A malicious glint flashed in her eyes, "I think you should teach her a lesson while she hasn’t married Fairchild yet, or else when Maeve Lane really gets married to Fairchild, it will be too late for you to control her."

Butler Forrest thought to himself that this Miss Preston was clearly another troubleso one.

Finally, the relationship had eased a bit, and if she ssed things up, Mrs. Fairchild would have to start over again.

He stepped forward to speak, but unexpectedly, Mrs. Fairchild was not swayed this ti. She sighed and said, "You wouldn’t know, if I dared to give her a hard ti, Julian would pressure ; I’ve tried several tis without success. I’ve co to understand."

Mila Miller squinted and wanted to say more, but Butler Forrest interrupted, "Miss Preston, it’s ti to eat, or the dishes will get cold."

"Madam, this is your favorite Mapo Tofu, please eat it before it gets cold." Mrs. Fairchild nodded.

Mila took big bites of her al, thinking of how Maeve was pulled away by Julian Fairchild earlier, and the jealousy within her was about to drown her!

After only a few bites, Mila put down her chopsticks and said, "I’m finished."

She looked at the weather outside, wiped away her tears, and said, "Mrs. Fairchild, can I stay here today? The wind and snow here are a bit much, I..."

"No problem, just stay here!"

Before Butler Forrest could stop it, Mrs. Fairchild had already agreed. He sighed heavily, feeling uneasy with this troublemaker around.

Mila finally laughed genuinely, "Great, I’ll stay then. Thank you, Mrs. Fairchild, I’ll leave after today..."

Mrs. Fairchild responded, "Why be so polite? Our Fairchild Family isn’t short on rooms for you to stay. You can stay wherever you like for as long as you want!"

She said it rely out of politeness and hospitality, but Mila felt touched and said imdiately, "Mrs. Fairchild, you are so kind. No wonder my mom often ntions you. The Fairchild Family is spacious and beautiful; I really want to stay a few more days."

"Then you should definitely stay a few more days!"

Butler Forrest rubbed his forehead in anxiety.

...

The next morning, Julian Fairchild walked down from upstairs, dressed in simple ho attire, yet carried an air of elegance and nobility.

He headed straight to the kitchen where the staff was still asleep. He personally fried two eggs to bring to Maeve Lane upstairs.

Just then, a voice rang out: "Would you like to fetch a plate for you?"

Julian Fairchild assud it was the staff, casually placing the plate on the table and instructing, "Fetch two cups of hot milk."

"Sure!"

Maeve Lane yawned and ca downstairs, spotting Mila Miller busy rummaging in the kitchen while Julian Fairchild turned to head upstairs.

As their eyes t, Julian Fairchild smiled and asked, "What’s wrong, still not quite awake?"

Maeve Lane glanced down coldly, her eyes half-closed, "Why is she here so early?"

Julian Fairchild didn’t understand, "Who?"

Ever since they opened their hearts to each other, Maeve Lane never doubted Julian Fairchild’s feelings for her. She was rely clarifying the situation.

Seeing Julian Fairchild’s reaction, she knew it was probably Mila Miller causing trouble again.

Maeve Lane half-lowered her eyes, "Nothing, you go ahead upstairs."

Julian Fairchild looked at her, "Not having breakfast downstairs?"

"I’ll bring it up in a mont."

As Maeve Lane spoke, she was about to go downstairs but was unexpectedly swept into his arms, embraced in a familiar princess carry.

With a height of 1.7 ters, not every man could easily carry Maeve Lane like Julian Fairchild did, especially with such a solid and warm embrace, which was hard for her to resist.

Then, she heard Julian Fairchild’s voice, carrying the laziness and huskiness of just waking up, "I’ll bring it up myself, or else it’ll get cold. So stay and eat downstairs; I thought the speaker was a servant, which is why I asked her for help."

As he explained, he held her and walked downstairs; both long-legged and tall, they made a perfect pair. Her long hair scattered, slightly ssy, with fair and rosy skin, showing slender and gracefully white legs.

Mila Miller, having just found the milk, witnessed this striking scene.

Maeve Lane casually glanced at her, then looked away, "Julian Fairchild, where’s my morning kiss?"

Though they had kissed several tis, Julian Fairchild complied without hesitation, lifting her slightly to place her on the dining table, covered by a new and soft tablecloth, keeping her from feeling cold.

With both hands braced on either side of her, the man lowered his head slowly.
