"Still angry?" Julian Fairchild lowered his head without a second thought and kissed her forehead.

Maeve Lane was actually just feeling a bit awkward, but since Julian had lowered his head, she wouldn’t cause a fuss. Nonetheless, her dislike for Mila Miller grew a bit more.

It’s fine if they co at her; she can remain unaffected, as she won’t lose much either way. But whenever they target her man, just thinking about it makes Maeve’s hands itch.

"Not angry." Maeve said sullenly, "I really want to hide you away, see where you’d go to attract admirers."

Julian pinched her nose and laughed, "Shouldn’t I be saying this instead?"

"My admirers are nowhere near as many as yours?" Maeve retorted.

"Really? Let count, you ntioned how many ex-boyfriends you have..." Julian elongated his tone, saying leisurely, "More than you can count on both hands."

Maeve: "..."

"Do you know why I ca here first today?" Julian looked at her lazily. A very faint emotion flickered in his eyes swiftly, too quickly for Maeve to catch.

"No idea."

"Isn’t it because of your admirers."

Maeve pointed at herself with her finger, furrowing her brows, "Mine?"

"If not yours, then mine?" Julian reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist, his tone slightly frosty, "That guy nad Zane Payne seems interested in you."

Maeve leaned back a bit, raising her head to et his gaze, "What are you talking about? How could Zane Payne be interested in ?"

"If he isn’t interested in you, why would he take a photo with you?"

"Taking a photo doesn’t necessarily an he’s interested." Maeve chuckled, "Miles Hughes also took photos with ; he wasn’t interested either."

Miles suddenly got a clear realization; how did he get randomly dragged into this, the young master might stew in jealousy!

Luckily, Julian knew Maeve was just giving an example and didn’t turn back to look at Miles.

"You don’t understand. It’s a man’s sixth sense."

Maeve: "... So, you ca here today just because of that photo?"

"No, I ca for you." Julian caressed her face and smiled, "A kiss?"

If you’re going to kiss, just do it; why ask?

Maeve felt a bit embarrassed, just as she intended to lower her head, her jaw was held, and his warm breath sprayed onto her lips.

...

Since Julian’s scenes weren’t many, the crew’s schedule was pretty tight, so the director arranged Julian’s parts to be shot altogether. Shooting wrapped up in a day, Julian stayed with Maeve to shoot for a few more days before leaving.

When he left, Miles, following Julian’s instructions, brought along so supplents from the old house and so dication from Yara Payne for treating low blood sugar.

Sarah Sutton collected these items and asked Maeve curiously, "Do you have low blood sugar?"

Maeve looked at the items in her hand, her expression sowhat complicated, "Yes."

She wanted to find an opportunity to tell Julian but never had the chance... If he knew she was still taking dication for depression, he probably wouldn’t let her act anymore.

Even though "Southern Mountain" was already halfway fild, Maeve believed Julian would definitely follow through.

"Then be careful in daily life, I used to have low blood sugar too, got better after so ti adjusting." Sarah said with a smile.

...

Leaving the town required passing through a narrow road. It was evening, and there were more people, making the road a bit congested.

Miles had his fingers resting on the steering wheel when suddenly a person appeared on the curve!

He quickly adjusted the direction; the car made an ergency stop, almost hitting a tree.

Julian was dozing lightly, sensed the movent, and opened his eyes, "What’s going on?"

Miles opened the car door searching for the person, "Soone suddenly appeared, not sure if we hit them."

Miles’ gaze swept around, landing on a woman collapsed in the middle of the road.

Passersby cast reproachful glances at Miles.

"Aren’t you going to check on the young lady here?"

"How could this lad be driving and not watching the road?"

"This girl seems to have had an asthma attack; you scared her sick, quickly take her to the hospital!"

"Yes, yes, she might die from this if not handled well, hurry, everyone lend a hand."

Miles wanted to argue, she was standing in the middle of the road, and he honked, but she didn’t hear it; shouldn’t it be solely his fault.

But since she was so frightened by him, he couldn’t just leave her there.

Still, he had to seek instructions from the young master.

Julian seed naturally commanding, isolating all the noise around him.

Miles tapped on Julian’s car window, awkwardly saying, "Master, scared soone to have an asthma attack earlier, I need to take her to the hospital."
