She rushed back to the office, trembling with rage.
Upon seeing Shi Fei’s smug deanor, and her fearless attitude towards taking a paternity test, Long Fengxi felt as if her heart was about to explode.
He lied to her!
He said he hadn’t touched Shi Fei, so how could there be a child?
Long Fengxi frantically grabbed her phone from the desk and dialed Shen Congmo’s number.
His voice ca through, "Baby, miss ?"
"Baby my ass!" Long Fengxi cursed, "Damn it, Shen Congmo, Shi Fei just ca to see , showed a photo of her and her son, and claid he’s your son, wanting to acknowledge you as the father and do a DNA test. The kid looks a lot like you. Didn’t you say you never touched her? Where did this child co from? How dare you lie to !"
Shen Congmo instantly panicked, "Feng Xi, listen to , I really didn’t touch her, what child? It can’t be mine."
"It’s not yours, yet she’s so confident about doing a DNA test, wanting the child to be acknowledged by your family?" Long Fengxi challenged, "If it’s not, the DNA test would reveal the truth. Has she gone mad?"
"I really haven’t touched her, now you won’t believe anything I say. I’ll contact her, I’ll take the child for a DNA test, I don’t believe this nonsense, I didn’t touch her, the child can’t be mine!"
Long Fengxi hung up the phone and slumped in her chair, her mind in turmoil.
It felt like when she and Shen Congmo had broken up before.
She stopped eating, drinking, sleeping, living days that felt worse than death.
He was the man she loved the most.
And still is.
Her heart beat only for him, on every lonely night abroad, he was all she thought about.
After returning ho and reconciling with him, she thought they were going to be happy.
How could it shatter so easily?

Long Fengxi no longer felt like working, trembling as she grabbed her car keys, phone, and wallet and left the company.
She drove back to Qin Garden.
Lying on the bed she shared with Shen Congmo, rembering the intensely loving and adoring looks they exchanged just the previous night, now she felt the situation was overwhelmingly explosive.
Long Fengxi turned over and couldn’t help crying into the bed.
Years ago, she would have broken up with Shen Congmo over the phone.
But not now.

And much more tolerant.
This reality was too much for her to bear.
The more she thought about it, the worse she felt.
Long Fengxi could no longer hold back and ran to her brother’s house.
Gu Lili and Long Yubei were playing cards on the bed when she burst through the door, startling them.
"Feng Xi..."
Long Fengxi stepped forward, her eyes red, "Brother, sister-in-law."
"What’s wrong?" Gu Lili, initially upset about her bad cards, imdiately threw them down. Long Yubei pointed at her, "You’re cheating, we have four kings, two twos, and two aces, you were bound to lose."
Gu Lili righteously looked at him, "Don’t you see Feng Xi is in trouble? And you still want to play cards? What kind of brother are you?"
Long Yubei put away the cards, "Clearly, you’re the one cheating..."
Long Fengxi sat on the edge of the bed and suddenly burst into tears.
The couple was dumbfounded. Gu Lili crawled next to her, put an arm around her shoulders, "Tell your sister-in-law, what happened?"
