"Exactly. How long has it been since your last mistake? And now you’ve ssed up again? Do you really think your father will protect you and that I won’t punish you?" Chantelle said, giving Daniel a sharp glare.
Daniel, who sohow got dragged into the situation, coughed awkwardly and turned his head away.
"Go now! Find a spot and fish by yourself. Stay away from your Uncle Philip and the others. If I catch you cheating, I’ll double your punishnt!"
Kane grabbed a bucket and ran to the other side of the deck as soon as Chantelle finished speaking. Railer greeted Chantelle, then said he wanted to be punished with Kane before running after him.
The two boys sat together in front of their fishing rods, staring at each other. Kane tried to start a conversation, but Railer told him that talking would scare the fish away, so he refused to speak. The silence bored Kane to death.
He was just about to cause so trouble when Chantelle looked over, and he imdiately stopped.
Soon after, the sll of grilled at, fresh sashimi, and fried tempura spread across the deck as Chantelle and Daniel began to cook.
Kane’s stomach growled, and he swallowed hard several tis. All the bodyguards were eating the at Chantelle had grilled, everyone except him and Railer.
Kane was about to toss his fishing rod into the water when Railer noticed and said, "Stop ssing around. Once we catch so fish, we’ll get to eat."
"When are we ever going to catch one? Uncle Philip and the others have been fishing all morning and barely caught anything. How are we supposed to manage?" Kane said, sounding defeated.
Just then, Stephanie appeared with a plate of tempura. She twirled around in front of them and said, "Uncle Alexander’s tempura is amazing. It’s so fragrant and crispy."
"Steph, Steph, please give one. If you do, I’ll do whatever you want when we get ho," Kane begged, practically drooling.
"Mommy said you can only eat after you catch so fish. Otherwise, you’ll never learn your lesson," Stephanie said, biting into the tempura with a loud crunch that made Kane’s stomach growl even louder.
"Steph, please, I’m begging you. Just one bite, okay?" Kane pleaded, grabbing at the corner of her clothes.
Stephanie rolled her eyes but smiled. "Okay, I’ll let you have a bite. But did you know a few won just boarded the yacht?"
Kane nodded but he’s still staring at the food on her plate.
Railer glanced toward the cabin below thoughtfully. He had seen the bodyguards leading those won downstairs earlier.
"I overheard the two won from Easthan talking earlier," Stephanie said. "They said they made a hole in their boat on purpose after watching the dolphin show so they could have an excuse to get on our yacht."
"What do they want? Are they after Daddy?" Kane asked, instantly losing his composure.
"They said if they can win over the owner of this yacht, they’ll be able to live comfortably for the rest of their lives," Stephanie replied while pouting her small lips.
"What are you planning to do, Steph?" Railer asked carefully.
A sly grin spread across Stephanie’s face. She leaned closer, whispered sothing to them, then stood up and walked away with the plate.
Kane didn’t take a single bite of the tempura on the plate.
After hearing such a shocking secret, he completely lost his appetite.
Those bad won wanted to take their mother’s place. They needed to be taught a lesson.
"Kane, I think we should tell Daddy. You still have a bump on your head. What if you faint while trying to handle this yourself?" Railer said, disagreeing with Stephanie’s plan.
But Kane was as stubborn as ever. "It’s fine. Nothing’s going to happen to us with Daddy around and all these bodyguards here. Don’t you want Daddy and Mommy to make up?"
"Will that really bring them back together?" Railer asked, still unsure about the plan.
"Steph said it will, so it definitely will. Just stay here and keep fishing. You’ll see what I an," Kane said.
He took off his coat and pants, propped them on a chair with a stick, and made a dummy to look like he was still there.
Then he secretly slipped into the cabin and hid near the stairwell.
A few monts later, two won in bikinis with curvy figures ca up from below deck while the bodyguards seed to be "distracted."
That "distraction" was all Kane’s doing.
Daniel was grilling steak for Chantelle when the two won approached him. Seeing her watching him, he wanted to show off his skills.
"Hello, Sir. Thank you for saving us. We didn’t know what we could’ve done without you," one of the won said.
Daniel was stunned when she suddenly knelt beside him and leaned closer with her face caked with makeup.
A scream ca from behind, and Daniel felt sothing soft press against his arm. He instinctively stepped back.
He looked up and saw Chantelle with her arms crossed, watching like it was nothing.
Daniel stood up instantly and shoved the woman aside. His expression turned cold as he said, "Get lost."
"Miss, please help us. The n below tricked us into getting on their boat. They tried to force themselves on us, so we had no choice but to damage the boat and go down with them," the woman with heavy makeup said. She was the sa one Daniel had pushed away earlier. Now she crawled to Chantelle and grabbed her shoes, begging desperately.
Chantelle frowned. Daniel imdiately kicked the woman’s hands away.
For a mont, the woman was utterly shocked. Then she looked up at Daniel, tears streaming down her face. She had been in the entertainnt industry for years, but this was the first ti she had encountered a man who showed no sympathy for a beautiful woman, especially one who dressed in such a revealing bikini.
Seeing this, the other woman thought Daniel was probably afraid of his wife. It wasn’t that he wasn’t interested in them, but he just didn’t dare to cross the line.
From that mont, both won knew that if they wanted to win him over, they would have to get rid of his wife first.
"There are a few more of us downstairs who are also victims. Please save them!"
