"An arm can’t twist a thigh," Tingting had already grasped this fact. "I think we should make peace with Xiao Li. Xingxing picked up his own phone, his chubby little hands dialing Jun Li’s number. Once the call connected, he said seriously, "My brother and I want to talk to you alone. If you can co to us within two minutes..."
Before he finished his sentence, he saw Jun Li appear in the room, and Xingxing dropped the phone onto the bed.
"That was quick," he muttered, hurrying to disconnect the ongoing call.
Jun Li sat by the bed, looking at both of them. "Tingting, Xingxing, what do you want to discuss with alone?"
"Brother, you talk."
Tingting’s little face looked sowhat serious. "Tell us, how far have you and our dad progressed in your relationship?"
Jun Li hesitated for a few seconds between concealing and revealing, but eventually, she honestly and concisely answered, "We’ve developed as we should have."
"Tell the truth, are you going to give us a little brother?"
"I have no plans for that at the mont."
Tingting asked again, "If you and Dad have a child in the future, will you be like those on TV, only loving your own child and ignoring or even scolding us?"
"I promise you both, I won’t do that." Jun Li proactively took Tingting’s little hand. "If you’re willing, treat as your friend. Don’t see as a stepmom; you already have a mom. I just hope we can get along harmoniously, okay?"
"We’ll observe you for a while."
Jun Li agreed with a smile, "Sure, observe for as long as you like."
Returning from there, Jun Li’s spirits instantly soared from the trough.
In the morning, Jun Xiangyi got up and found her in the kitchen making breakfast. He asked in surprise, "Aunt, why are you cooking yourself?"
"The little guys have accepted ."
"Those brats, I thought it would take a while longer for them to co around. I didn’t expect you’d win them over so fast. Aunt, honestly, those little guys aren’t actually Long Chan’s real kids but just the children of his mortal body. You don’t need to go out of your way to please them. If they accept you, great. If not, oh well."
Jun Li corrected, "Now that he’s my fiancé, you shouldn’t just use his na. Call him Uncle."
Jun Xiangyi had a helpless look, "I have to call my ex-husband’s brother-in-law Uncle! Wow, the generational gap shrank quickly."
"Who told your aunt to be his fiancée?"
"Fine, fine, I’ll change. I’ll definitely call him Uncle from now on." Jun Xiangyi stepped forward, just about to pick up an egg pancake, when Jun Li slapped her hand. "Look at you, your face isn’t washed, let alone your hands. Go wash up."
"I’ll do it right now." Jun Xiangyi turned and ran back to her room.
When Jun Li placed the breakfast on the table, Jun Xiangyi still hadn’t co out of her room.
"Are you done? It’s ti to eat."
"Coming, coming." Jun Xiangyi ran out, already changed and freshened up with makeup on. "Aunt, it’s rare to see you cook."
"Just eat."
Jun Xiangyi giggled, "Aunt, you really should thank ."
"What for?"
"Back when Dad wanted to pick soone from the Netherworld for marriage, I didn’t choose Long... Uncle. I figured his two kids would an more work as a mom if I married him, so I excluded him. If I had chosen him then, Aunt, he wouldn’t be your fiancé now. Thank for not picking him."
