He wanted to give her a call, but her phone was turned off.
Turning off the lights, the room was pitch black, and the sound of the rain outside kept reaching his ears.
He had just closed his eyes when he detected a slight movent. Before he opened his eyes, he caught her scent, and Long Yubei was overjoyed, reaching out to turn on the light.
Sure enough, it was her.
"I was just thinking of you, and you ca," he said with joy in his voice.
"I heard soone had already arranged the birthday celebration, so I ca back. Surprised?"
He pulled her into his arms, "Surprised."
Jun Li slled alcohol and softly asked, "Did you drink tonight?"
"A little," he said, the smile deep in his eyes and brows.
Accompanied by the baptism of the rain, the room was filled with warmth and tenderness.
When Jun Xiangyi, sleepless and suffering from insomnia, passed by and heard these sounds, she felt worse.
She thought her marriage was in vain.
All it left was an indelible record in her marriage history.
Nothing else mattered.
From marriage to divorce over these few years, she’s still a pure maiden.
Jun Xiangyi was already insomniac, and now she couldn’t sleep at all.
Inadvertently, she found herself outside Xu Mohan and Nan Yuesheng’s bedroom, standing on the balcony, not hearing the sounds she heard at Jun Li’s door. She pondered, having been married for so many years, it wasn’t surprising that the passion had waned.
Upon entering the bedroom, she didn’t even know why she ca here in the middle of the night.
Really, she had nothing better to do.
Now, she and he weren’t even married.
Her barging into his and Yuesheng’s bedroom was inappropriate.
She glanced at the couple sleeping in bed, just about to leave when Xu Mohan’s voice ca over, "You..."
The voice was soft, not sleep talking.
Jun Xiangyi looked over to find that the person who had been asleep seconds ago now had his eyes open.
The room’s night light was on, and his eyes were dark and deep.
Caught red-handed, what an awkward situation.
Jun Xiangyi awkwardly pulled a corner of her mouth up in a forced smile.
The atmosphere was so quiet it felt as if no one was there.
Xu Mohan slowly sat up, looking at her standing there like she was stunned, and after glancing at the soundly sleeping Nan Yuesheng, he gestured for them to talk outside.
He assud she had sothing to discuss.
But Jun Xiangyi really had nothing.
Yet, it seed without an excuse, she couldn’t explain her actions.
On the balcony, he followed out in his pajamas.
In a low voice, he asked, "What’s the matter?"
"Um... uh..." Jun Xiangyi racked her brain for an excuse, but really, nothing fit.
Xu Mohan, however, wasn’t in a hurry, just standing there waiting for her to speak.
"I just couldn’t sleep... sorry to disturb you," she said before leaving.
Xu Mohan returned to bed and lay down, but now it was his turn for insomnia.
He couldn’t fall asleep.
