Su Shiyue knocked on the office door, then pushed it open and placed the samples on the low table in the reception area:

"Sister-in-law, here are the samples you requested."

Upon hearing this, Su Mu looked up at her and smiled slightly: "Thank you for your hard work."

The title ’sister-in-law’ caused Wei Shaoqin to involuntarily shift his gaze to her, and upon seeing it was Su Shiyue, he frowned unconsciously and imdiately asked Su Mu:

"Why did you let her co to your studio?"

Though Su Shiyue had beco much steadier in temperant, this did not an she could ignore the evident malice and dissatisfaction from others. Therefore, without holding back, she retorted softly:

"Junior President Wei, what does my working in my sister-in-law’s studio have to do with you? Even if I’m not suitable, it’s my sister-in-law who agreed. This is purely a family matter. What does it have to do with you?"

Although Su Mu did not mind the argunt between Su Shiyue and Wei Shaoqin, Yu Qingzhou was still there, and it seed a bit inappropriate. Su Mu couldn’t help but look back at Su Shiyue, who subtly raised her eyebrows and did not continue speaking, turning around to leave but then she noticed that the person next to Wei Shaoqin had been staring at her all along.

This wasn’t the first ti Su Shiyue had t Yu Qingzhou, but last ti he had been following behind Fu Shinian, and she had been in an awful mood, only sparing him a brief glance. However, today, faced with this inexplicable eye contact, her heart skipped a beat, filled with nervousness.

Initially, Su Mu intended to apologize to Yu Qingzhou, but when her gaze shifted, she realized he was staring at Su Shiyue without blinking. Unsure of the emotions in his gaze, she turned towards Wei Shaoqin.

Wei Shaoqin was also surprised at their current behavior, receiving Su Mu’s signal, he gently nudged Yu Qingzhou and asked quietly:

"Do you know her?"

Regaining his composure, Yu Qingzhou seed a bit flustered, then shook his head:

"No, I don’t know her, but I’ve seen her once."

Feeling that Yu Qingzhou’s response was sowhat odd, Su Mu did not inquire further, and was about to ask Su Shiyue to leave when she noticed Su Shiyue’s blushing face. Smirking, she said, "You can go out first."

Su Shiyue also ca back to reality, understanding the look in Su Mu’s eyes ant she had been seen through, and feeling sowhat embarrassed, she promptly left.

Afterward, Yu Qingzhou seed completely out of sorts, with the samples laid out in front of him; it appeared he was selecting them, but ten minutes passed and he still remained on the sa page. Wei Shaoqin also felt sothing was off and exchanged glances with Su Mu, who subtly shook her head and gestured towards the outside.

Wei Shaoqin nodded, and after watching Su Mu stand up and leave, he cleared his throat and said to Yu Qingzhou:

"You can take your ti here, I’m going out for a smoke."

Yu Qingzhou glanced at the spot Su Mu had just vacated, now empty without her presence. Caught up in his thoughts, he hadn’t noticed her leave. At this mont, Wei Shaoqin’s departure was evidently to find Su Mu, sothing Yu Qingzhou was well aware of, yet he didn’t stop him and simply nodded lightly:

"Alright."

As Wei Shaoqin stood up to leave, he couldn’t help but ask with so concern:

"Are you alright?"

Yu Qingzhou smiled:

"Do I look like I’m having issues?"

To Wei Shaoqin, he indeed looked like he was having issues, but he did not voice it out, leaving silently after a few seconds, leaving Yu Qingzhou looking towards where Wei Shaoqin had exited, lost in thought for a long ti.

As Wei Shaoqin walked downstairs, Su Mu was guiding so post-editing work, voicing her opinions. After seeing him co down, she spoke a few more words to the post-production team and then entered an adjacent conference room. Wei Shaoqin walked over, hesitating for a mont whether to have a smoke, but after a glance at Su Mu, he repressed his emotions and was the first to speak:

"What’s going on with your arm?"

Su Mu smiled:

"Didn’t I already ntion it?"

"Do you think I’m a fool? You think I’d believe such a la excuse?"

Su Mu smiled slightly, knowing she couldn’t deceive him, and briefly explained the incident at the mall the other day. If it had been the old Wei Shaoqin, he would have jumped up furiously upon hearing such a thing, but he had long passed the age of impulsiveness and arrogance, and upon hearing it, he only furrowed his brow and asked:

"Is Jiang Bei alright?"

"Qiao Na couldn’t do much to Jiang Bei, and Fu Shinian has also taken care of it personally. She won’t be bothering Jiang Bei anymore." Su Mu sat down, recalling Jiang Bei with a slight frown: "But Jiang Bei’s condition isn’t very good. I accompanied her to a prenatal checkup a few days ago, and the results were not good. Her ntal state is also very low. I’ve visited her a couple of tis these past days, but there doesn’t seem to be any significant change."

Wei Shaoqin listened, frowning:

"So she’s still insisting on not divorcing, even though she’s turned into exactly what she used to hate?"

"I’ve asked, but Jiang Bei has no such plans. She’s right, the marriage with Ji Nanfeng could be easily resolved, but after the divorce, there’s still Rong Shen. Compared to Rong Shen, Ji Nanfeng is actually easier to deal with."

Wei Shaoqin was silent for a long while, cursing after a mont: "What the hell is all this."

Jiang Bei’s issues were not sothing they could clearly discuss in a few words, and feeling lancholic here was useless. Su Mu did not continue the topic, but looking at Wei Shaoqin, she asked:

"How do you know Yu Qingzhou?"

"From your tone, you know him?"

Su Mu shook her head: "I don’t, but Lin Ning has t him once, said it’s related to Shi Lihua, but as to what exactly the relationship is, it’s not very clear."

Wei Shaoqin didn’t show much reaction upon hearing this and simply summarized:

"We t by chance. We got along and t a few tis. As for his relationship with Shi Lihua, he shouldn’t have done anything to harm you, right?"

Su Mu shook her head:

"No, he hasn’t."

"Good, then it’s fine. When it cos to making friends, I just go with the feel. He’s not bad, but if he ever did sothing harmful to you, I wouldn’t continue being his friend, after all, you and Jiang Bei are my most important friends now."

Su Mu smiled and said nothing.

Wei Shaoqin also fell silent, his gaze drifting outside the conference room, seeing Su Shiyue bustling about. Wei Shaoqin recalled the mont when Su Shiyue and Yu Qingzhou t earlier and chuckled, starting:

"They were acting weird earlier. You noticed too, right?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"Nothing much, just based on my years of experience in judging people, I’d say Su Shiyue has feelings for Yu Qingzhou, but Yu Qingzhou seems to have other plans for Su Shiyue."

Su Mu: "You could tell all that?"
