Chantelle took one and sat with Kane to eat.

Daniel was about to say it was ti to head ho for dinner.

But before he could speak, Chantelle shoved a potato into his mouth.

Maybe because she fed it to him, Daniel thought it tasted extra good.

Fine. They could eat first, then leave as Chantelle suggested.

Daniel’s eyes landed on Calvin, who was holding the tray of roasted potatoes.

Feeling the cold stare, Calvin understood right away.

He walked over and offered the tray.

"Potatoes, Mr. Wilson?"

"Thank you."

Daniel was satisfied with Calvin’s quick response.

Daniel picked up a potato with his slender fingers and sat down beside Rai.

He peeled it carefully and fed it to Rai.

Rai blinked in surprise.

Daddy always said boys should be strong and do things on their own.

That’s why Rai never asked for help.

So what was going on with Daddy now?

Rai looked at Daniel, confused.

"Daddy, didn’t you say kids shouldn’t be fed by adults? I can do it."

He paused to think.

He believed he should handle things on his own.

"You have an injured arm. I’ll help you."

"But when I hurt my hands at three, you said I could go hungry if I couldn’t feed myself..."

Rai said in an innocent voice.

Hearing that, Chantelle frowned and her eyes shifted to Daniel.

"Daniel, is this how you usually treat your son?"

"Erm..." Daniel wasn’t sure. Did he?

"Don’t bla Daddy, Mommy. He’s right," Rai said quickly.

"Boys should be independent! We shouldn’t rely on other people."

"But I’m not other people. I’m your mommy. Can I help you, Rai?"

"Sure!" Rai nodded with a big smile.

Daniel was left feeling awkward after his son’s unexpected move.

Sothing didn’t sit right with him as Rai happily ate the potato, and Chantelle sided against him again.

Kane, who had opened his mouth waiting to be fed but got ignored by his mom, felt the sa way.

With Mommy giving all her attention to his little brother, Kane felt like the forgotten one again.

He looked over at Daddy, who also seed left out.

"Daddy, shall we have the potatoes together?"

"Okay."

Just like that, Kane got himself a potato-peeling daddy.

"Ahhhh! Mr. Wilson is so hot and kind! I just know he’s a good dad!"

"You can always expect greatness from soone rich and smart. Mr. Wilson is my god!"

"The woman giving him attitude looks like his ex-wife."

"No, that is Mr. Wilson’s ex-wife—Chantelle Bently!"

"Wait... wasn’t Mr. Wilson’s ex-wife supposed to be dead?"

"Did she fake her death?"

Daniel’s sharp ears caught the voices coming from Kane’s phone.

He heard what the fans were saying.

The mont he heard soone ntion an ex-wife, he reached over and grabbed the phone from the rock.

His dark eyes landed on the screen.

That’s when Daniel realized— Kane was live-streaming.

"Mr. Wilson!"

"It’s Mr. Wilson’s first ti on the livestream!"

Ignoring the excited screams from fans, Daniel spoke in a calm and serious tone.

"Correction. The woman is Chantelle, but she’s not my ex-wife. She’s my wife. We’ve never divorced. Chantelle is the one and only Mrs. Wilson."

Daniel ended the livestream while people online buzzed with excitent over what he said.

Inside the cave, everyone stared at him in shock.

Chantelle’s mouth fell open. She swore she’d get back at him one day for saying that in front of the kids. She couldn’t believe he told everyone online that they were never divorced and she was still Mrs. Wilson.

How could he?

Daniel didn’t seem bothered by Chantelle’s angry glare. He stood up and looked at her. "Why the long face? I only told them the truth. You’re my wife, Chantelle."

"Oh, should I be grateful then?" Chantelle rolled her eyes. "Thanks, but no thanks." She was beyond mad. She didn’t care if it was true or not. She just wanted him to stop saying things like that.

Kane, curious, asked, "Mommy, are you getting back together with Daddy?"

Railer also looked at Chantelle, waiting for her answer.

"It’s getting late. Let’s go, Calvin," Chantelle said, ignoring the kids.

"Of course, Ms. Chantelle," Calvin replied and was about to call the helicopter when Daniel quickly intervened.

"Let’s go together," Daniel said. "We’ll head to Silver Crest Global District. Philip can check on Rai’s condition there."

Calvin agreed with Daniel but still looked to Chantelle for her approval.

Kane, excited by the idea, tried to convince her. "Mommy, let’s go with Daddy! He promised to make pancakes!"

Railer nodded in support.

Chantelle sighed, feeling defeated.

Kane was always easy to win over with food.

She finally gave in. "Fine. We need Philip to check on Rai anyway."

It also made more sense to take the sa helicopter. She didn’t want to draw too much attention either.

After deciding, she felt more relaxed.

Kane and Railer were excited to ride with Daniel.

Chantelle, however, noticed the space beca tighter than she wanted.

"There are empty seats in front, you know," she frowned at Daniel.

"We’d have more space if you moved up." She would have switched sit, but he was in the way.

"I get airsick," Daniel said, closing his eyes instantly. "It helps to have soone beside ."

He sounded worn out, but Chantelle wasn’t convinced.

"Cut the crap," she said, frowning.

"I’m not making anything up. Just let rest, okay? I have a headache," he muttered, slowly leaning his head on her shoulder.

She wanted to push him away, but rembering he was still healing, she stopped. He clearly hadn’t recovered yet. She let out a quiet sigh.

anwhile, Ashton and his team were searching the mountain lake at Brittin morial Garden for Lone Wolf’s body.

All they found were blood stains on the ground. Nothing else. They couldn’t tell if Lone Wolf was dead or alive.

The uncertainty was frustrating.

Ashton sighed and left to et with Daniel.

An hour later, Philip woke up after a long, peaceful sleep. It was the first ti in days he had slept well. He felt lucky to have the chance to rest.

He was about to grab a bite when sothing on the TV caught his eye. The news was showing Mr. Wilson on a live stream with his wife and kids.

Philip set his sandwich aside and quickly looked up the live stream. His eyes welled up when he saw Daniel publicly call Chantelle his wife.

It touched him deeply. He was happy Daniel still loved her. He didn’t expect to cry, but he couldn’t help it.
