Su Mu was silent for a few seconds:
"It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just that I’ve never considered it."
"Well, don’t think about it for now. Let know when you feel like making a change."
Su Mu smiled and said nothing more.
Half an hour later, the car stopped outside the bar. Although it was late at night, establishnts like this were at their busiest. Both Su Mu and Fu Shinian disliked such places, so the mont they entered, both instinctively frowned at the sa ti. Fu Shinian noticed Su Mu’s discomfort:
"You can wait for in the car."
Su Mu shook his head:
"I’d better go with you. Shiyue has been in a bad mood lately; I’m afraid you two might end up arguing."
Fu Shinian said nothing more and tightly took Su Mu’s hand as they stepped inside.
They found Fu Shiyue in a corner, utterly drunk and completely unconscious. Just looking at her made Fu Shinian displeased, and Su Mu also felt it was very dangerous, but now was not the ti to pursue these matters. Without wasting any more ti, Fu Shinian directly went over and picked up Fu Shiyue, while Su Mu quickly followed with her bag.
Fu Shinian laid Fu Shiyue down on the back seat without much gentleness. The motion seed to rouse Fu Shiyue slightly, as if she felt nauseous and was on the verge of vomiting. Fu Shinian furrowed his brows:
"If you dare to throw up in my car, I’ll toss you out on the roadside."
Whether Fu Shiyue was scared or simply had not considered vomiting, after Fu Shinian’s statent, she cald down and quickly fell asleep on the back seat. Su Mu sighed gently, watching Fu Shinian:
"Let’s go."
The next second, Fu Shinian slamd the car door shut.
The ride back was very quiet, so quiet that Su Mu didn’t even dare to breathe too loudly. She always felt that at any second, Fu Shinian would ask her about Fu Shiyue, but he never did. Instead, it left Su Mu feeling like she was on pins and needles.
Su Mu knew that Fu Shinian must have guessed that she was keeping sothing about Fu Shiyue from him, especially after Fu Shiyue had called her phone. But Fu Shinian could also keep it to himself, and despite seeing Fu Shiyue so drunk, he still said nothing.
Ultimately, Fu Shinian, worried that holding it in might affect Su Mu, smiled gently:
"Does it make you uncomfortable if I don’t ask anything?"
"Aren’t you curious?"
"Curious." Fu Shinian nodded honestly: "But if you don’t tell , it must an you’ve promised Shiyue sothing. Since you don’t want to break your word, why should I force you to beco soone you hate?"
Su Mu collapsed in frustration in the passenger seat:
"You might as well ask , preferably in a forceful way, making it impossible for not to answer. Otherwise, I’ll still feel guilty."
Fu Shinian was amused by her, and he reached out to rub her hair:
"Alright then, I’ll ask you: why is Shiyue like this? If you don’t tell the truth, you won’t get to sleep tonight. As for how I will punish you, you probably know better than I do, right?"
Su Mu: "..."
Why did she suddenly feel even less inclined to speak?
Fu Shinian smiled faintly and asked, "Did Shiyue get a boyfriend?"
Su Mu looked at Fu Shinian, initially surprised, but gradually she felt bored. In fact, she should have figured it out much earlier – from the very beginning, there seed to be nothing that could escape his notice. He didn’t ask her directly; he just saw through the agreent she had with Su Shiyue. He rely wished that she wouldn’t be a liar in front of Shiyue, which is why he never brought it up.
But his silence didn’t an he didn’t have his own guesses about the whole matter, and they were spot on, too.
Su Mu leaned back in her chair and said nothing, as if she was sulking, while Fu Shinian just smiled and didn’t speak either. They drove in silence all the way to the Gui Ning Residence.
After casually tossing Su Shiyue onto the sofa, Fu Shinian strode towards the staircase. Su Mu watched him, sowhat dumbfounded:
"Just like that?"
Fu Shinian casually responded: "You should know, if she had called today, I wouldn’t have gone at all. It’s only because I was afraid you’d run into trouble if you went out alone that I made this trip. Bringing her back here is already the greatest kindness I can offer."
Su Mu: "Aren’t you worried?"
"Worried about what?"
"..." It seed she couldn’t communicate with him any longer.
Even though Fu Shinian didn’t care, Su Mu still went to the guest room on the first floor to fetch a blanket to cover Su Shiyue with. Fu Shinian didn’t interfere, and Su Mu didn’t have the strength to do so. After making sure Su Shiyue wouldn’t catch a cold in the living room, Su Mu finally went upstairs. Fu Shinian wasn’t in the master bedroom, Qiqi was still sleeping soundly, so Su Mu went straight to the guest room.
Fu Shinian was showering; he had a mild obsession with cleanliness, always needing to bathe after returning from crowded places. Su Mu sniffed her own clothes and seed to detect the sll of smoke and alcohol, so perhaps she should shower as well.
Fu Shinian ca out quickly, and seeing Su Mu sitting on the sofa, he gave a slight smile:
"Thinking of continuing what we didn’t finish earlier?"
Su Mu ignored him, simply stating, "I also want to shower."
"Go ahead, but you should’ve told earlier. In that case, we could have gone together."
Su Mu disregarded his remark completely.
Just after Su Mu finished her shower, Fu Shinian pushed the door open, startling her. But a mont later, she got used to it. Since resuming their relationship, such occurrences had happened countless tis; there was no need for pretense. Seeing that Su Mu looked at him calmly, Fu Shinian slightly smiled and handed her the pajamas:
"You forgot to bring your pajamas."
Su Mu thought about it and realized it was true. She took the pajamas from his hand and put them on, expecting him not to be so kind. But after she dressed, he didn’t touch her inappropriately, which sohow surprised her and made her look at him a few more tis.
Noticing Su Mu’s gaze, Fu Shinian slightly raised an eyebrow:
"From your expression, it seems I see disappointnt?"
"What am I disappointed about?"
"You thought I would do sothing to you, right??"
Su Mu: "..."
Fu Shinian chuckled, pulling her in front of him and pinning her between the sink and his chest. He grabbed the hairdryer and began to blow-dry her hair, his voice mixing with the sound of the dryer, softly reaching her:
"Susu, don’t doubt your charm. I still want you to this day. But tomorrow isn’t the weekend; you need to go to the studio, and it’s so late now. If I followed my own desires, who knows how late it would beco. But if you want to, I’m always available."
Su Mu laughed: "I didn’t think so."
"Good, you didn’t think so, you’re the purest."
