Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud Chapter 156: Three Kisses with Julian Fairchild (A Jumbo - M
He started to regret it; he shouldn’t have been so confident.
...
What happened that day added yet another topic of conversation to Maeve Lane’s tumultuous university life.
At first, everyone thought Maeve was chasing Julian Fairchild, and Julian rejected her.
No one expected that it was actually Julian confessing to Maeve and getting rejected.
Originally, it was thought that Julian and Henry Hughes were reported for fighting due to personal grievances.
But everyone at Aurelia University only guessed half of it right.
The personal grievances were true.
Maeve was indeed the cause.
For a while, Maeve’s na ca up repeatedly during alti conversations.
redith packed so food from the cafeteria to eat back at the dorm, and seeing Maeve lying on the bed playing gas, she showed a helpless expression, "You vanish for half a day, and another big story pops up?"
"What story?" Maeve didn’t stop her actions, casually asking, "Did you bring food?"
"I did, look, I put it on your desk." redith placed one of the als on Maeve’s desk with a slightly complaining tone, "You hardly give any gossip; you didn’t even tell about the huge event yesterday."
"I was wondering why you ca back so late last night, turns out soone confessed to you. I really guessed right before; when I saw your eyes, I felt sothing was off. Sure enough, you rejected Julian Fairchild."
redith opened the container and started eating, "Co on down, or the food will get cold."
Maeve’s ga character got killed, so she put her phone aside for now, "Okay."
She opened her lunchbox at a leisurely pace and took a bite, "There’s nothing to talk about."
"So calm, really calm," redith said, genuinely feeling Maeve was too composed, "You know, randomly picking soone to date would be fine too; now half the girls at Aurelia University are heartbroken."
Maeve raised an eyebrow, evidently confused.
"Half the girls like Julian Fairchild, the other half like Henry Hughes..." redith added, "No, probably two-thirds like Julian."
"Last night, Henry Hughes almost fought Julian; luckily soone held him back."
Maeve lightly furrowed her brow, lost in thought about sothing.
redith continued, "Now everyone’s speculating who you’ll end up with. Since we’re roommates, why don’t you give a hint whom you fancy more?"
Maeve chuckled and patted redith’s head, "Aren’t you bored?"
"I am! It’s because I’m bored that I’m curious!" redith was dying of curiosity, "If Julian Fairchild pursued you, would you say yes?"
Maeve lowered her gaze, "No."
"What about Henry Hughes?"
"No."
"Huh, why not? Have any of your ex-boyfriends been better than the two of them?"
But Maeve rely responded with an "mm," seemingly answering sothing else, "It’s precisely because no one can match them."
Neither the feeling Julian gives nor the feeling Henry gives is more intense than anything before.
She doesn’t plan to enter a long-term relationship right now.
And they want too much.
She can’t give them that.
redith listened, a bit puzzled, "What do you an?"
"Nothing," Maeve chuckled slightly and continued eating.
Seeing Maeve didn’t wish to continue the topic, redith didn’t press further. She glanced at the clock, "Maeve, are you free this afternoon?"
Maeve replied calmly, "I have a club activity later."
"Oh... I was going to ask you to go shopping, but... I’ll find soone else then."
Maeve gave a soft "mm."

This ti, the eting point was a classroom.
She glanced at her phone; there were fifteen minutes until the eting.
Yet, no one was there yet.
So, Maeve leaned back on the chair, preparing to nap for a bit.
Just as she was dozing off, she felt soone gently playing with her hair.
Maeve furrowed her brows slightly, opening her eyes to et a pair of deep eyes.
The culprit was still holding her hair, caught by her right in the act.
The handso man calmly released her hair, with a deep voice and a slight smile in his eyes, "Good afternoon."
Sunlight stread through his hair, casting his entire outline in gold, with exquisite eyebrows, a rugged handso face, and a slight uplift of the lips—like a noble elegantly bowing in a dieval castle.
Maeve glanced at him, images flashed in her mind, but she soon shut her eyes again.
Seeing Maeve not responding, Julian Fairchild wasn’t in a hurry and casually leaned closer to her ear, lowered his voice, "Ti to wake up."
