After he finished speaking, he strode out.

Maeve Lane raised her eyelids and contemplated the back of Julian Fairchild.

At this mont, redith Monroe, who had just finished eating, suddenly ca out and patted Maeve Lane on the shoulder.

"Maeve, what are you looking at?"

Maeve Lane’s eyes lit up, she didn’t close the umbrella but instead pulled redith Monroe into her arms, her tone playful, "Do you want to see a beauty drenched in the rain?"

redith was dragged along by Maeve Lane in a daze, "Where’s this beauty drenched in the rain coming from?"

She turned her head to look at Maeve Lane beside her and suddenly rubbed the goosebumps on her hand, "Maeve, who upset you? Why do you look so annoyed?"

Maeve Lane tugged at her crimson lips, her smile fainted a bit, "Do I?"

"You do..."

"Do you see that person up ahead?"

redith raised her head and glanced, then looked again incredulously, stamring a bit, "Julian Fairchild?"

"Yeah."

Hearing Maeve Lane’s response, redith looked again, "Is he the beauty drenched in the rain you’re talking about? Maeve, what kind of weird taste do you have? He doesn’t have an umbrella; you could just share one with him."

Maeve Lane half-raised her eyes, speaking leisurely, "I would love to play the hero saving the beauty, but he refuses to let share an umbrella with him?"

redith caught the aning in her words, "Fairchild he..."

"Uh-huh," Maeve Lane made a light "yeah" sound, then grabbed redith’s hand, placing the umbrella in her hand, "So, you go."

redith: "?"

"Go on, you’re going to the library later, right," Maeve Lane glanced at redith’s backpack, "He’s heading to the dorm, it’s on your way, go on."

Seeing Maeve Lane standing in the rain, redith wanted to go to her, "But you don’t have an umbrella?"

Maeve Lane stopped her movent, smiling, "I’m fine, can’t I just randomly find soone and get an umbrella? If you don’t go, President Fairchild might catch a cold tomorrow."

She didn’t lower her volu; her unrestrained tone was lazy and flamboyant, attracting the attention of passersby who couldn’t help but turn to look at her.

And Maeve Lane, she seed born to be in the spotlight.

Julian Fairchild’s feelings were a bit mixed hearing this, his steps paused slightly.

Seeing redith unwilling to go, Maeve Lane directly grabbed soone, looking up she said, "Hey handso, mind sharing an umbrella?"

This grab happened to catch Henry Hughes.

Maeve Lane was startled for a mont, then quickly gave Henry Hughes a brotherly punch on the shoulder, "What a coincidence, you finished eating too?"

Henry Hughes gave a small "uh" and looked down at Maeve Lane, seemingly unintentionally saying, "Want to walk together?"

"Let’s go."

Henry Hughes had the feeling that when the girl finished speaking these words, an inexplicable gaze fell on him.

Seeing that Maeve Lane had found soone to share an umbrella with, redith ran up ahead to catch up with Julian Fairchild, timidly saying, "Julian Fairchild, want to walk together?"

Julian Fairchild glanced at redith, not saying much, but he wasn’t covered in rejection like he was with Maeve Lane.

Seeing Julian Fairchild’s reaction, Maeve Lane’s voice was sowhat puzzled, "Henry Hughes, it seems he isn’t so indifferent to all girls, or is it just that’s particularly annoying?"

Henry Hughes reflexively denied, "You’re not annoying."

Maeve Lane didn’t know if she heard correctly or not.

As the wind and rain subsided, the tall gingko trees stood in patches around them. She lowered her eyes, suppressing the emotions in her gaze.

...

When returning to the dorm in the evening, redith grabbed Maeve Lane who was about to get into bed and stared at her seriously, "Maeve, tell the truth, are you serious this ti? Has the player turned over a new leaf?"

Maeve Lane smiled and pinched redith’s cheek, "What nonsense are you talking about? When have I not been serious about a relationship?"
