"Already done it several tis."

"Can’t miss any of the rules to follow."

"Ah... Old Xu, you bad egg!"

...

When Jun Xiangyi’s hair was in disarray, lipstick smudged on her face, and makeup all ssed up, Xu Mohan couldn’t help but laugh.

"The beautiful maiden turned into a clown."

She punched him, "It’s all your fault. I’m going to wash my face."

Xu Mohan contentedly leaned against the headboard, waiting until she ca out, then said, "What do you want to eat today? I’ll go buy it for you."

"There’s too much I want to eat, bring all the goodies."

"Okay, I’ll see what to buy." He sat up, "Little foodie."

Jun Xiangyi raised her chin, "Just married and already rejecting ?"

"How dare I reject you, my wife."

"I’ll nap for a while, you go ahead."

"Alright."

Xu Mohan went out and ca back with two big bags of food.

Snacks took up one bag, and he bought plenty of books for her to pass the ti.

The two of them settled into a leisurely life here, undisturbed, keeping each other company, and the intensity of their feelings kept rising.

Every day felt like there was endless conversation, never boring at all.

"Ah Wun, who are you chatting with?" listen curiously craned his neck trying to see but was blocked by Ah Wun, "A friend."

"What friends do you have?"

"Soone I t online."

listen pouted, "Ah Wun, don’t get tricked by those online male friends, many are creepy old n pretending to be innocent young guys, using a few handso photos to scam."

Ah Wun laughed at his seemingly knowledgeable advice, asking, "You sure know a lot."

"Of course."

"Don’t worry, I’m sure this person isn’t a creepy old man."

"Did you two et?"

Ah Wun replied, "We video-called, I didn’t let him see but I saw him."

She was actually teasing him because this person is his uncle Gu Xichen.

"That’s better, I’m off to school."

"What about your brother?"

"Downstairs."

Seeing him leave, Ah Wun lay on the bed and replied to ssages.

Since getting to know Gu Xichen, they would ssage and chat every day, both feeling a strong connection.

Ah Wun saw him as a confidant, not daring to have romantic notions due to the impossibility of such a relationship or marriage given her status, it’s forbidden.

So they are just friends.

Since last eting, they hadn’t t again, but today Gu Xichen said he would co see her because he wasn’t busy in the afternoon.

Ah Wun was delighted upon knowing, asking what he’d like to drink for her to prepare.

Gu Xichen said coffee.

At three in the afternoon, he arrived as promised, naturally before the kids were out of school.

Last ti was at night, now he’s seeing her again, she radiated with beauty.

"Coffee’s just made." Ah Wun welcod him, "Please have a seat."

Gu Xichen sat down, "Tomorrow I’m going abroad for business, thought I’d co see you since I have ti today."

Ah Wun pushed the coffee towards him, "Which country?"

"Country L."

"How many days?"

"About half a month."

"Quite a while. Send a ssage when you arrive safely so I can be at ease." Ah Wun lowered her head and sipped coffee.

"Alright."

"Has your ex-wife contacted you?"

Gu Xichen shook his head, "No, why would she contact ? We’ve already decided to separate, and we consciously don’t plan to keep in touch."

"You’re so interesting, what a pity for her."

"Initially, she didn’t care whether I loved her or not, she knew who I loved, but as ti went on, she cared more about that. But I can’t give that, love isn’t sothing you can give just because you want to. She asked to cut ties with the one I love, which was impossible, so we had to part ways. Perhaps, marrying back then was just for the sake of marriage itself."
