Sumr’s heart was pounding like a drum. She forced a smile and stood up sowhat awkwardly before turning away, attempting to hide everything with a façade of cheerfulness.

"Director, Fairchild, you brought Maeve to see the doctor, right? I’ll be leaving now, I have so things to attend to..."

"Didn’t you hear ?" Maeve repeated, her voice not loud, but deliberately lowered as if piercing through the ears, "I don’t want to repeat myself a second ti."

Sumr, under their gaze, couldn’t continue to evade the issue, so she awkwardly chuckled, "I noticed your face looked flushed when you fell, as if you were having an allergic reaction, so I was curious to ask since I often have allergies myself. I wanted to see if I could get so dicine from this doctor who seed very skilled, especially after he quickly treated you. I thought he must be really good."

Maeve believed this was probably the pinnacle of Sumr’s acting in her life. Anyone else might be fooled by her words, but Maeve was prepared.

She smiled lightly, "You could tell it was an allergy from that far away? At the ti, my face was just sunburned."

Sumr’s heart skipped a beat.

Director Dayne looked at her sternly, making Sumr panic, "I found it strange earlier, why did you suddenly want to switch roles and say you were suitable for Eliza’s part? Sumr, be honest with today, did you do sothing malicious to Maeve?!"

"I didn’t..." Sumr stamred, "It was just an accident, I..."

"Look at this." Maeve took out a makeup box, glanced up languidly, "Soone added a lot of mango juice to my makeup. This was your doing, wasn’t it?"

Sumr didn’t expect Maeve to be so straightforward and imdiately denied it, "How could it be ? I didn’t know you were allergic to mango!"

Julian and Director Dayne’s expressions changed simultaneously.

Especially Julian’s gaze, which was like icy indifference, piercingly cold to one’s core.

Sumr belatedly covered her mouth as her mind exploded.

Maeve looked at her coolly, "I just ntioned mango juice, and you already knew I had a mango allergy?"

"I..." Sumr broke out in cold sweat, unable to think of a reason, desperately anxious.

"And how convenient, the surveillance in the dressing room was cut. Do you think soone did it on purpose?"

Sumr finally couldn’t hold on. She imdiately thought of shifting the bla to Sylvia Lane, "Sylvia Lane told to do it! I didn’t an to, she just said to put the mango juice in there, and I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal and did what she said. If you don’t believe , I’ve got a fax here!"

Sumr indeed took out a "contract" from her pocket, urging, "I originally didn’t agree but she promised to give a leading role! Director Dayne, Fairchild, believe , I’m telling the truth. If I knew Maeve was allergic to mango, I would never have done it!"

Director Dayne irritably grabbed the paper, "Why is Sylvia Lane involved again? What does she have to do with this? Why would she harm Maeve?"

Julian looked deeply at Maeve, seemingly waiting for her reaction.

Maeve casually glanced at the items in Director Dayne’s hand, a cold smirk forming at her lips, "Are you sure it’s hers?"

Cindy confidently replied, "If you don’t believe it, I can call her right now!"

Maeve raised an eyebrow nonchalantly, "Go ahead, call."

Sumr quickly dialed Sylvia Lane’s number, "Hey, is that Sylvia?"

Director Dayne frowned, "Put it on speaker."

Sumr hurriedly complied and turned on the speaker.

Sylvia’s voice was slightly sharp, "It’s , what’s wrong?"

Sumr said, "You rember telling to put mango near Maeve and then promising a movie role, right?"

There was a brief silence on the other end, and a seemingly innocent and perplexed voice replied, "What are you talking about? Sumr, I don’t understand what you’re saying."

Maeve wore a "that’s exactly what I expected" expression.

This forr "sister" would never leave such an obvious trail for others to find.

She understands Maeve, and Maeve certainly understands her.

The signature Sumr held definitely wasn’t Sylvia’s.

Sumr felt her heart sink half-way, and she still made one last effort, "Didn’t you say as long as I put mango by her side, you’d give the leading role?"

As long as she could induce Sylvia to say it, she’d achieve her goal!

But why did Sylvia suddenly turn her back on her?

Sylvia’s voice was slightly frightened, "Why are you spouting nonsense, it’s kind of scary, I’m hanging up, I need to get back to filming."

The call disconnected.

Both of them were up to no good.

One was foolish and the other malicious; it’s no wonder they couldn’t get things done.

Maeve looked at Sumr’s pale face without a trace of sympathy, "Director Dayne, decide what you’re going to do about it."
