"It’s done! Daddy’s coming down right now," Kane said cheerfully.

"Okay, let’s wait for him here," Chantelle replied, patting the seat next to her.

Chantelle handed Kane a cup of warm chocolate milk.

Kane leaned against her, enjoying the sunlight with a big smile.

Hehe! I’m the only one hanging out with Mommy and Daddy today. I’m so happy!

But his happiness didn’t last long.

A pretty woman in uniform suddenly walked over and ruined the mont.

"Kane, Mr. Wilson asked to pick you up. Please co with ," Leanna said softly and politely.

"Who are you? Where’s my daddy? He said he’d co to pick up!" Kane asked with a frown.

Even though she was pretty, he wasn’t happy to see her.

He usually liked talking to pretty ladies, but this was supposed to be their family ti. He didn’t want anyone to ruin it.

"Kane, maybe Daddy’s busy. Let’s go with this pretty aunty for now," Chantelle said, trying to comfort him as she stood up to go with them.

But when she moved, Leanna quickly blocked her path.

"Miss, I’m sorry, but Mr. Wilson only told to bring Kane up," Leanna said politely.

Chantelle froze for a second.

Daniel Wilson, you jerk. How could you do this to ?

"So, is this your decision? Or is it really Mr. Wilson’s?" Chantelle asked with a mocking smile.

"This is Mr. Wilson’s request, of course," Leanna replied.

She lowered her head slightly, afraid Chantelle might catch the lie in her eyes.

"Alright then. Kane, give this lunchbox to your daddy. I’ll wait here," Chantelle said calmly.

She didn’t want to cause a scene. She handed the lunchbox to Kane and sat back down on the sofa.

Kane glanced at Leanna, then turned his eyes at his mom.

He chose to go with Leanna without saying a word.

Before turning the corner, he gave Chantelle a aningful look.

Chantelle secretly touched her forehead. She couldn’t help but feel sorry for the pretty lady.

Well, Leanna’s asking for it. Let’s hope our Little Devil goes easy on her.

Kane sweetly held Leanna’s hand and walked into the elevator with her.

Leanna looked at him and thought Kane seed a little slow. She thought she could take advantage of that.

"Kane, the lunchbox looks heavy. Want to carry it for you?"

"Okay, Aunty. Thank you. You’re so pretty," Kane said, tilting his head and staring up at her with wide, innocent eyes.

"Oh, thank you." Leanna smiled. "So, Kane, who’s more beautiful—your mommy or ?"

"Erm..." Kane paused, pretending to think.

"Daddy told never to lie. So... I think you’re prettier," he said slowly.

Hmph! You wish! You’re not even half of my Mommy’s beauty! My mommy is ten thousand tis more beautiful than you!

"Haha, really? You’re such a sweet boy," Leanna giggled. "So, what if I beca your mommy?" she asked, trying to sound gentle.

Kane blinked and gave her a blank look—but deep down, he was already planning his revenge.

She had heard that Kane was Mr. Wilson’s favorite.

If Kane liked , then Mr. Wilson would accept . Right?

Even though Mr. Wilson said Chantelle was still his wife, she hadn’t returned to the Wilson residence after all this ti.

He must have only acknowledged her for the child’s sake.

Besides, that foolish woman was caught with a new lover.

This was the perfect chance for her.

"Aunty, do you want to be my mommy?" Kane asked sweetly.

It’s fine to dream, but seriously? You’re dreaming in broad daylight, lady!

"Can I?" Leanna asked, a little too hopeful.

"Aunty, you’re so beautiful. Of course, you can," Kane replied with a big smile.

"Kane, are you serious? You’re such a nice boy. I wish I had t you sooner!" Leanna said, clearly chard by Kane’s words.

"It’s never too late. I like you. I’m sure Daddy will like you too," Kane said blurted out in an innocent tone.

Hah! You really think you can steal my dad from my mom? Dream on.

"R-Really? You think your dad will like too?" Leanna asked with a wide smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

"Yes, especially if you know how to make lunchboxes," Kane replied, hiding his true plan behind a kind voice.

"T-Tell , Kane... when we get to Mr. Wilson’s office, can I say I made the lunchbox? I promise to be a great mom to you if I ever get the chance," Leanna said with her eyes full of hope.

Leanna was so excited, that she almost started jumping around while thinking about the possibility of being a Mrs. Wilson.

Right now, she really believed Kane was her lucky charm.

"Be a great mother to ?" Kane asked, his tone serious. "Even better than how my real mommy treats ?"

He ant every word.

As far as Kane was concerned, no one could treat him better than his own mother.

He quickly realized this woman was definitely lying.

"Of course!" Leanna replied without flinching.

Kane stared at her with a blank expression again, but she was too excited in her own little trick to notice it.

"Really, huh? Then, the lunchbox is yours now," Kane smiled. "Do whatever you want with it."

He pretended to agree, but in his mind, the ga had just begun.

Daniel was in a eting when he got a call from Kane. After hearing the final reports, he planned to head downstairs to get him. But just as he walked toward the elevator, he saw his secretary, Leanna, bringing Kane up.

"Sir, I ran into Kane downstairs and brought him here. I also made you so lunch..." she said.

"You made my lunch?" Daniel cut her off, his brows furrowed.

"Yes. I’m not really good at cooking, but I hope you’ll like it."

"Put it down and leave. Don’t make lunch for again."

At first, Daniel wanted her to take the lunch box away. But then he noticed the pink lunch box and felt like he had seen it before. He wasn’t sure if he was just imagining it.

"Okay, I think Kane is hungry too. Hope you enjoy your al," Leanna said before leaving the office. She walked out slowly, but her heart was beating fast out of excitent.

Oh my God! Mr. Wilson accepted the lunch box! Does that an he likes ? I hope so! This is amazing!
