian Fairchild!
"It’s really Sumr Ainsworth! She’s starring in ’Rivers and Mountains as Usual’? She’s the top star at TS dia!"
"Would she really show up if it wasn’t true?"
"Today was worth coming out for; I’ve already decided how I’ll write tomorrow’s news!"
Sumr Ainsworth stepped out of her van, surrounded by at least ten bodyguards, five on her left and five on her right. She wore a sun hat and large sunglasses, her hair in sexy waves, and her bright red lips looking captivating.
Maeve Lane watched her with interest. Previously, Sumr had always starred in low-budget TV dramas with little-known actors.
And lacking the status, she was seldom invited to red carpets or other banquets, so it was rare to see a truly famous actress.
This Sumr Ainsworth was the first trending star Maeve had seen up close, besides Sylvia Lane.
Sarah Sutton crossed her arms, casting an unfriendly look at Sumr. "Maeve, be careful—Sumr Ainsworth and Sylvia Lane are from the sa company."
Director Dayne was off with a few producers and screenwriters for interviews, leaving Sarah Sutton, Nina Quinn, and Maeve—just close friends—so Sarah spoke candidly.
Maeve lifted her eyelids and repeated, "TS International?"
"Yeah, that company has quite a bad reputation in the industry." Sarah Sutton comnted, "You can tell from Sylvia Lane—didn’t she often snatch your roles before? Sumr Ainsworth is no less complicated; any male actor she’s ever worked with ends up paired with her in the press."
Maeve raised her eyebrows and sure enough saw Sumr Ainsworth get out of the car and head straight for Julian Fairchild.
She lowered her voice, sounding slightly hoarse yet captivating, "Did she ever work with Julian Fairchild before?"
"Nope." Sarah Sutton, having been with MS Entertainnt long before Julian stepped into the industry, knew these things well. "You wouldn’t guess, right?"
"Mm."
Sumr Ainsworth’s beaming smile, paired with that look of surprise—who wouldn’t believe there’s sothing between her and Julian Fairchild?
Yet, ironically, this was their first collaboration.
Sarah Sutton frowned, "I bet right now, soone from her team is surely releasing a press statent."
Maeve Lane responded coolly with a "mm," watching as Sumr Ainsworth started conversing with Julian Fairchild.
"She’s tough to deal with." Sarah concluded, "But Julian Fairchild’s pairings hardly start and end with her."
Even though Maeve was the leading lady, her buzz was far from Julian Fairchild’s and Sumr Ainsworth’s; only a few dia outlets were interviewing her, and Sarah Sutton handled the sharper questions with ease.
Beside Sarah, Maeve Lane stood, faintly smiling, seldom speaking.
Before arriving, Sarah Sutton advised her: when faced with tough questions, just smile and stay silent.
Maeve Lane’s face could chill soone to the bone, and the casual curve of her lips had an undeniable impact when she looked at you.
After ushering several waves of dia away, Maeve and her companions finally enjoyed a brief respite.
Maeve planned to find a spot to nap, but Sarah Sutton grabbed her, speaking mysteriously, "Guess what I dug up about Sumr Ainsworth’s pairings?"
Excited, Sarah’s eyes sparkled, looking quite different from her usual self.
Maeve’s curiosity was piqued, "What did you find?"
Upon hearing this, Sarah quickly scrolled on her phone, tapping through several screens, eventually stopping at a pairing discussion page.
The discussion and popularity looked rather stagnant.
Maeve glanced at it, her expression growing more peculiar—
"...Maeve Lane × Julian Fairchild?"
