Mubai put away the docunt and said, "Alright, I’ll help you look after them for now."
Xinghe frowned slightly but she didn’t argue with him. After all, she was dying, after her death, these things would naturally be returned back to him.

"Have you co up with any ideas for the creation of the artificial limbs?" he enquired, "Feel free to bounce ideas off . I might prove to be a bigger help than you imagine."
"Temporarily, I have nothing. I need a few days to go over the current design first."
"Feel free to use the design papers stored at the lab."
"I know, thank you," That was Xinghe’s plan to begin with. Since there already were ready designs, she didn’t want to waste ti and start from scratch.
A second saved is a second she could see her son sooner.
The biggest issue with the current chanical artificial limb was its lack of authenticity, dexterity and overall weight.
In other words, Xinghe’s main task was to perfect the existing technology, to make the artificial limb more realistic so to speak.

Thankfully, he would pass her house every day he went to and from work. It sounded crazy in his mind but he was certain the car ride would be much less enjoyable and, not to ntion, lonely without her presence.
The halt in the vehicle snapped Xinghe back into focus.
She opened the car door to leave...
"I’ll co pick you up tomorrow," Mubai dropped.
Xinghe turned back to look at him. Her eyes were indifferent when she rejected him, "There’s no need for that. I’m staying ho for a few days to focus on the design."
"You’re not going to the lab?"
"There’s no need to."
"Alright. I have to be away for business in the coming week anyway. Then, I will see you when I return. Rember to call if you need any help."
Xinghe nodded wordlessly and stepped out of his car.
Mubai rolled down his car window to watch her enter her house before ordering his driver to carry on.
Xia Zhi saw all this unfold from his upstairs window.
When Xinghe walked into the living room, he clambered down the stairs with a series of heavy thuds. He asked with surprise, "Sis, I saw it was Xi Mubai who dropped you ho! Are you two getting back together?"
Xinghe rewarded him with a curious gaze. "Why would you think that? He fetched because our house is on his way ho."
"But... but the way he looks at you is way too suspicious..." Like he was looking at his lover.

Chengwu happened to walk out of the kitchen then. He too contributed, "Xinghe, if Mubai is sincerely aiming to get back together with you, you should consider it. After all, you two were once married and had a child together. A complete family is still the best outco for Lin Lin."
