Julian Fairchild took up the drink, just as Miles Hughes had said he would, and started to drink.

The man’s sensual Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, and for so reason, watching it made Maeve Lane a little parched.

The bottle of water quickly reached the bottom.

Maeve Lane shook the empty bottle in her hand, "It’s all gone, are you feeling any better?"

"Yeah."

She was also a bit tipsy, but her face didn’t look as red as Julian Fairchild’s. This state was just right for shooting the scene.

Luckily, in this scene, both she and Julian didn’t have too many lines.

Yet, after Julian finished drinking, he didn’t withdraw his gaze from Maeve, and perhaps due to drunkenness, he kept staring at her intently.

Those eyes that had enchanted countless young girls were now fixed on her, full of focus and complexity.

As if unwilling to miss even the slightest expression or motion of hers.

Maeve felt a bit uncomfortable, "What are you looking at?"

The gentle moonlight spilled a clear brilliance on the ground; Maeve appeared to be glowing, her skin as delicate as white jade, touched with a slight blush of inebriation. Her eyes shone, and her lips were full.

Perfect for kissing.

Julian’s eyes deepened.

Soon, all the equipnt was set up. Director Dayne picked a few spots to adjust the cara angles and then said, "Maeve, Julian, we’re ready. Please prepare yourselves."

"Okay."

After Director Dayne spoke, Maeve and Julian’s gazes t, "Shall we start?"

"Okay."

She leaned over to Julian, supporting his entire body against hers.

"Alright, get ready, 3—2—1—action!"

"If you can’t handle it, don’t drink so much. Didn’t you know you had to co out early?"

"Look at yourself now, drunk like this. If the Emperor finds out, you’ll definitely be punished."

"I thought drunk people made more of a racket—all rowdy—but you’re so quiet. You’re actually more delightful like this than when you’re sober."

Maeve laughed a little, her smile filled with complex emotions.

Director Dayne imdiately gestured for a close-up on her.

Julian Fairchild wasn’t light, and Maeve was struggling to move him, inch by inch, into the tent.

Two soldiers bowed respectfully.

Eliza Grant laughed, picked up the pace, and still found ti to gripe, "I always said you eat like a horse, but you don’t look like you have any at on you. Didn’t expect you to be so heavy. I’m exhausted."

The man she was dragging along finally showed so response. He chuckled softly, his voice different from Julian’s—clear and lively, "I told you... to eat more, but you wouldn’t listen, like a lady. I could... lift you with one hand."

Eliza Grant pinched Miles Monarch hard, though she was chatty, she was also quite drunk, "If you keep babbling, I’ll throw you under the bed, and you can sleep on the floor tonight!"

Miles Monarch chuckled, ready to speak further, but Eliza tossed him onto the bed.

The words he intended to say faded into oblivion.

The action left Eliza swaying slightly, unable to maintain her balance.

At this mont, Miles opened his eyes, and the vision of Eliza in front of him seed to blur into multiple images. He continued to laugh, a laugh as clear as moonlight, soft as a breeze. Only now did Eliza feel he was like the legendary top nobleman of the realm. Maybe because she spent so much ti with Miles Monarch, she often thought he was like her.

But in truth, they were different.

She was of female lineage and could never gain her father the king’s approval. Once her identity was exposed, her mother, who hid her identity, along with others, would bear the brunt of the king’s fury.

Whereas Miles Monarch was the exalted, divinely chosen emperor sought by the citizens.
