Tease her to make her... And then just let go?

What kind of sick pleasure is this?

Julian Fairchild kissed her lips without saying a word, but the amusent in his eyes was unmistakable.

"Oh, you." Maeve Lane lightly shoved him. The blush on her face hadn’t completely faded, making her look more shy than angry.

"Let you experience the feeling... of being all fired up." Julian Fairchild delicately licked her earlobe, his voice seductive like a Demon King.

Maeve Lane pulled back her hand, refusing to embrace him, and said dryly, "I didn’t."

The man hugged her, chuckling: "I know your body better than you do."

Maeve Lane: "..."

"So, how do you feel? Uncomfortable?"

How was she supposed to reply?

Julian Fairchild saw her frown and softened, leaning down to capture her lips. His kiss, originally gentle, soon turned rough.

Maeve Lane felt the man’s passion, yet clung to a shred of rationality, and as he breathed heavily, she suddenly pulled the blanket over herself tightly.

Julian Fairchild was suddenly left holding nothing, his expression darkened.

"The kiss was good. I’m not uncomfortable at all now." Maeve Lane cleared her throat as if she were a heartbreaker who had just gotten what she wanted and tossed soone aside, "Sleep, sleep."

The man was about to turn her over.

But Maeve Lane languidly added, "If you ss around again, you’re not allowed to kiss for a year."

The hand Julian Fairchild had placed on her waist paused stiffly.

Then the sound of gnashing teeth laced with helplessness ca through, "You’re playing with fire."

"Mmm hmm."

Julian Fairchild finally understood what it ant to play with fire and get burned, and said in a restrained voice: "Zoe, I hope you won’t regret it in a year."

Upon hearing this, Maeve Lane’s heart trembled slightly.

According to his tone, if they publicly announced their engagent in a year...

Forget it, stop here; the future can wait.

But right now, she’s quite pleased—Julian Fairchild simply can’t handle her.

A few seconds later, the sound of the man fidgeting out of bed was followed by the sound of the shower.

Maeve Lane shuffled herself in the blanket, humming softly, "Little rascal, you’re no match for ."

Julian Fairchild returned to Maeve Lane’s room after nearly an hour.

His body felt a bit cool, and it took a while before he snuggled the girl, now asleep, back into his arms.

Listening to her steady breathing and slightly parted red lips, Julian Fairchild’s gaze darkened slightly as he gently bit her soft lips.

"You’ve truly bested ."

...

The next morning, Maeve Lane woke up early, having developed a good routine these days.

Looking at the ceiling above, she sighed and then skillfully pinched Julian Fairchild’s handso face, "Ti to get up, Julian Fairchild."

The man woke the mont she opened her eyes, pulling her hand under the covers, "Sleep a bit more."

"It’s almost seven o’clock, and if you don’t get up now, the photographer will be here." Maeve Lane nagged him like a mother every day, "Hurry."

"Miles Hughes has taken leave."

Last night Julian Fairchild did ntion sothing about taking leave, but—

"Wasn’t that just a lie to trick ?"

Julian Fairchild slowly opened his eyes and muttered, "I wasn’t lying."

Maeve Lane knew Julian Fairchild wasn’t one to joke around.

Though he really wanted to go public, whenever she asked him to leave firmly, Julian Fairchild would always respect her wishes.

So, although the two would often snuggle just to sleep, they hadn’t been caught.

Besides, there’s Miles Hughes.

"Why suddenly take leave?" Maeve Lane lay back in his embrace again, her arm across his abs. Julian Fairchild had a faint sandalwood scent, which slled nice.

Knowing that once the show starts recording, it’s all about spending money, unless there’s a special reason, leave wouldn’t be requested.

She watched as Julian Fairchild’s gaze slowly settled on her, speaking firmly: "It’s related to your mother’s illness."

Maeve Lane paused, "Mom’s illness? What’s going on?"

Julian Fairchild patted her back, "Don’t worry, it’s not bad news. Rember Yara Payne?"

"Yes." Maeve Lane’s mind instantly flashed with nurous thoughts.

"Her major professor is very famous, specializing in psychiatry. I had sent people to gather information about his whereabouts but found nothing. However, recently, I located him." Julian Fairchild’s voice seed to carry a reassuring power.

"Miles Hughes personally invited him over. He’s been at Fellsre Sanatorium for so ti now.

Under his treatnt, your mother’s condition gradually started improving, and it’s stable now."

Maeve Lane couldn’t contain her excitent, "So today, are you taking to see her?"
