Taking the nu from Wen Shaoyuan’s hands, Su Mu handed it straight to Su Shiyue, who was quite curious and reflective about the way the two interacted. She casually ordered a couple of dishes and then returned her focus back to Wen Shaoyuan, as if he were the one worth her ti and energy to study.

Su Mu smiled slightly, thought about Wen Han’s taste, added two more of his favorite dishes, and told the waiter to start serving.

Apart from Qiqi, who kept talking to Wen Shaoyuan, neither Su Shiyue nor Su Mu said anything. Then Su Shiyue thought of sothing, lightly tapped Su Mu, and whispered:

"Sister-in-law, will my brother not get jealous after he knows you’re dining with Wen Han?"

Su Mu slightly raised her eyebrows:

"This doesn’t seem to fall within my consideration."

Hearing her response, Su Shiyue was taken aback for a mont and then burst into laughter, giving Su Mu a thumbs-up. Su Mu also laughed, but before Wen Han arrived, she still had a few words she wanted to say to Wen Shaoyuan, so she turned her gaze to him and began to speak:

"Shaoyuan, shouldn’t you let your family know that you won’t be coming ho for dinner tonight?"

Wen Shaoyuan, who had been looking at Qiqi playing with a Rubik’s Cube sideways, turned his head upon hearing Su Mu’s words. His eyes t hers, and in just an instant, he seed to understand sothing. Though his face showed an awkward expression, there was no regret as he asked Su Mu:

"Aunt Su, did my dad call you?"

Su Mu nodded:

"You should have told , and also inford your dad. He’ll be very worried not seeing you."

"I know, but I really wanted to see Qiqi."

"That doesn’t seem to be a conflict." Su Mu looked at Wen Shaoyuan. "I know that sothing has happened recently that may have given you a lot of concerns, but even if there are many reasons, leaving without informing your parents is definitely not the right choice. I rember you promised three years ago that you would never do such a thing again. I thought you would always rember, but you ended up breaking your word to ."

"I’m sorry, Aunt Su."

Su Mu fell silent for a few seconds and then slowly said:

"I didn’t an to bla you. If you have concerns and want to see Qiqi, you could have called . I don’t believe you’ve deleted my number; you must know I would have brought Qiqi to see you, yet you didn’t, and instead chose a way that worried everyone."

Wen Shaoyuan remained silent.

"Shaoyuan, I know you have a good relationship with Qiqi, and I am very happy that you are there with her as she grows up. But if you make such a move again, I will not let you see her anymore."

Su Mu’s words stunned Wen Shaoyuan. He looked up at her wanting to explain, but before he could speak, he was interrupted by Qiqi, who had been quietly listening: "Wooden block, why? Why can’t I see Big Brother Shaoyuan?"

Su Mu didn’t pay attention to Qiqi’s word, her gaze still fixed on Wen Shaoyuan as she said:

"I just want you to understand that no matter how many problems we adults have, it won’t affect your relationship with Qiqi. You two could interact just like before. However, your action of running away from ho has changed your relationship with her, as if etings can only be achieved through secrecy. This not only affects you and Qiqi but also makes the relationship between and your father very awkward."

"I didn’t an that."

"Furthermore," Su Mu said. "Even if you’re smart on your own, in the end, you’re still a child. What if sothing unexpected happened during this ti? How should I face your father and grandmother, and how should I explain it to Qiqi? Have you thought about these things?"

Wen Shaoyuan was at a loss for words after Su Mu’s remarks, and the atmosphere fell silent for a mont. At first, Su Shiyue didn’t understand the reason, but now he got it and smiled, trying to smooth things over:

"Co on, don’t be angry, Sister-in-law. I think Shaoyuan knows his mistake now and won’t do it again next ti, right?"

Wen Shaoyuan nodded seriously, looking earnestly at Su Mu:

"Aunt Su, I promise you, this will definitely be the last ti. If I want to see Qiqi next ti, I will tell my dad or tell you directly, and won’t engage in such childish behavior anymore."

Su Mu’s stern expression softened with Wen Shaoyuan’s promise and she smiled slightly:

"Good, Aunt Su believes you. I really don’t hope such a thing happens again."

Wen Shaoyuan nodded: "It really won’t happen again."

At this mont, Qiqi tightly held Wen Shaoyuan’s hand: "Big Brother Shaoyuan, don’t be afraid, next ti, Qiqi will co to see you, then Wooden block won’t scold you."

Before Su Mu could frown, Wen Shaoyuan had already taken it upon himself to instruct Qiqi:

"Qiqi, what Big Brother Shaoyuan did today was a bad example for you. You shouldn’t imitate . Everything Aunt Su said is for my own good, and you should thank her."

Qiqi also smiled:

"I know, I was just afraid you would be unhappy."

"I won’t be." Wen Shaoyuan chuckled: "As long as I see you, I won’t be unhappy."

At which, Su Shiyue couldn’t help but laugh:

"Am I being fed dog food by two kids here?"

Su Mu said:

"You’ll get used to it; I’ve been dealing with this for almost three years."

When the dishes were all served, Wen Han arrived. Seeing him co into the private room, Wen Shaoyuan wasn’t surprised. He got up from his chair and stood properly in front of Wen Han, then sincerely apologized:

"I’m sorry, Dad. I shouldn’t have left ho without a sound to find Qiqi. Aunt Su has already scolded , but I still should apologize to you for making you worry. I will never do this again, please forgive ."

Even though Wen Han ca with pent-up frustration and had made up his mind to really give that kid a strict talking to, there might be a next ti, and who knows what could happen. But at this mont, seeing Wen Shaoyuan standing in front of him, admitting his fault humbly, the frustration in Wen Han’s heart had already dissipated. Yet, he still didn’t want to let him off easily.

Su Mu more or less understood Wen Han’s thoughts and smiled lightly;

"Shaoyuan is not a disobedient child, perhaps he really missed Qiqi this ti, and with many concerns, made such a decision. Since he has said he won’t do it again, I believe he truly realizes his mistakes, and it definitely won’t happen in the future. Give him another chance."

The last bit of annoyance in Wen Han’s heart disappeared completely at Su Mu’s intercession. He adjusted his tie, sat down, and looked at Wen Shaoyuan still standing there. Just as he was about to speak, Qiqi also got down from her chair and stood protectively in front of Wen Shaoyuan like a hen with her chicks, looking at Wen Han:

"Uncle Wen, if you have to bla soone, bla . I asked Big Brother Shaoyuan to co."
